if you're trying to cool down your iPad I recommend this it's a lot cheaper the CatXQ Semiconductor Cooler for ipad it's on Amazon it's $25 it's a thermoelectric cooler

GPS could use it do. Destroyed a Garmim not too long leaving in my car a couple fours.
It does not help with apples dark color and black glass (space gray color) that’s why i only get that color on some apple products such as my Apple Watch that’s space gray but my iPhone is silver with the white screen

I don't know about the iPad Pros, but on the iPad Air, the heat is all generated from the other side of the device, so having the home button along the cutout means that the hottest components are at the top and on the opposite side from the fans. I don't know if that's just bad design of the cooler, but that's some info for you. Putting it in the other way around where the hottest parts (I assume it's the processor down there getting hot and not the battery) is directly against the fans then you block the charging port of the iPad. You can still access the home button easily, but you'd have to remove it to charge it. So like I said, not sure if it's just an oversight or if it's bad design, but either way it's a nuisance.
The fans are designed to blow air across the entire back of the device so wherever the heat is it will be dissipated by the airflow.

Massively overpriced. My solution in my aircraft at least was to simply use a small lithium powerbank with a USB fan plugged into it. This creates more airflow over the back metal chassis since the fan is bigger, and because I used a powerbank with two USB inputs, it also keeps my iPad charged.
I guess it depends on personal needs.
I fly professionally... Usually in a dealership parking lot filled with new cars.
Timing is critical for the angle of the sun and the accommodation of the dealership staff. If I can't get the shots I need because the iPad locks up then I may have to come back days or maybe weeks later. Not to mention if I have a time-specific authorization from the FAA to fly the drone it could be another 90 day process to get another one.
The recreational user may not be able to justify the cost but it was a no-brainer for me.
I'm not arguing against a fan, I'm arguing that you, like most people, probably already own at least one powerbank, and can pick up a USB fan for ten bucks. It may not be as pretty, but I'm sure you could then velcro the small lithium powerbank to your radio, and simply aim the fan at the back of the ipad. It works in my airplane fine this way, which was overheating at times because of being mounted up high in the sun behind my windscreen where there was no airflow and high temps at low altitude in Texas heat. If this product were fifty bucks, I could justify it perhaps, but two hundred for some simple plastic molding and 5V fans is too much IMO.
I understand. I agree it would be really nice if we could buy this X-Naut product for $50... way less then some Otterbox and other cases :)
