@@bazdog4464 yeah. I like that too. Really annoying when i pick a secluded area and then all of a sudden 3 villagers surround me. But it does bring drama and i love making up drama in games
Something I always really appreciated about New Leaf was that house expansions weren't an entirely linear progression like New Horizons. You choose what upgrades you want, whether you want to add a new room or make an existing room bigger, and depending on what you chose it would affect the amount you had to pay back on your next loan. New Horizons lets you choose the order you unlock the rooms in as far as I remember, but that's kinda it. They come as one size, and the loan just gets progressively bigger each time. It always felt slightly off to me
Regarding _New Leaf,_ I just looked it up and you’re absolutely right! I never noticed this when I first played the game. The main room-the first room you see when entering a house-is actually distinct from any additional rooms in that it costs less to upgrade it to the maximum 8x8 size. That’s actually really interesting now knowing this information. Regarding _New Horizons,_ do you mean that there is no way to upgrade the size of a room but the loan increasingly gets bigger just because you decided to add another room? If so, that _sucks._ On a side note, I took a look at the house customization in _New Leaf_ aside from architectural styles, and the sheer number of ways you can modify your house and truly make it yours (including the HHA awards) is astounding for a 3DS game. I never knew you could customize your house this much when I played it the year it came out.
24:58 hearing this is pretty surprising to me, i remember it took me years of active playing to run out of new dialogue in new leaf, and i talked to villagers all the time. it always felt like there was an extreme amount of villager dialogue in new leaf, especially when you have a bunch of different villager types in your town
It's definitely feels like there's more dialogue, it's just not as interesting as past games. There's definitely a good bit of dialogue to go through, but it's more on the safer side. New Horizons had less dialogue and less interesting stuff. Whereas games like Wild World maybe had less dialogue than New Leaf, but had more personality to it. Hope I make sense with that lol
same, I only ever got a repeat from villagers with the same personality, and even still they feel like different people unlike New Horizons where I get the same 3 or 4 lines every time

