Well, your video is highly useful, allowing me to map my Behringer CMD PL-1 midi control to control the STEM on/off and STEMS volume on two Traktor Decks. Additionally, the CMD PL-1 has been mapped to control both filter and effects on and off by mapping the 1 through 4 decks as deck one for STEMS on/off, deck two for FXs on/off, and deck three for filter on/off. Thanks!
Learning how to remap unused knobs and buttons on my S4 Mk1 was a game changer for me since I have not upgraded my Kontroller in years, just have to use an audio interface since the onboard sound card is crap in the S4 Mk1.
Excellent share, Nuo, some absolute gems of knowledge on mapping. Just imagine if NI hadn't kinda dropped Traktor, this channel would be blowing up. I live in serious hope that Traktor can once again find it's rightful place next to the big two, and that NI have a change of heart/policies.
I think Traktor is still ahead with some of their ideas. Like stems waveforms view (4 per deck), or 4 effect units I have tried each of the top current DJ software on the market, but still levitate towards Traktor 🤷♂️😅
Hi, everything work perfect except...the fader controlling the volumes and the "rotary" on the top of faders are not controlling the Filter..I was watching your video several time and right now when I am writing to you. Thank you for your feedback.
For me, I would rather have the volume of the stems on the faders, the filter on the top filter knobs and the fx send on the buttons below. But I would love to just need one F1 kontroller. Could it be done by using layers? Layer 1 controlling deck A and layer 2 controlling deck B etc etc. Is this something you could map out?
It can be done) but faders for stems volume - I don’t really like if using one F1 for both decks A&B, because of software value takeover (imagine what would happen if you put vocals to 0, and then switch to another deck, where vocals are at 100). But it is possible, and you don’t even need to map anything - it’s already available in default F1 mapping. Just use Shift+Rotary encoder, I think, to switch decks, and FX sends have their own row of pads
yes, just don'T delete the default mappign like he did, you can then select in the traktor F1 section in setting which one you can switch to with shift + browse, you can either shift to user mode or midi mode. anyway why even map manually when there is a native mapping from native instrumentrs to do this?

I was struggling to map my Faderfox EC4 for similar functions and really hitting a wall until watching your video. Thanks for the clear explanations!
Glad it helped!
Great video!

I'm going to try to apply this to my Xone K2. Unless you already have the mapping somewhere for download? Wish me luck!
Search for mappings on djtechtools) maybe something suits your needs)
Hi, if I understand correctly, I can use the controller in normal mode for remix decks and switch to midi mode to control steam deck?
In the video I’m not using MIDI mode, I’m just creating new native mapping. But what you’re saying is also possible
@@DJNUOthank you, i want to use F1 100%💪
is it a limited function for the pro edition? mine is traktor pro 3 le and has midi mapping add button grayed out
No idea, never used LE 🙂
@@DJNUO it seems it is, I had to directly tamper the config file to make it work
I have the stems on my Mac book pro but it will not update to the 3.0 keeps saying wait 7 min to update but no luck any advice thanks..
In case you’re experiencing issues with in-app update - plz download and install the latest version from the website: nuo-stems.com 🙂
When you make this custom set-up for stemdecks, are you then still able to play around with the default setup for remix decks?
I believe “no” with this mapping. However it is possible to create mapping that would take “deck flavor” into consideration 🙂

@JohnSmith-pn2vl in my case - I wanted to control 2 stem decks at the same time with one F1 (as in my deep house video on the beach) 🙂
