Hi. Thanks for the video. I'm going to try this now, so I may soon answer my own questions, but I was wondering if you put your F1 into midi mode before doing this and how you save the mapping? I'm hoping to map my F1 for my viewpoints, with deck A's cuepoints 1-4 running horizontally along the top 4 buttons, 5-8 on the line underneath, then the same for deck B on the bottom 2 rows. Would you have any tips on that? Thanks!
perfect video, i was wondering if you could help me out on creating a mapping to where i can play, and stop deck a and be with pads 1,2,3,4. Meaning deck A would play with pad 1 and stop with pad 2. And deck b controlled with pads 3 and 4. Also I wanna turn one of the four faders into a crossfader. and the filter knobs into pitch controllers. thanks for your help.
Great tutorial BUT I have some questions because there is no tutorial on the following... I would like to have my F1 be able to use the standard settings AND be able to use it as a FX pre-programmed deck... I see a lot of tutorials how to load certain pre programmed FX modes but would like to program my own effects. A lot of those have a function to first press 'SHIFT + BROWSE' and then the deck is in a different mode. Actually nobody on UA-cam or the internet seems to have a tutorial how to do or programme this? And: there isn't a tutorial either if the main controls on say my Z2 stay 'in tact'. For instance: Does Traktor understand that if I programmed say one button on the F1 to 'Wormhole', does the FX light/button on my Z2 light up then?
DJ Pep the SHIFT+BROWSE function you are talking about on NI controllers puts them in MIDI Mode rather than NI protocol mode. This means button presses can be sent in a more generic way supported by other controllers. I've forgotten if the F1 supports this, but worth checking. Using MIDI Mode means you can run the original mapping side by side with your custom mapping and just switch between them with the SHIFT+BROWSE buttons. When you set up a MIDI Mode mapping, you add a generic MIDI device in the Input Device settings in Traktor instead of adding an F1 mapping. If your mapping enables functions picked up by other controllers, then LEDs will often light up but not guaranteed.
The same does not applies for D2 controllers since you have to work via Generic MIDI but is still confusing. Can you help creating a video that can show this?
dude it hepled me! but with remapping Mixtrack pro filter knob for Filter mix in traktor.. but i just copy that setings on premapp and set it for new knob nice. :D
Thanks, very clear.
Fantastic!

thank you so much. i was having trouble with my volume faders. it was controlling the fx faders instead. first controller.
If you set a modifier you can keep the original control function on the remix deck but have each filter control a,b,c,d while holding shift .
thanks on new traktor -> Channel FX Ajust

You need to map the Deck Play control and use the Toggle Interaction mode so you can even use one button to play/stop.
thanks, i apreciate the help
This is great, but it doesn't turn the filter on as it does with an original filter knob.
i have a xone k2 fron allen and in controller manager at mixer not appear filter adjust. can you help me to get filter on my xone k2?