I think the 'dmaster out' thing is an old feature of online forums. I remember on some sites you could add a signature message that was displayed on all your posts. So, maybe that was what was going on there.
It definitely wasn’t. Auto-signatures were usually more elaborate than this, and you could tell when the post ended and the sig began. Dmaster is most likely from an earlier generation, one where automatic siggies in forums weren’t a thing, and people had to manually add them to each post. That kind of behavior then carries over, inevitably, to sig-less forums like the one on screen, because people are so used to having their little catchphrase at the end of each post. I remember back in the day when social media just started out and people were still in a forum mindset, people would add siggies to Facebook posts, UA-cam comments and stuff. Not Twitter tho, because of the character limit 😅
@@ArualiaaPlenty of older forums had signatures. I remember the InvisionFree forums back in ‘05 (especially in ‘06 with Lost Magic and Metroid Prime Hunters) had automatic signatures. Even the expanding signatures, the ability to add pics to them and so on.
@@richard7199 When I said older I meant before the 00s, haha! I'm firmly in the automatic siggies generation, myself. I remember in the various forums I used to frequent everyone had meters-long signatures with all kinds of banners and even links to their click-based games (like Bitefight and Dragon Cave) and we'd clock the older people when they would manually write a simple sentence at the end of their posts instead.
I remember being SO excited to get New Leaf for my birthday the year it came out and I played my town for hours and hours- years and then one day I decided to delete it and I regret not having my original town anymore 💔
i regret not having mine either, but i started playing again and the feeling has dissipated. and i have a few screenshots of my old town so i don’t feel as bad 😢
one of my favorite things in new Leaf was some of the small details: as you play the game and the more time passes: your town tree grows bigger and bigger. I don't know what it is but there was something kind of heartwarming about watching that tiny sapling you plant at the start of the game grow into an absolute behemoth. and it even gets its own ambiance of the wind blowing through its leaves when you sit on its plot, the music of the credits falling away and its nothing but you under the shade of your tree hearing the wind rustling its leaves that, and the fact that one of the house styles you can buy is a castle and give it an exterior so it looks like its made of wood I did that. I made my house a cabin Castle by the lake and bred a bunch of blue pansies to surround it.
I feel like one of the biggest misses in new horizons is the amount of "progression" they removed. I know a lot of people think its too sandboxy and lacks soul, but i think that comes from how quickly you rush through to the credits. In New Leaf I always loved watching the stores and buildings upgrade, new places being added, etc... Really wish they would've kept that theme going. For future titles I think it would be great if they did what the DLC did by adding in new facilities like schools, restaurants, hospitals, etc, as things you could add to your town! I'd love to see a new city installation of the series with even more villagers than ever and more city planning. Maybe even choose if you want to live in a bustling city, as small home town, or a deserted island. Those are my personal wishes for the franchise anyways.
Great work on this video! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your thoughts on New Leaf and your research into the various aspects of the entire series. Seeing your improved editing in this video, particularly with audio balancing and mixing, was great as well. Playing New Leaf on release was a magical time, and it was awesome to see that experience explained in a video. - dmaster out.
Thank you Hunter! I loved researching this video, it was amazing to read so many opinions and developer interviews about the series 10 years ago. Thank you for your support as well! - dmaster out
The game is perfect, the vid made me visit my town. All my ppl moved out but my favorite one Ernst stayed. Now I am back playing it, its a timeless classic
That ending segment hit me way too deep in the feels. Thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane, this game really did leave an incredible mark on so many lives 🤍
This game got me through some of the loneliest days. The music, the progression, the hidden secrets, everything is perfect. I just recently got the leaf tattooed on my ankle as a reminder of everything this game helped me overcome. Great video!
Dude, you beautifully and poetically described the exact same feeling I had playing Animal Crossing growing up. I was actually considering making a video about my experience with playing the Animal Crossing games and I found your videos right after, feels like it was meant to happen, lol. Love the video and love your voice, it’s so calming ☺️
I was 19 when this game came out. I had moved to a new town. I lived in a basement suite with a man I barely knew, out of desperation after getting reno-victed from my first rental place. I had been abused at my work and quit of of anger. Jobless. With barely enough cash for the next month’s rent, let alone groceries, and all of my worldly possessions being able to fit into a backpack…I came home and the man I lived with had bought a black 3ds XL and new leaf, and told me he hoped it would bring me some happiness. That game stuck with me for years. And years. And years. And funnily enough, after getting me through the worst days of my adult life, it’s something Im incredibly nostalgic for. (The man is now my spouse and we are expecting our first kiddo in June!)
I don't know if New Leaf or New Horizons is my favorite game in the series but I love both to no end. New Leaf is what introduced me to the franchise and New Horizons changed my life in many ways. I am so thankful for Animal Crossing and I know they are going to hit it out of the park with the next one like they've done time and time again
