I started Mounjaro on 7/7/24 and have lost 28 pounds so far. I lost more weight on 2.5 mg than with 5 mg. I’ve have so many non scale victories though. My SW was 463 and all my clothes were tight, was very difficult to move around, sugar was so hard to control, etc. I’m now taking less than half of the insulin I used to, I can feel the inches I’ve lost and see it in my face. Showering is easier, etc. this week I only lost 1 pound but hey, I’ll take it! My endocrinologist is very pleased with my progress as am I.
Congrats ! Thats great ! Of course it makes sense you lose more in the beginning. My body goes on a plateau for about 10-14days every 4-5 weeks …. Mentally not cool , but just keep focused on your goal. Listen to the dr - he puts everything very simple - keep on re-listening to all these videos, keeps you motivated with others success- you got this
Congratulations I have 2mths of 2.5 in my refrigerator I'm just so scared to try it from all the fears I heard of some side effects I suffer from reflux from baseline already and some constipation how was your first week any side effects any tips to help get started did you get fatigue or dizzy any tips would be welcome I want to try it so bad my a1c is 8.2 I'm 6ft 2 at 280pds heaviest I've ever been on 7 blood pressure meds my dr won't me at around 220pds .
@@marshalshields8154I feel u. I was the same way. I wasn’t rushing to fill my prescription and finally did in late Friday. My prescription will be filled on Monday according to my pharmacy. I will be traveling out of town this coming Friday and scarf to start plus what I have been reading about side effects. I have been doing low carb diet and have lost and gained and have been yo yo-ing for my entire life. I know I will change my life style - mindful eating, being active cuz I have not been- also my issues of eating when I’m not hungry. But with all this and again, scared of side effects, I will start on Monday. I will update here… I’m 5’1” at 202 pounds with high A1c and morbidly obese with taking meds for high BP and cholesterol. @@maryanngambino7608turn it around to a good thing: slow and steady weight loss is easier to keep off. Lots of studies show its a better way to ensure long term weight maintenance. you got this 👍🏽
Started my journey with .25 and very slowly increased to 1. I am down 60 pounds in 9 months, feeling great. Have no gallbladder and used to have constant diarrhea. With the glp1 I have no more diarrhea. I am almost at goal 10 more pounds.
Wow amazing....I just got my 1st ozempic pen this afternoon and will start on Friday evening 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉can't wait...have 14kg /30lbs to lose .. omg so happy just hoping n praying that it works for me much love n light from South Africa 🇿🇦 💓 💖 🙏 ❤️ 💕
I didn’t lose any weight on the first month and felt only mild symptoms the first 2 weeks. After a month, my doctor almost pulled it saying it hasn’t been effective for me. I asked and pled to try the next level dosage and he said fine. It’s been a month since and I’ve lost 20lbs and still counting. I have my appointment to see my doctor in a few days.
Hi, I have been on Mounjaro 5th week (2.4 mg 0.6 mg weekly), on low carb diet, walking on treadmill for 30 mins 6 times a week. But I haven’t lost anything. I am so frustrated. From UK
Imagine spending all that money, eating really well, exercising consistently and doing everything right, and the only reason you're not losing weight is because you can't sleep (through no fault of your own). Yep, that really really sucks.
Another tip for the plateau. Sometimes instead of decreasing your calories more, you can bulk for a few weeks. Meaning you will increase your calories by maybe 500 plus calories per day gain 3-4 lbs on purpose. Over about 4-6 weeks. This allows your body to relax and not feel its going into starvation mode and stop holding on to everything. Then you do a cut. Cut back down to the amt of cals you were eating when the plateau began and you should start losing again. And you can do this again with the next plateau. Because if you keep cutting you will eventually be below 1200-1000 calories and thats not good or sustainable. It works. This is what body builders do. And several other programs. Just putting the info out here for you. ❤
Starvation mode the way you described it is a myth. One time I didn't eat for 5 days and lost as much fat during that period as expected according my BMR. Well, starvation mode exists but it happens due to malnutrition. Most people forget that nutrition is not just calories.
