Let's put it in the context; 1. You take some time, maybe an hour or so and do the Proper istagfar. 2. While walking or in times when you are not supposed to move lips in front of people do the silent istagfar. 3. While you are working and you don't want ever to be a ghafil and stop remembering Allah, do the 3rd time of istagfar while working. Now it is not just mindless istagfar. So you should also put it in the proper context, so, all these are good in when put in context. When you love Allah, and want to remember him 24/7 even in your sleep your tongue moves, or you are thinking about Allah all the time.
Exactly and it doesn't matter if you're busy doing something else, the fact alone that you're in constant remembrance of Allah can never be bad. No matter how you do it, it's that you're always remembering Allah and nobody can say whether it's sincere or not or accepted or not except Allah. The one who constantly remembers Allah is better
100% 👆 when a person knows it’s meaning deeply and has a connection with Allah yet he’s driving (for example) he’s paying atttention to road, observing traffic etc etc yet still saying istighfaar, this isn’t “mindless” as he knows full well prior to commencing his dhikr what he is saying, perhaps the 765th out of 1000 utterance isn’t deeep deep from the heart, but it still counts no doubt. When a person makes dhikr 33 33 34 times after salah, is EVEEY single SubhanAllah Alhamdullilah allahu akbar sincerely deeply from the heart? Nope. Does it count? Yes. The angels are recording and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى is as Samee’ so don’t lose hope, keep the tongue moist with Allahs remembrance.
@@nabeelarazwan I personally recite Subhanallah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times, Astaghfirullah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 34 times after every salah.
If one is not able to focus and has not good heart, it is still better to do the mindless uttering so that he may reach the level of contemplation soon and levels up again towards Allah.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection]’.” Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.

There are a few sunnah I take when it comes to making my own istighfar: Rasulullah saw says he repents 100 times a day & that he says even his hearts gets cloudy from being distracted with wordly obligations that he makes istighfar to remove the cloudiness, even in gatherings he would constantly make repentance to Allah. On top of the fact that coming out of the toilet also includes istighfar; I assume that everytime Allah returns to your thoughts after focusing on something else, no matter how small or short, make one istighfar first sincerely to Allah then make other dhikr until the next time you get distracted, and repeat again when the moment you remember Allah again. It makes sense this way how Rasulullah saw makes repentance 100 times a day, it may not have been in one single sitting but once at a time throughout the day.
I think the message is clear. There's levels of istighfar. The most ideal way is if you said 100 times (like in morning dhikr) while saying it in the most serious way. If you can't, well, just say it anyway. Even if it "mindless", you're still doing it consciously. It still better than humming and it prevents your mind to wander around. Just do it anyway even if it's imperfect. Keep doing so it can become a habit. You won't be able to reach sincere level if you never have the habit, after all. Hopefully Allah will still reward us all, no matter how imperfect it is.

I personally, recite full dua and imagine my sin and anger as well as love of Allah. I think of his kindness and how I acted against his order or will. One time is enough to make me feel recovered from that feeling of guilt.

Yes brother thank you so much I understand very well, i did sincere astghfar and didnt just repeat mindless words and alhamdulillahh allah subhana wa taala provided for me♥️♥️🫡🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 alhamdulillahh
Assalamu Alaikum, I realised whenever i seek forgiveness in my mother tongue it usually comes from my heart, helps me contemplate on it rather than uttering arabic isteghfar. I hope Allah swt accepts it.
Try ur best to say astaghfirullah while thinking in ur mother tongue. Just an advice sister . In the beginningit may be hard but in sha Allahu will get used to it. And Allah knows best
Assalamualeikum, our mind is never silent, and our purpose is to push all thoughts out and to insert the Names of Allah. Our purpose is to say when we are dying, about to die - "la ilaha ilaAllah" or names of Allah, Allah, Sabhanaka and others. But if we didnt get used to say with our tongue Allah, Allah, Allah in any kind of thikr....then we have almost no chances to say out loud or to remember Allah in the moment of death because the mind will be so much confused and it will be so hard to control the tongue and mind, all the body.....That is why all thikrs is a repeating process. To train the tongue - to say Allah or La ilahaillaAllah and to train mind to remember Allah. For sure better to do thikr, and istighfar in full concentration, but if we can not, then better to say automatically than not to say at all. Because one day the quantity may become a quality, inshaAllah. And Allah knows better. May Allay forgive us. Assalamualaikum wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatu.
i would recommend doing a thousand istighgar every day and once the dua you mention in the morning and evening 😊 you will feel the difference. even if it is difficult to contemplate for every single of the 1000 at the beginning, you are strenghtening your mind and after some time it will be possible. 😊

I am surprised to see some people are commenting like scholars. Islam is the religion of Allah, one must do his or her best to get close to Allah. So, contemplating is a must as Allah said this surah al muminun: ...success are for those...who contemplate in salah. Allah knows best.