26:15 THIS. RIGHT. HERE. This is what made Animal Crossing special. This is what set New Leaf apart from anything else I played as a kid. This is why I spent hours, days, YEARS in that damn town, exploring all its nooks and crannies, watching it grow with new shops and more fossils and creatures in the museum, watching villagers come and go, watching flowers grow and wither, finding new flowers, fruits, and items in other people's towns, chatting with other players who came and went on the island during online multiplayer, witnessing the leaves, weather, and animals change with the seasons, all as I changed as a person. I've never had a game that felt so much like home to me before or since. I was not given instant gratification with Animal Crossing. Sometimes it was days or even weeks before a big new development in town either with a new shop or a new public works project or even scrouging up the money over the course of days to pay for those projects or expanding my house. Yet that always encouraged me to explore all the little things the game had to offer. Maybe I'd make a new town tune. Maybe I'd play hide and seek with one of the villagers. Maybe I'd plant a pitfall and make one of them really pissed off. Maybe I'd plant something actually useful like a fruit tree or a row flowers to make them spawn a new color. Maybe I'd go to the island and get some bananas. Maybe I'd just go to the island to try and fish for that scary-ass shark. Maybe I'd go back home and put it in my house for all the world to see. Oh shit, the day's over and all the shops are closed, well maybe I'll go down to the night club and watch K.K. Slider play some nice little tunes. Maybe... I'll just sit on that one bench off to the far side of the shopping district and just listen to the game's generally lovely and calming music... Wait, it's like 2AM, I should really go to bed. There's ofc no end goal in Animal Crossing. There are some things you can pursue as end goals like expanding your house to the maximum (which I never ended up doing even after a decade), fully filling out the museum (also never did), or unlocking all the shops and public work projects in the game (also never did that, because kid me never got the bright idea to just look up a guide to how to get certain things I saw in other towns but not my own). Though, Animal Crossing just packed with so many little things happening whether you were playing the game or not, that I was always left coming back for more. There's new furniture to check out at Nook's Emporium, my plants are gonna die if I don't water them and I really want that new color of tulips I saw in another town, I want to break a rock to see if there's any crystal in it today that I can use to refurbish my furniture to look all shiiiiny, I wonder if there are any new fossils underground, I wonder if there are any goofy-ass Gyroids underground, oh hey there's a bug-catching contest this weekend, oh I better jot down what the customers at the cafe prefer in their coffee, oh hey I haven't caught that type of bug before (and if I have, I'll just sell it to get more money to pay off that loan Nook gave me). One aspect of New Leaf you didn't mention, but really sums up just how much random shit you could do in the game if you wanted to, was the badges that Phineas comes by to give you for completing certain tasks a specific number of times in the game. These tasks could include sending letters to villagers, getting medals on the island, completing villager favors, going to K.K. Sliders performances, diving for sea creatures, visiting towns in the dream suite, visiting different towns, having other players visit your town. These weren't required, and unless you looked up what the badges are online (or just saw another player's badge page), you'd probably come across Phineas completely incidentally. I'm not exactly rushing to get them, since certain badges like completing the bug encyclopedia could take months to get at the very least (unless you time travel) due to the most bugs appearing only in certain seasons or specific times of year. It just was nice to have a mark of how many different things I'd done in my little town. Looking at other players' badge lists gave me some small insight into what type of Animal Crossing player they are and what facets of the game they engaged with the most. It's just another one of many small details that Animal Crossing New Leaf greater than the sum of its parts and gave it so much longevity for me as a kid.
AHHHHH Great video!!! Love how you tied it into your personal story at the beginning and end, the storytelling and music gave me chills! I've never played animal crossing myself but I feel like you hit on something with the quote "I was waiting to play a game about waiting". So many games and media these days like tiktok are like go go go trying to grab your attention span, and I found your analysis on the longevity really insightful. Anyway great job on this one!! - Foamy
I’m a very new subscriber of yours but after watching a few videos I cannot understand how you don’t have more followers. Your takes on these games is so nuanced and thoughtful and is such a refreshing difference from so many other game UA-camrs out there. Kudos, man. You have quickly become one of my favourite channels ❤
The island mini games were actually the features I missed the most when moving over to New Horizons. I would regularly play multiplayer with my little brother and we’d always go to the island to play the games together, and it was probably the most engaging and replayable multiplayer that Animal Crossing has ever had. Yeah New Horizons made many improvements to multiplayer like allowing more players, but at the end of the day, after you’ve shown off your islands to each other, you’d have to make your own fun with little made-up games. This would only be fun for so long, and it was considerably less entertaining than the Island mini games. Even if some were bull crap, they were like Mario Party levels of bull crap. Yeah you’re angry, but when you’re playing with friends, angry turns into sodding hilarious!! I hope im not the only one who felt this way!
Yeah absolutely! There's tons more multiplayer things to do in New Leaf, which is ironic since it's easier to play multiplayer in New Horizons than any of the past games lol
Hey Dino - this video tipped me over the edge, and I joined for a month on your supporter level. Please keep up the videos, they're super creative and you have an excellent talent for story telling.
thank you so much Aria! your support means so much, thank you for the compliments. I've been working on different video ideas for the last few months, and I haven't been happy with the scripts or ideas. I promise that another video will come out, I just need to find that spot where I like everything about it. Hope to find it soon. Thank you again for your support, you're amazing!
