Hi. Thanks for the video. I'm going to try this now, so I may soon answer my own questions, but I was wondering if you put your F1 into midi mode before doing this and how you save the mapping? I'm hoping to map my F1 for my viewpoints, with deck A's cuepoints 1-4 running horizontally along the top 4 buttons, 5-8 on the line underneath, then the same for deck B on the bottom 2 rows. Would you have any tips on that? Thanks!

At around 4:28 you took sample and captured to load in the remix deck. Can I do that by using Mac keyboard? Not using a mixer. Wait read Alchemista response below....thank you!

I need lil help, I applied the filters to F1 knobs, NP but when I go try adding modifiers , I click “Add In” scroll to “Mixer” but no “Filter Adjust” option appears ,, I see a “FX Adjust” but that didn’t work ,, I have TRAKTOR PRO 3,, Were can I find “filter adjust” option in here .?.?.?

Hi which traktor are you using I have traktor pro 3.2 and I trying to do with doble click the remix deck samples like you do on minute 2.58 but my doesn't show the grey line can you tell me how to do it

I'm sure someone told you this but just in case, to change the volume on a mac without the horrible sound every time you adjust the volume go to "system preferences" then "sound" then "sound effects" then deselect "play sound when volume is changed." Thank for the great tutorials.

If you set a modifier you can keep the original control function on the remix deck but have each filter control a,b,c,d while holding shift .

Great tutorial BUT I have some questions because there is no tutorial on the following... I would like to have my F1 be able to use the standard settings AND be able to use it as a FX pre-programmed deck... I see a lot of tutorials how to load certain pre programmed FX modes but would like to program my own effects. A lot of those have a function to first press 'SHIFT + BROWSE' and then the deck is in a different mode. Actually nobody on UA-cam or the internet seems to have a tutorial how to do or programme this? And: there isn't a tutorial either if the main controls on say my Z2 stay 'in tact'. For instance: Does Traktor understand that if I programmed say one button on the F1 to 'Wormhole', does the FX light/button on my Z2 light up then?

hello dj tm i want to ask you about modifier. i'm using samson m25 and want to assign knob 1 to control gain also filter. already make a modifire map and set to second map for filter. but when i press pad for modifire 1 and turn the knob it move the volume fader also filter knob. dunno what happen, if you know the problem pls help me out. thanks

I am stuck in the following two areas. 1. I have already overridden the factory map for Filter Knob 1 on the F1 remix deck to control the track deck filter instead. I don't need it to control one Remix Deck - I want the filter to control ALL filter decks at the same time. Now, I want that same filter knob to also control something else, via a shift key (using a modifier). For example, a flange rate. However, when I use my pad as a shift key and rotate the filter, both the track filter and flange rate change together! This only happens when I remap the filter knob's original function as a remix deck filter. If I leave the factory map alone for the filter knob, then set up a modifier via a shift key for that same knob to control another function, everything works fine. But I don't want the original factory map setting for the filter knob! I want to change the original factory map of the filter knob to a new function, then set a shift key modifier ON TOP OF THAT and control them independently. But when I move the filter knob while holding down the shift key, both flange rate and the track deck filter knobs move at the same time. Is there a work around for this? I have set it up so that when I press a certain pad it switches the flange effect ON and also acts as a modifier for the flange rate to be controlled by the filter knob. And that filter knob is controlling not only the flange rate, but also the parameter I reassigned it to which is track deck filter, even when I press the shift key. 2. I use a pad as a shift key, as you have already seen. However, I can only seem to assign pads on PAGE 1. I want to use PAGE 1 and 2 for my samples, and put my pad shift key on page 3, so I can access effects and so on when I press a pad. I hope this makes sense and I would be grateful for any help here!