It is well established in the Sahih Ahadith that our beloved prophet narrated over 70 istigfar in a day. Making istigfar multiple times like dhikr is nurturing the heart and increasing the sincerity of the pronouncement every time it it uttered. So long as you do it with intention to create that enhanced feeling of sincerity with each renewed moment of contemplation. It's like running 100m. You try and try and try until you get better. You begin to form habits.

I don’t agree with this one I someone who used to do 5 thousand istighfar a day. Repeating it many times will soften your heart more and increase you in sincerity. It’s like the more you repeat it the more you soft your heart gets. I used cry with khushuc randomly because of how soft my heart got.
Some people lose their sincerity after each time they repeat it till they get bored and lose khushu in asking allah for forgiveness, which is why some just stick to sayid istighfar as a dua to ask for forgiveness as some people are still weak in the heart to be able to ask for forgiveness hundreds of times. so its not a good thing to immediately begin asking for forgiveness hundreds of times assuming you'll get bored and not contemplating your words.
@@CheannMysni there’s phases to it. You might get bored after a week or so when just repeating astaghfurallah but when you do it long enough more than 5+ months it’s just sometimes you have that present moment while you realize the joy of seeking forgiveness. Have you heard of the 2 guys who said while they were bread with sea water “ if the kings and his army found out the blessings we have they have have come fighting us to take from us” you get that point and you just start wheeping. I’ll say don’t stop saying just try to be mindful as much as you can.
When you perform your 5 daily prayers, the prophet saw used to say three time : astagh firoullaaah. So we see that you can say it many times. istirfar is like remembering ALLAH through SOUBHAANALLAAH or Alhamdoulillah or Laa ilaaha illa ALLAAH.
The author means we should do istighfar heartfully, not just blank words, it would be best of one can do it in thousands Ike you said with sincere meaning
I do think a lot of Muslims including Islamic scholars make Islam more complicated than it is. The idea that someone reciting Astaghfirullah a 100 times a day is necessarily doing it mindlessly is quite presumptuous and we're not supposed to have these presumptions about others. Additionally, even if someone mindlessly says it, just as if someone mindlessly removes a hurdle from another's path, it does produce something good. We always think that everyone whose way is different than us has to be doing things improperly. When we say the name of Allah, it is unimaginably blessed and with its countless blessings it allows the speaker to become more in tuned with it so that their heart will be more and more receptive to mindfully doing Astaghfar as well. If you mindlessly remove a hurdle from a path without realising, it doesn't mean it's not an act of goodness that you won't be rewarded for. Instead of encouraging people, we tend to nitpick and reduce everything good they do to being essentially empty which is wrong. We don't know whose Astaghfar Allah accepts and how even in a person's mindless Astaghfar, there might be a moment of pure reflection and connection with Allah that pleases Him.
They are making Islam more and more complicated especially for new converts.I have always thought that Islam is simple and not that technical and complicated.
Laymen who don't know Quranic arabic are accusing scholars of complicating the religion. What a farce. If you find this complicated, then it is who lacks the capacity to think beyond an elementary level. Don't accuse scholars of what they don't do. Fear Allah.
I don't think you got the point of the video, and to pass comments on people who dedicate their entire lives to providing people with knowledge about the deen because no one else can do so is a very disappointing thing to do being a part of the ummah, it is not they who complicate it, it is us with lack of knowledge and understanding that think the deen is too difficult to understand. The whole video is just trying to emphasize having more khushu/humility when seeking forgiveness, doing istighfar mindlessly is rewardable no doubt but think about it, to always do it mindlessly is that how we approach Allah swt the Lord of worlds? If we were to spend our entire lives worshipping Allah swt it would still not be enough to thank Allah for all the favors he bestowed upon us then imagine doing mindless istighfar without ever contemplating.. I ask Allah to forgive us all for all the wrong we do and I ask Allah to guide us to being amongst the most righteous of his slaves, allahumma barik jazakallah khair!