I got new horizons in 2022 and knew it would feel more hollow but i also was hoping i could make something out of it (coming from someone who plays the sims 4 which is. just as soulless lol) but even past paying off my full debt, it feels like there isnt much to do. versus new leaf where- i paid off my debt and spent so much time planning out my house and the theming, i even tried getting high points thru the hha thing. I spent forever playing the minigames, hanging out on the island, talking to villagers and all that. I think i spent more time playing happy home paradise on new horizons than speaking to my villagers lol All in all, its pretty but it just doesnt feel as endless as new leaf did. I really wanted to love new horizons too : ( i just hope that the next mainline ac game will feel more...fulfilling, but i have a bad feeling it won't. ANYWAY- Great video, it made me want to open up new leaf again and see everyone again.
Okay, I’ve finally watched it! Even though I was meant to earlier. I remember when I saw the post on your community tab, announcing that you were working on a new leaf video. I was so excited. And like the game, I was waiting for it. And my oh my did it deliver! I loved the bit when you said you were originally focused on making this your best video yet, but instead just decided to not focus on that, and just speak from the heart. The things we love, we can never fully express why we feel that way. It’s something that words could never do justice. And that ending, that got me emotional man I first got this game for my 10th birthday back in September 2013. And since then, that game will always be one of the closest things to my heart and one of the best times I had as a kid playing that game. I adored this game. I didn’t have many friends, but even back then, I felt like none of the kids around me really understood me. I didn’t really feel comfortable in this world where it was almost seen as wrong to be myself. But when I came back home from school every day. I’d open my 3ds and go to my town, and just get lost in the world. In that place, I had a purpose. I was valued. Even if the villagers weren’t always the nicest, building relationships with them and feeling like I was making an effort to improve people’s lives, in a way, made me almost feel seen. I know, video game characters. Obviously they’re not real. But due to how nice characters like Isabelle were, I felt warmth and comfort radiate from this game. Even now my words aren’t doing it justice for how perfect that game was for me at that time in my life. I could’ve felt completely alone, and then I’d boot up new leaf, and suddenly, it felt like while my problems didn’t necessarily go, it felt like, in a way, they could almost be acknowledged. I got a cuddly monkey as well on my birthday and the next day, we went on a residential trip for a few nights with my primary school. We had to share bunks with somebody and I had no clue who would pick me out of all the boys in the dorm. But there was a new kid who was also in the dorms. I asked him if we could bunk up. I think I asked him anyway. But either way, we became friends on that school trip. Now this monkey, I couldn’t think of a name for it, so I asked him if he could think of anything. I also mentioned that I had animal crossing new leaf. I said that the monkey at the train station was called Porter. So from then on, I named him Porter. And to this day, he’s still supported me. We don’t talk as much now but we still care about each other a lot. A few months ago he sent me a lovely birthday message also asking how I was doing. To me, he was the first real friend I think I made. There were people that I’m still in touch with now from primary school, who I am friends with now and was a little bit later on, but I could never trust anyone up to that point. He was the first person my age that I felt like actually gave me the time of day. And when I see that monkey toy, I always think of that moment. This game is so special to me and I haven’t even talked about the gameplay and everything else. It’s just magic. My attachment to this game might be more than any other game I played. This is my 4th favourite game, as there are 3 games that I think I like just a bit more. But it’s pretty close. My adoration for this game goes beyond just statements. And I’ve also been rambling for a while. There’s this sense of purity and genuine love and care in every video you put in, Dino. So if you’ve read all of this, (and if not, I don’t blame you, I don’t stop talking) thank you so much! I still struggle w motivating myself to do anything on UA-cam. However, seeing videos like this, it encourages me and also just boosts my spirits. Seeing all this effort, and genuine love and care put in is just a beautiful thing to see. I hope you had a good new years and Christmas and that everything is well with you. So from the bottom my heart, a huge internet embrace is coming ur way right now. Thank you for this video. Ur hard work, believe me, it pays off and it’s cherished. I want u to know that. Okay I think I’ve said most of what I need to say. I’m gonna go to bed now. Keep shining brother. You are loved. Best dinosaur on UA-cam - Matt 💙
i played this game for a year and a half straight. i love this game to death. eventually i want to make a game that is new leaf inspired. i love this game i love this game
This is exactly how I feel about wild world, I loved new leaf too but wild world still has my heart. I come back to it every year for a few days, sometimes weeks and it has been over 10 year now, I am so grateful for these games
bro why the last line of this video making me tear up???? I have so many fond memories of playing WW as an 8 yo kid, after school or on long car rides or at my grandparent’s cabin. NL came out when I was in high school, and I didn’t have a 3DS. I didn’t get to play NL until I was 21 and in college, but it’s one of the few things that still makes me feel the exact same way it did when I was a kid. I liked NH but it just didn’t hit the same way as NL. Great vid! Subbed.
Bro im literally crying, you couldn't have made this video at a better time, after hyperfixating on AC & playing new horizons and new leaf simultaneously you helped remind me everything i felt playing acnl for the first time and it being my firs ac game, i tried playing the older games but really acnl did it so well i just kept wishing i were playing it instead, genuinely thanks for this video
Animal Crossing was a franchise I have very fond memories of and I wish I could feel those emotions again. A big thing was it gave me and my youngest sister something to finally bond over which was incredibly rare. Now that we're both in our 20s, we're back to that state of having no real shared interests which is something I miss. But at least there's still that moment when we both indulged in the cute and silly game about rabbits and dogs being our neighbors and either wanting them to be our best friends or move tf out.
This video has convinced me to buy a 3DS, not out of nostalgia because I never had any, having never experienced any Nintendo games in my childhood, but because if someone can captivate me with a 40 minute documentary on a silly game about animals that I've barely heard of, it must be worth playing, cherishing and preserving.
