I love this game so much. Even though I've 100%ed the game after a day or so, I still love starting the last (secret ooo) level, and helping people out. One time, it took an hour and a half for all four players to make it to the end, but it felt to gratifying to see people getting to the end who otherwise would've struggled a LOT more playing alone.
I’m really bad at platformers, so one time I was playing a level and I kept dying and someone went along with me reviving me, which was very heartwarming, till I died in a really stupid way and they started spamming the happy emote to laugh at me. Great video!
Wonder is definitely my favorite 2D Mario ever, and it’s really not even close anymore. So much love put into each animation and level… and of course I had a blast playing online with my friends! They really learned from Mario Maker 2’s abysmal online and making it asynchronous so everyone has their own save is beautiful. 🎉
It really is perfect for platformers! And it's implemented so well. Just turn it on or off with the press of a button. No long loading times, only lagging for a second or two when someone joins. It's such an improvement from Mario Maker 2!
Weird comparison but this is how I felt about Elden Ring co-op. Completely optional but just felt good helping or getting help from strangers in an otherwise lonely world
If you haven't yet then you gotta play Death Stranding, the first iteration of the asynchronus supportive multiplayer format (unless you wanna count Demon Souls messages as the first).
I've seen people play Death Stranding and although it isn't my type of game, implementing this type of multiplayer is amazing. I just didn't expect Nintendo of all companies to do something like it lol

Mario wonder felt like online was the intended experience, it was made for multiplayer while working in singleplayer
That last line was so good yeah it sums it up so well
Mario Wonder is the second Strand type game…
It really makes you feel like you're stranding
agree

😁
This would be nice if I didn’t have to spend extra for online :)
Ye olde Nintendo Online be the one problem