Hey there! Welcome to the channel! I am so glad you like the vids but I am absolutely elated you find value! One of the smartest guys the world has ever known said: "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." -Albert Einstein
I started sema last week at 1 mg..a little nausea, constipation (take laxative)but aside from that i have lost about a pound a day. I eat when I'm hungry (seems to be about 800-1000 calories a day down from 2000-4000 a Day)i have been drinking a gallon of water everyday for the past 3 years (which helped maintain)... A little tired the first couple of days and short of breath one day 3. I have been hesitant to start GLP 1 medications because of some of the stories I've heard about being constantly sick and being more anxious and depressed (which is something I struggle with my whole life) honestly I have never felt more steady and normal(for lack of a better word). I had gastric sleeve 4 1/2 years ago with very little success. I prayed that "this time"this will be something that can actually help me and suppress my appetite! I have never had anything actually work and this is almost unbelievable. I thank God for it🙏🏽
🎤 I’m on my Zepbound journey and you were the first person I watched before I started and you were so encouraging and now I revisit you after 4 months and I lost about 40 pounds I am in tears as I text this because you really prepare me so that when the things happened like the changes and challenges I was ready and thank you for your transparency and as I continue on this journey thank you You touched me your word prayer so many like myself have searched and needed the right thing to happen for them to get the power back of preservation ❤
Just started taking Zepbound. Lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks. I also changed what I eat drastically because my recent bloodwork shows that I am prediabetic. Cleared my cabinets of anything with sugar in it and started eating more whole foods. 💪🏽
The plateau celebration is legendary!!!!!! I need to record that for myself to play at those times!!!!!! Love your videos! So glad you post often. I watched your grocery shopping trip multiple times!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
I’ve been staying at .25 of Segmalutide for 8 weeks by exercise and very small servings giving my stomach to tell my brain I’m full. I very seldom have any alcohol. I’m careful to stay away from sugars. More protein, fiber and veggie. I’m 73 so it’s a slow process but I feel good . Inflammation is so much better. Learning some healthy habits will help you stay a minimal doseages.
Been at a plateau. Your celebration made me feel better about it. I am seeing my collarbone now and stairs are easier now, so I know I’m getting healthier. I’ll get moving again soon, I hope.
Great video!!! I love that you are working with your patients to make life style changes to better their health in the long run as well as optimizing their dose because not everyone needs the highest dose! Way to go.
Hello thank you for the information. I just started mounjaro. I’m on my second week which is my second shot! I’ve lost 11 lbs already but I also eat very healthy and I exercise too. I was drinking alcohol and being on mounjaro won’t allow me to keep the alcohol in my system so that’s a good thing! I wanted to stop drinking anyways. I will continue to eat healthy, less snacking at night and keep incorporating exercise .
I'm at 15 MG Zepbound - I've reached a plateau. Lost 30 lbs. and now the appetite suppressant effect has worn off. I guess I'll up my protein intake and up my exercises.
I have IBS and I'm taking Wegovy, I can say that the medication has largely improved my IBS symptoms, maybe is because I'm not overeating or eating healthier food, but I can really see the change. So far I would like to be for life in this medication.
I have IBS too, and second week on mounjaro. For the first time I experienced constipation (I mean, going every other day, instead of multiple times a day) 😂😂 I was soo happy😂😂
Yes, I'm IBS-D and I am not having as many issues I'm not eating as much so not going to the bathroom as much and it backs me up more which for me is actually a good thing.
I’m on my second shot of .25mg of semaglutide. No side effects at all. I’ve lost 2lbs 😂 not really worried about the weight YET. I do feel fuller though! I eat very clean already so no issues there… can’t wait to see how this goes. I’m 174lbs - 5’7 looking to lose a good 20lbs!!! I’ve also already been working out for months. This is my plateau weight lol. I work out 5 days a week. Im stuck in the 170s. I hit 10 to 12,000 steps per day also.
Same here - only 4 days after first .25 inj of wegovy, but lost 1 plus pound - i think it has to build in your body over multiple injections. No side effects except chills first evening and nausea if i brush teeth to aggressively. Like u said though almost no interest in food between meals and cant eat full plate.
you are giving a free tutorial that I found out on my own through asking questions and experience by the way I looked great before My meds The chronic heart disease and Kidney disease and eye pressures were becoming hard to control, but with the Medicines everything looks great they're stable
Great information. I have been on 7.5mg tirzepatide for months and recently only lost 1 pound in a month doing all the right things, so taking on your advice to tirate up. Also enjoyed the plateau party 🥳 🥳 🎉 🎉🎉. I watched your other video on it, and it was quite enlightening. Helped me a lot to understand how the body behaves
Hey! I’m glad you found value in the video! All plateaus matter!!! Have you had a chance to watch my video on plateaus? I recommend it for you especially! Losing a lb in a month suggests either a plateau or you are doing something wrong with respect to the way your body behaves with energy management. You may need to sit with your doctor for a consult to find out which. I’m sure you know simply increasing the dose doesn’t increase calorie burn so if your hunger is ALREADY suppressed going up a dose won’t make the difference you are looking for.