Yess!! I love the little Cafe job they'd give you when you unlock it. I didn't get footage for the cafe and forgot about writing about it. But yes, one of my favourite cozy moments of AC!
I think the medals are more of an indicator of how much you've done, rather than rewards for playing. I mean you can't really do anything with the medals when you get them, except how other players how much of the game you've played lol
Ohhh well yeah they do the same thing! Just kind of let others and yourself know how much you've done! Aside from bragging rights they don't really give you anything lol
also i bought another copy recently and the old owner forgot to delete their town so i backed it up to my secondary 3ds, hopefully me and chrissy are able to meet again.
I spent soooo much time on that stupid island farming sharks. I miss New Leaf. The villager personality was dampened even then compared to WW, but still so much better compared to NH imo. I found NH very disappointing and I kinda want to go back to NL, but I think I've pretty much completed it and it's been years...
I love your take on this Dino, I don't know much about New Leave, my life in AC was Wild World but I see the same love I have for that game in how you talk about this one. (Let's hope the next one is better)
the skin colour issue is shocking from a western point on view, but the primary audience for animal crossing was overwhelmingly asian for the majority of its existence. Japan has classically made most of its media for domestic audiences, and typically that meant 99% of the people who would buy/view your media would be white skinned japanes people. Dark skin was not a concern for them until very recently.
Yeah I totally get that! I just think it's weird that in New Leaf they give you a dark skin colour but only if you stand outside on sunny days. Very weird feature. Anyways, thanks for the comment!
Hey, i just found out about your channel with this video, i enjoyed it so much and i really loved how you finnished it. It was always hard for me to get into the animal crossing games, i alway reach a moment in the game where am tired of it, after around 30hrs. 30hrs is a lot but i always wanted to go further in the game, thats why i started a new island 2yrs ago, hoping i was going to get more into it, bu again i stopped after around 30hrs. But this video makes me want to try again, maybe in a new manner or maybe with another animal crossing game, But i really wanna try to get more into it and this video is giving me like motivation to try again x) Thanks a lot this video is excellent ❤
When new leaf came out I was living on my own for the first time in my life. In a different country where I know nobody, well working 7 days a week. It really was a little vacation away from real life where I could relax for a few hours at the end of the day. No stress, no objective, no pressure it was perfect. I think I played it daily for 9 oar 10 month's and after that of and on for a long time. 10/10 love me my pocket vacations.
Hahaha I can recognize a face that's belonging to Takaya Imamura at 8:00 ! He was the first F-Zero character designer, today he is very active on Twitter and he's doing his own manga. I can understand where you were mislead to using this picture though, he's more handsome 😉
Oh wow that's cool!! Turns out looking up nintendo employees who have done interviews shows pictures of other developers as well lol. Thank you for correcting that!
Phenomenal video and outro especially. Was looking for inspiration for a video idea of my own and I’m glad I watched this. I really like your style of vids by the way, we should connect :))
Growing up, I had found out about Animal Crossing online back in the earlier days of the Internet. I remember always wanting to play one of the games, but my parents never let me for some reason. But on a summer day in 2017, just as the sun was setting, I finally got my hands on New Leaf. I played it constantly, even though I had no idea what I was doing. I loved every part of it. I remember being so upset because I wanted my favorite villager Ankha (I was a kid, shut up) but didn't know that amiibo cards existed lol. Unfortunately, I ended up falling off the game around 2019 because of school, and I never really came back after that. I keep trying to, but I just moved on to New Horizons.
Ok this video is giving me way too much nostalgia and now I want to play New Leaf. Great video but now I got to go charge up my dead 3ds and check in on my town which I haven’t been to in over a year (if Franchine moved I’m going to cry)
Another great video! I really enjoy the editing and your view on things. There is always something else to learn from this game. I to, find myself enjoy the game more when I can take it slow and just a bit at a time. Just need better villager interactions imo.
Please make a video about animal crossing city folk. It would be interesting because that one didn’t sell that well and your animal crossing videos are golden!
I want the next animal crossing to focus less on decorating and bring back interacting with your villagers and the npc’s. I want to be able to be a cashier in nook’s, and restoration worker at the museum, a personal stylist at able’s, and of course a barista at the cafe. I want my performance on how much effort I put into my town to reflect in the villager’s mood. Let there be risk. I want my villagers to be free to hate me despite my efforts. I was to feel like my presence matters without it feeling like I’m a God, and instead an actual person. I love animal crossing so much and would spend massive amounts of money on a good game and I know Im not the only one. It pains me to see how Nintendo treats their audience and just refuse to listen to us and give is what we want…
New Horizons is basically unplayable for me just because they removed the late night ordinance. There's maybe one or two nights I can actually play it for a bit before all the shops close. Not that I've actually picked it up in years by now...
it is a shame this video about praise didn’t do as well as the one where you’re critiquing. hope this doesn’t dissuade you from doing more videos like this
Nah this is still my favourite video I've ever done! Was tons of fun to write, record, research etc! As much as I love doing video essay type videos, I'm not as connected or passionate about many other games series, aside from Animal Crossing and Mario. I'll keep making videos on the things I like and I hope people enjoy them, whether it's one person or one million! :D
Thank you for watching! The credits and all my links are in the description!

