The first time I tried this challenge on the Ring, I was so happy I could overtake the leader in one of the last corners before the final straight. But when I crossed the finish line I realised I still had to do another lap...

Still playing this in 2021... Trying to get from level 38 to 40 so I can do the nurburgring 24 hrs race!
I already won the 24hr of Le Mans twice, thinking the 2nd time I'd have enough XP to make level 40.
Play Nurburgring 4 hours over and over again. That's what I'm going to do. Right now I'm at level 38. Apparently Nurburgring 4 hours has the best XP/minute ratio in the entire game now that the online services have shut down. Considering that you have already won Le Mans twice, getting a good enough car for Nurburgring 4 hours shouldn't be a problem either.

@@RandomGuy37 I am playing GT5 since last month, I have level 28 and im grinding money on american GT championship(2 race one with Indianapolis and Daytona inner course) with my '63 Corvette Z06 Race Car. I am getting 18k XP and 97k CR every 4 minutes. I think it is good, but propably not the best.

The 2.11 update cut back on some money making opportunities. I was making 1.3mil in about 8.5 minutes with the Tacoma pickup truck but after the PP adjustment from the update it's now worthless. My question - is this Ferrari challenge still the same kind of good deal as shown in the video after version 2.11? If so, I might keep practicing at it. Thanks for the excellent videos!

Started using your method this afternoon and I've been making 3,726,000 credits/358800 experience points per race. It only takes four minutes a race so this is some quick and easy money and level grinding.
Sorry I haven't gotten a chance to play recently so I just sat down tonight. I think I'm following the instructions you left as I get into first place but as soon as I continue to drive back in the other direction I get put back in 12th? So after I make the U Turn I'm not quite sure where to go.
what level do you have to be for this event and is the formula gran turismo as good as the Ferrari cars
I don't understand how to get the money bc am grinding the American championship on the Indy race track and I get 100k or 97k to be exact per race that takes about 3.50min-4m to complete I have done the math and it takes about 5 or more hours of straight grinding no stop for 10m and that's how much the f1 car cost how can I make this faster??
There isn't much more to add. You can win the Tokyo Route 246 race in the Seasonal Event 355PP Lightweight K Cup with a Daihatsu OFC-1 even with the power turned down to 325-330PP. You might need to reload the race if the faster cars (OFC-1 or Cappucino) are in the first few positions, but this race is pretty easy once you know the course. I brake only about four times each circuit. The rest of the time, it's full throttle with some backing off at a couple points. Slipstream on the straight.

How did you find the other races in the F1 Seasonal?
From the sublime to the ridiculous: I think you can do almost as well in the same time on the 355PP Lightweight K Cup: Tokyo Route 246. By turning down the engine power, I have pulled in about 1.2 million credits in a race around half the time of the Ferrari Formula Challenge: Nürburgring. Much less driving skill required (I can do it with the dualshock) and the Daihatsu OFC-1 costs a bit less too.

I agree that the R246 event is a great value. I bought the F1 (hardly a value) so I could try the challenge show in the video, but I forgot that I'm not really that good! But the R246 race is much more forgiving of mistakes. I had an ironic moment where I didn't want to change the oil because it would cost me too much.

Buy a GT Formula put oil change, go in seasonal for formula GT, go to the last race (eiffel) with 200% credit and pp difference which is 950pp and you got 905pp, you get 1.66m in 6min30 hope it help
Yeah, the glitch where you ride right on those two lines and go the wrong way back to the starting line. Its absolutely fantastic. Just did it a whole bunch to buy out the online vender that was selling a ton of Gran Turismo original vehicles before they had the chance to cycle out.
Personally I found the Eiffel custom circuit easier than the Nurburgring. My record is placing first on Eiffel with 785PP which got me 3.2 million credits.

Why not racing soft tires? Don't the soft have much more grip?
Best tires that were allowed were hards.

If you can clearly see it is an Ferrari event so the GT Formula will not be allowed, they're different cars. Hope this helps :)
you can do the ferrari F1 custom with a PP as low as 760pp and still win along as you don't make any mistakes it is really easy! I can get 3.3-3.4 mil in 12 mins and it is way easier than the ring.
good way to get money is go to nascar in seasonal events and do the race on the far right and make your nascar 610 pp and just cut corners (ps only when 200 %)
And why don't you use the Ferrari F2010?
best thing by far, take a chapparal 2j with about 670pp on the new world circuit tours motegi course... you get like 1.4 mill per race

you should do the NASCAR challenge (650pp), nascars are 633 or something like that DOWNTUNE to 570~580pp and do Monza it's i believe the third or the fourth map you'll get about 3,1 mil and 400~440k exp

there is a special event that has 500k for 650pp cars for 1 lap on the nurburgring

Be my guest by all means. It's just that other glitches have been patched already.
Such as the inconsistencies in penalties on "De La Sarthe" in the DreamCarChampionship Seasonal and the "Formula1 car" pp trick on the seasonals. (fi. 710pp F1 car results in all other cars becoming F1 cars too)
But, make sure you make a video of your glitch, because some people might not understand it fully when explained text-wise.

Easier method (very easy)
1. Download GT_editor and install
2. Transfer data to a usb or a portable hardisk then to your pc. open data with editor and give your self up to 99999999 cr
3. Transfer the save data back to the ps3
Voila! Now you can buy all the cars in the game.
Another trick to get the cars you want in the used cars selection is to go ti licence enter b and go to next test up till b5 then then the used garage will be refreshed.

There is one that i found it is a Seasonal event A-spec level 5 on Laguna Seca you need an R8 or an Enzo for this fully tuned to around 897-903 HP i do this every time for first place and i get around a million with 200% credit increase. It's great!

I tuned a used 22k Mitsubishi gt twin turbo to 650 -700 hp and got 330 km/h in Daytona.
I've got one for 1,6mil
1. pick a AWD/4WD car ---> tune it to 470pp to get the 2x bonus
2. seasonal events ---> 4WD --> La Sarthe
3. Race --> Cut the corners (no penalties)
4. ????
PROFIT
(note: get the 200% for max cash )
the easiest legit method i know is get an old and slow FF car lower the PP as much as possible and do the FF challenge seasonal event even if your last with the log in bonus i get 2 million plus in around 10 mins

a better way to make 3-4 million is buy a nascar (2011), do the nascar challange at monza, turn all downforce off, and put the power to aroud 60% and do lap times of around 1.45-1.47

haha, I do that one with an evo ix lancer, 415PP is still easy to win, and a great way to earn tons of cash
This one gives you more in less time if you're willing to drive rather than let your driver do it for you.

With a finished 3 minutes behind 1st, I fail to see how useful a tip this is. For anyone advanced enough to place first, I don't think grinding in this fashion is at all useful as CR and experience can easily be enjoyably obtained simply by winning the various seasonal events. For intermediate players wanting to boost up, they would be better off grinding at Rome or Tokyo which is what I did.

I didn't give up so quickly and gave this tip a legit attempt. Either pushing for speed and just maneuvering carefully, the results were the same each and every attempt - the 12th place car eventually faded off into the distance leaving me to retry over and over again. And that was without slipping off the course. I think this is some elitist BS, frankly speaking.