Lost on monjourno 39 lb In 20 weeks pretty happy with that trying to do the 7 min chair exercise 2 times a day I have no appetite whatsoever and get full super quick, too the point I struggle to eat or remember to eat.
@@GoodDrG Do you think it’s too much to be making sure to hit 10k steps at least 5 days a week and weight training 2-3x a week? I’ve had a lot of muscle fatigue since starting sema it’s so hard to lift like I was prior to injections. I was thinking of adding creatine to see if that will help
Mounjaro here, for heart EF help but need 20lbs off. Started lowest dose. Now at 5mg. Nothing. Not a lb. Ugh. Is there a big difference between compounded vs the Name Brand Pen Injection?
@@TriciaSmith-jd3nc That would definitely depend on the compound pharmacy that produced it. That’s the problem of getting your meds from online or some other source you do not know well.
I’m about to take my 8th dose of Tirzepitide (7.5mg) and only lost 3lbs. This has never happened to me before, especially since I have no appetite and am eating way less than what I used to eat. I’m getting very discouraged. I am eating a lot of protein.

I recommend adding a protein shake to boost your daily protein intake and fiber supplements to combat constipation. Glp1 side effect is also insomnia 😳 i take melatonin or cbd gummie that helps me alot. Ive lost 14lbs in 2 months. 50 more to go.
I had IBS with diarrhea and Ozempic solved my problems. The diarrhea has stopped and I had forgotten how to go toilet normally without diarrhea. So Ozempic has been a blessing to me
I needed to watch this today! I’ve commented in the past- I started my first dose of Semaglutide on 5/31 then suffered from what was originally a sprained ankle on 6/13; Here it is 10/3 and my complete rupture of the AFTL has not healed, I’m scheduled for my 2nd Lumbar Sympathetic Nerve Block in a week, diagnosed with CRPS and Valvular Incompetence in my left leg… Though it’s been a rough haul and I’ve lost all summer and been extremely limited in movement- I’ve still lost 31lbs, I push fluids and protein and fiber and I make time for strength training or chair/couch/wall yoga when not in Physical Therapy. I’ve had bad days. I’ve had REALLY bad days but I’ve also never given up. I could have just sat on my butt all summer and felt sorry for myself. But, that weight I lost- will help my whole body recover and repair and prepare me for my healing to come. I can’t imagine carrying that extra weight on top of my injury. (I mean, at some point I’ll be adding weights to my injured leg- but that’s merely to gain muscle strength and control, not the same as my body working against me and possibly causing more pain or damage to ligaments already torn or strained). So- believe me when I say, it’s not easy and you have to work for it and want to do this the right way. It isn’t just taking a shot, it’s changing your mindset, your habits, and lifestyle. One thing I did hear recently from a mental health professional was that these medications can cause anxiety and depression. Is that true? I’m feeling quite the opposite and that’s the first I’ve ever heard about it.
I can’t answer the comments as much I used to but there was no way I was going to scroll before stopping to say you are a freaking WARRIOR! A survivor on a mission! There is nothing that can stop you but yourself!! You will to get to your healthiest self and you will be your own rocket fuel. Your story is an inspiration to me and I’m sure others are also inspired by your testimony! Thank you for sharing! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
There has been some reports of depression and suicidal ideation in patients taking the meds but it’s not been proven there is a direct correlation. Honestly I don’t think there is. I’ve seen the opposite.
@@GoodDrG Thank You SO much!!!! It’s not been easy. I think I’ve told friends and family that I don’t remember ever crying this much- I probably did when I was a baby, but of course would never remember that- the pain is real, but so is the fight. And that’s exactly what I intend to do! If any one person can read this or see this or hear this and they KNOW that it’s okay that the process is slow and there will be setbacks, just keep pushing and keep your eye on the prize; it doesn’t have to be a lot, just keep going. That’s all anyone could ever ask. And be your own darn advocate! Huge hugs to all those who need it!!