If so, that _sucks._
On a side note, I took a look at the house customization in _New Leaf_ aside from architectural styles, and the sheer number of ways you can modify your house and truly make it yours (including the HHA awards) is astounding for a 3DS game. I never knew you could customize your house this much when I played it the year it came out.
I really want a New Leaf HD. Just a straight port of New Leaf: Welcome Amiibo but in higher resolution and framerate.
the nostalgia 🥲 new leaf hands down was the most memorable AC game and I have yet to experience those magical feelings again from a life sim game
24:58 hearing this is pretty surprising to me, i remember it took me years of active playing to run out of new dialogue in new leaf, and i talked to villagers all the time. it always felt like there was an extreme amount of villager dialogue in new leaf, especially when you have a bunch of different villager types in your town

I think the 'dmaster out' thing is an old feature of online forums. I remember on some sites you could add a signature message that was displayed on all your posts. So, maybe that was what was going on there.
Yeah that's interesting! Wasn't around in that period of the internet myself so I wouldn't know.

SAMEEE I deleted the game just because I didn’t like the town name i did 😭 years of memories down the drain just bc of that
i regret not having mine either, but i started playing again and the feeling has dissipated. and i have a few screenshots of my old town so i don’t feel as bad 😢
Dmaster is cool.
-Dreaming Void out.
one of my favorite things in new Leaf was some of the small details: as you play the game and the more time passes: your town tree grows bigger and bigger.
I don't know what it is but there was something kind of heartwarming about watching that tiny sapling you plant at the start of the game grow into an absolute behemoth. and it even gets its own ambiance of the wind blowing through its leaves when you sit on its plot, the music of the credits falling away and its nothing but you under the shade of your tree hearing the wind rustling its leaves
that, and the fact that one of the house styles you can buy is a castle and give it an exterior so it looks like its made of wood
I did that. I made my house a cabin Castle by the lake and bred a bunch of blue pansies to surround it.
*adjusts glasses* ACTUALLY skin tone became a thing during Happy Home Designer, a spin-off title of New Leaf 🤓
Great video, dmaster out
I feel like one of the biggest misses in new horizons is the amount of "progression" they removed.