I feel like this video was made for me.... Whenever I do a sin.... After that I feel remorse and regret and I end up doing 1000+ istigfar and subhanallahi wabhiamdi 100 times..... But eventually end up doing the same sin again..... And they cycle continues.... But now I realise real quality istighfar is from the heart and to strive not to do that sin again......
Sending 1 salawat on the Prophet (saw) addresses many problems at once: 10 sins forgiven, 10 hasanat earned -- and problems that plague you are solved without having to say anything else. Allahu Akbar!
*Sunan Ibn Majah 3819* *It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas that :* *the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever persists in asking for forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief fro every worry, and a way out from every hardship, and will grant him provision from (sources) he could never imagine."*
This is one of the - for me - most fascinating aspects of this religion: The focus on and support of consciousness and sincerity. If you are sincere, you strive to be righteous and do the right thing for its own sake. If you are a sincere Muslim, "its own sake" is God. Such sincerity does not require words, unless speaking them is the right thing to do. If you are conscious, chances improve for you to see your defects and refrain from making mistakes. You cannot be sincere if you are not trying, for which you need to develop the discipline to observe yourself. I don't need an apology from somebody whom I know to be a good person. I don't mind it, but it's no more than an exercise of good manners and politeness. A person who is courageous enough not to apologize because they assume I know they did not want to harm me, that's an impressive degree of sincerity that I have to admire.
(33) It is better to seek forgiveness by making Allah's beloved as a resource..... اللهم صل على محمد و عترته بعدد كل معلوم لك أستغفرالله العظيم الذي لاإله إلا الله يا حي يا قيوم برحمتك أستغيث و اتوب اليه

Let's put it in the context;
I agree with you 💯
or u can just do istaghfar 20 times after every prayer.
so if u pray 5 times a day, boom. 20x5 = 100 istaghfars every day
100% 👆 when a person knows it’s meaning deeply and has a connection with Allah yet he’s driving (for example) he’s paying atttention to road, observing traffic etc etc yet still saying istighfaar, this isn’t “mindless” as he knows full well prior to commencing his dhikr what he is saying, perhaps the 765th out of 1000 utterance isn’t deeep deep from the heart, but it still counts no doubt.
True. But also, proper and deep Istighfaar (Taubah) will proper intent and complete mindfulness is compulsory for the 'Kabair' (major sins).

There is a hadith that mentions it was in one sutting
There is a difference btw geniune istaghfar
And judt blaberring it
I think the message is clear.
Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O people, turn to Allah in repentance. Verily, I repent to Him one hundred times in a day.”
Best is to combine sincerity and volume inshaAllah..
Absolutely right brother, our opinion is useless when our prophet and salafs have done that in volume too.
Since the video mentioning remembrance your shortcomings/sin/fault, while you're performing Istighfar. then how come rasulullah said that (100,times daily) whilst he is sinless.....??
@@d_ady he is an example for all mankind, of course he is sinless, but we follow in his example. For instance, take a look at this Hadith,
Al-Mughirah ibn Shu’bah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would pray until his feet were swollen. It was said to him, “Why do you do this when Allah has forgiven your past and future sins?” The Prophet said, “Shall I not be a grateful servant?”

@@d_ady he is an example for all mankind, we follow in his example. It is not that he sinned over 100 times a day.
@@d_ady the Prophet was sinless but he was still a human being, so naturally he made mistakes. asking for forgiveness doesn't just rid you of sins, it can help you gain good deeds (it can also replace sins with good deeds). any and all dhikr of Allah SWT is beneficial
Alhamdulillah. The real Istigfar. Sincere repentance not just 100x daily.

Jazak Allah khayran for another excellent video. If we truly digested the words in this video our istighfar would have so much more meaning than mere repetition. Concentrate on the video to truly understand the message. Whilst our beloved prophet did istighfar as mentioned in the hadith 100 times we know this was mindful istighfar than mere repetition. Keep up that work my brother may Allah bless you and grant you Jannah.
I personally, recite full dua and imagine my sin and anger as well as love of Allah. I think of his kindness and how I acted against his order or will. One time is enough to make me feel recovered from that feeling of guilt.

@@PandasTrack why?? It’s like dua which should come from our heart no matter the language! Arabic is not superior in all matters
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
Saying it in Arabic is from the Sunnah of Rasoolullah ﷺ

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatu.
i would recommend doing a thousand istighgar every day and once the dua you mention in the morning and evening 😊
you will feel the difference.
even if it is difficult to contemplate for every single of the 1000 at the beginning, you are strenghtening your mind and after some time it will be possible. 😊
Alhamdulillah, video ini sangat mencerahkan. Terima kasih, Barakallah fiik.