@@GoodDrG Thank you for this. That just kind of took me aback- when I went in to “talk” to a mental health professional and I was happy to share some of my wins amongst the defeats as well, there was no, “Keep up the great work, that’s awesome.” It was- “you know, these GLP-1’s cause this and cause that so, you need to start this medication…”. How about no. How about you slow your role and tell your pharmacy rep to stay away from me too. I came to chat and gain coping mechanisms, not add a mountain to a mole hill. And matter of fact, talking about mountains- let me tell you about my God and how he helps me move them, and politely put in the words of Father Luda… “Move…, get out the way. Get out the way…, get out the way…” I’ll speak my truth and transparency to those not trying to dim my lights. 🤍

I stumbled across your videos and they are so encouraging.I’ve been dealing with pre diabetes thyroid problems high cholesterol and vitamin deficiency for 8plus years my doctor sent me to specialty doctors for thyroid it’s been going well since they found a dosage that works for me in the past 5years I’ve gained so much weight my A1C is like I’m diabetic so my doctor sent me to bariatric specialist and she prescribed Ozempic I actually gained weight the first week or two which frustrated me cause I was only 200lbs when I went to the doctor but threw weeks later I’m at a plateau I ve been 200lbs going on two weeks my dose now is 5 and I only had two of them since my last visit I haven’t experienced any side effects don’t know what else to do I need to watch your videos cause what you have said is exactly what I’m going through
I just started a few days ago. My cardiologist started me on .5 and I am not having side effects. My energy is still very low but I am Back to clean eating and I am shocked that my compulsion to binge is gone. I have also suffered with crohns and ibs for 20 years. I can’t believe how the oxen pic is helping me with my ibs. I am going to start walking this week and low weight training. I have already lost 50 lbs after my heart attack two years ago but I stalled and started gaining weight back. My goal is to maintain my health and feel great. The weight loss is the lowest on my wish list! I won’t be sad but I really want to feel optimum healthy. As I said just a few days in and already losing bloating. I do need some high fiber options. Last night I had a few sweet potato logs I baked. I do not do well on quinoa and rice due to my crohns.
Thank you for this! I would much rather get information from someone like you who is in the trenches then from some pharmaceutical study. Keep it up! And thanks again.
I needed this ❤️🩹. I started out with Wegovy on 7/01, and lost 30 lbs, Monday I’ll start Tirzepatide Monday. I have 20 more lbs to go. I’ve only been on 2.5. Due to my auto immune diseases, yes multiple, I stopped sugar all together, diet sodas, breads, pasta, gluten, some dairy, and I’ve been well. I workout 4x a week, free weights, Pilates, ellliptical, I did increase my protein by eating more fish, and plant based protein shakes. Sleeping is a struggle but getting better. I’ve been sticking to a sleep schedule and it made a huge difference. Celebrate the little wins, take measurements don’t only rely on the horrible scale lol, made me cry a few times but I measured myself and said “oh” lol I still drink my coffee black or nondairy creamer…many blessings to you all and WE GOT THIS!’ hugs
@@greaterishe7197 I use the premier protein plant based in chocolate and I add peanut butter powder with no sugar. Tastes like a Reese’s peanut butter cup lol - it’s doable for me.
Started Zepbound in July and I'm down 33 lbs in 4 months. The first 4 days are tough with not wanting to eat and constipation. Definitely need to up my protein and fiber.and take a multivitamin. Weight loss is slowing so I guess I'm plateauing. I decided to do 7.5 for 2 months because of the GI issues. The food noise is gone as are the cravings. My A1C and cholesterol are both down. Still have 30 lbs to go. This medication has been a godsend!
1. I am suppressed 2. Im not over eating why shouldnt it work? 3. I workout almost everyday and Tuesday Thursday i have 2 times that i work out , strength training and cardio 4. I dont drink alcohol 5. I take much more protein and fibers
@@GoodDrGi sleep very well. Between 10-11 pm ever night wake up at 7 am . I think Your right I need to track my food again. To make sure Im eating right. I eat 1,500 calories Idk if that to low
Been on monjouro since August. Just started the 10mg dose. Luckily had no side effects throughout the process. But not had drastic weight loss. I started at 76.6kg and have dropped to 70.4kg but that’s been in 3 months. I joined F45 and have been working out 3-4 times a week. Have increased protein through low calorie protein yogurts, shakes. Been conscious what I’m eating and not been snacking, cutting carbs, generally eating a banana sometimes for breakfast or nothing, eating home made salad lunches and protein yogurts. A normal dinner like pasta but small portions. Tracking everting on my my fitness pal to remain less than 1400 calories. Don’t have a hunger urge have to force myself to remember to eat. I do have have PCOS, I am doing a lot of weight training so wonder if I’m gaining muscle and losing body fat?!?. And I am mega stressed with work doing 10-12 hour days, gym after work and not sleeping well at night, grinding my teeth in my sleep. Wanting to drop to 55kg. Wondering if I should consider swapping to ozempic or continue with monjouro as it’s doing something albeit slowly. The only way I have ever dropped to 62kg was unhealthily when I was super stressed with dad sick from cancer and I did 7 days a week cardio sometimes twice a day and effectively not eating except salad lunches and watermelon. And toast for dinner as I had no appetite. Basically think it’s the stress and poor sleep. Maybe gaining muscle and skewed results as went full out. Mgmt bunny. Or this don’t work for me category.