Thank you Hunter! I loved researching this video, it was amazing to read so many opinions and developer interviews about the series 10 years ago.

That’s very beautiful, wow 😊
So glad you found your happy ending! Congrats on the baby! 💗
I like each game for different reasons, but personally I think new leaf is better overall

26:15 THIS. RIGHT.
- Foamy
Ah thank you Foamy! So glad you enjoyed
That's very kind of you to say thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy my videos, comments like these make me want to keep doing them :)
@@TheIrishDino I'm glad it's not just me! Kudos on the amazing video btw! You've convinced me to pick up the game again for old times sake :D

I think i spent more time playing happy home paradise on new horizons than speaking to my villagers lol
All in all, its pretty but it just doesnt feel as endless as new leaf did. I really wanted to love new horizons too : ( i just hope that the next mainline ac game will feel more...fulfilling, but i have a bad feeling it won't.
ANYWAY- Great video, it made me want to open up new leaf again and see everyone again.
Yep I feel the same way mostly. Especially with playing the DLC more than interacting with villagers.
Thank you for the kind words too
Okay, I’ve finally watched it! And that ending, that got me emotional man
I first got this game for my 10th birthday back in September 2013.
Best dinosaur on UA-cam

You also forgot to mention that with the Cafe, you can help out Brewster! That‘s also a new feature
Yess!! I love the little Cafe job they'd give you when you unlock it. I didn't get footage for the cafe and forgot about writing about it. But yes, one of my favourite cozy moments of AC!
This video is beautifully made its making me want to go back to New Leaf, and that ending about you waiting was just so amazingly editing omg

Really lovely video about an amazing game.

But this video makes me want to try again, maybe in a new manner or maybe with another animal crossing game, But i really wanna try to get more into it and this video is giving me like motivation to try again x)
Thanks a lot this video is excellent ❤

When new leaf came out I was living on my own for the first time in my life. In a different country where I know nobody, well working 7 days a week. It really was a little vacation away from real life where I could relax for a few hours at the end of the day. No stress, no objective, no pressure it was perfect. I think I played it daily for 9 oar 10 month's and after that of and on for a long time. 10/10 love me my pocket vacations.

Lovely video, the most memorable series ❤