*HOW TO GET ALL OUR DU'A /PRAYERS ANSWERED* 💎👇🏼
How to start Dua'a 📝
Best to raise your hands facing the sky and sit in the direction of the kaaba 🕋
1. Start with praising and glorifying Allah SWT
2. Send blessings on our beloved prophet Muhammed SAWS
3. Seek Allah's forgiveness sincerely
4. Say Dua'a of Prophet Yunus, لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين
‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors. (Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn)’ So indeed, no Muslim man supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.”
Then the gates of getting Dua'a answered are opened :)
5. Be confident that Allah will answer your Dua'a, don't doubt it and think positively about Allah SWT
Then you may ask Allah SWT for anything and everything you want and need :)
Repeat 🔂 each Dua'a thrice :)
Times when Dua'a has high hopes and guarantee of being accepted
1. Tahajud /Last third of every night at this time
Allah SWT descends to bestow His bounty upon His slaves, to meet their needs and to relieve their distress, when He says: “Who will call upon Me, that I may answer Him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 1145)
2. Between the adhan and the iqamah. It is narrated in a sahih report that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A du’a offered between the adhan and iqamah is not rejected.” (Narrated by Abu Dawud (521) and al-Tirmidhi (212). See also Sahih al-Jami’, 2408)
3. When it's raining
Our beloved prophet Muhammed Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said : “There are two which will not be rejected: du’a at the time of the call (to prayer) and when it is raining.” (Narrated by Abu Dawud and classed as sahih by al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, (3078).
4. Last hour of every Friday, one hour before magrib prayer
Our prophet Muhammed said “During it(Friday) there is a time when a Muslim slave does not stand and pray and ask Allah for something, but He will give it to him,” and he gestured with his hand to indicate how short that time is. (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 935; Muslim, 852. See also question no. 21748)
5. In Sujood (in prostration)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so say a great deal of du’a then.” (Narrated by Muslim, 482)
6. When we hear the crowing of roaster
Prophet Muhammed SAWS said “When you hear the crowing of a rooster, ask Allah of His bounty, for he has seen an angel.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2304; Muslim, 2729)

Allah SWT is GafoorurRaheem. Even a single astagfirullah can delete so many sins. Start with single astagfirullah, u will end up doing proper Istigfar one day. Allah knows our intentions so donot belittle even a tiny act of worship.
Very clear explanation about basic Islamic practices. How to perform each amal better.
Where pitfalls are. Finally to get maximum benefit from our efforts
Idea is it to stay in consistent state of acknowledgement and repentance of sins. It is not about saying it once and forgetting about it.

There are some conditions for repentance which we need to follow
1. Admit our mistake / sin to Allah SWT
2. Regret the sin we committed
3. Seek Allah's forgiveness and repent sincerely back to him (saying this Dua'a)
4. Make a promise to Allah that you'll do your best not to repeat this sin again
In case you fail as human
Good news once again 🌹
Sincerely follow the above steps and repent again

I am surprised to see some people are commenting like scholars. Islam is the religion of Allah, one must do his or her best to get close to Allah. So, contemplating is a must as Allah said this surah al muminun: ...success are for those...who contemplate in salah. Allah knows best.
You are making Islam complicated for many of my muslim convert friends.
I agree for Asking forgiveness with 1x istighfar from heart for 1 sin, but we have countless sins, even 1000x a day istighfar won't enough
Jazakallahu Khairan for the reminder.

Barakallah fii kum
بارك الله فيك
It is well established in the Sahih Ahadith that our beloved prophet narrated over 70 istigfar in a day.
Making istigfar multiple times like dhikr is nurturing the heart and increasing the sincerity of the pronouncement every time it it uttered. So long as you do it with intention to create that enhanced feeling of sincerity with each renewed moment of contemplation.
It's like running 100m.
You try and try and try until you get better. You begin to form habits.
This is why there is this principle that the dhikr must travel down to your heart and not just stay on your tongue.

It’s a second time I heard it from other imam ! We really should think about it!
Fear Allah.
Secondly, what's mentioned in this video is so simple and basic. It's not complicated at all.
Imagine if we make different phrases to do Salawat upon the Prophet, what would you Wahabis say?
Agree with you,sayyaduiftikhar is best
May Allah bless you

Thank you for such a informative video
I think that he is talking about asking forgivness one time and not going to a sin again. But most people are thinking that he is completely saying not make dhikr of astagfirullah so many times. He is not forbiding someone to make dhikr he was just saying how to make a proper repentence when sinned and Allah S. W. T knows the best.

With this, then the dua in prostrate and ruku' would also be better to be spoken just 1 time with the deepest heart..

*Sunan Ibn Majah 3819*
*It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas that :*
*the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever persists in asking for forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief fro every worry, and a way out from every hardship, and will grant him provision from (sources) he could never imagine."*
Imagine doing the highest degree of istighfar (utterance with contemplation & repentance) for 1000+ times everyday.
It is better to seek forgiveness by making Allah's beloved as a resource.....
اللهم صل على محمد و عترته بعدد كل معلوم لك
أستغفرالله العظيم الذي لاإله إلا الله يا حي يا قيوم برحمتك أستغيث و اتوب اليه