I’m here because I’m taking Mounjaro and was disappointed in my progress. The month of September I took the .25mg and lost 4lbs, after a Dr visit she moved me up to 5.0mg, today was my second dose and I’m back at my starting weight 🫤. I’m 5’10 and weighing in at 239lbs. I’ve taken Glyxambi for a couple years and initially seeing A1c in the mid 6’s but it was creeping up and last couple of labs have been 7ish. Agreed to the Mounjaro mostly because of that but wouldn’t mind dropping some weight as well. Problem is sugar checks (3-4 daily) seem to be a little higher. Appetite has dropped considerably and I’ve eaten much less and healthier so far so I’m puzzled how today I’m back where I started. Thanks for the tips, I plan to continue, side effects are minimal and I have two months of the meds. I’ll try and concentrate on the things you’ve discussed and see how it goes. I had to smile when your first reason was impatience… ok, 😁 Thanks again!
Thank you so much doctor for all this valuable information. I've been on Mounjaro for 4 months with ZERO weight loss 😔 This week im starting Mounjaro 7.5 lets see what happens
Been on a plateau while on 1.7mg of Wegovy after losing 50 lbs. and this was validating, so thank you. I just went up to 2.4 mg and finally started to lose again but I also started to eat a bit better again, get more sleep and resolve some of the recent stress in my life so I’m able to get back in the gym on a regular schedule. Thank you for this🙂
Thank you. I've been on both medications ozempic highest 2 and mounjaro 10. My Dr started me slow and then increased over time. Nothing work! I thought something was wrong with me. However i did all the necessary testing to make sure I was able to take the medicine and everything was good. 7 months and spent a lot of money but no weight loss. Seeing this video made me feel better. This isnt for me and nor do I need it. Congratulations to ones its working for. Im a snacker and i need to improve my lifestyle. Im at peace with that. Thank you ❤
Very interesting info about the body not being able to break it down like endogenous glp, it really helps understand the mechanics of the medication. Great video!
I have IBS C&D but mostly C. I also had much of my colon removed due to acute diverticulitis. I have been on the Tirzepatide for 4 months now and have been doing well. My GI doc recommended drinking a ton of water all day and using more than normal pre and probiotics. So far i have been constipated less than i was before and only had one day of mild diarrhea so it had been a win so far. Im down 26 lbs.
Gah! I had to start tracking macros. I thought I could get close using good, natural food. But it turns out I was eating too many calories for my age and level of activity. I aim to keep calories below 1,400 with an emphasis on protein and a good balance of fat and carbs. I work in treats here and there. So it’s not like I’m trying to eat an extremely limited diet. Before tracking I was eating over 2,000 calories. Old dogs can learn new tricks.
Outstanding!!!! Good for you for being brave enough to do this on your own! This is one of the hardest things to get people to do but once they do it they realize, “Oh sh*t! I had no idea I was doing this all wrong!” I really leaned into this important point in my consultations after watching several episodes of a show called “Secret Eaters” out of the UK. Awesome show displaying human nature and the lies we tell ourselves when it comes to mindlessly overeating!👍🏾
@@GoodDrG I’ll see if I can find that show. As clarification, I should have mentioned that I am taking compounded Tirzepatide. I’m on week seven and at 50 units. I was “only” losing a pound a week. I started at 280 pounds and thought the first ten would fall off quickly before the weight loss slowed down. That’s when I started keeping accurate stats of what I was actually eating. I also did not start feeling the appetite satiating benefits of the compound until I upped my dose to the 50 units. In addition, I’m paying attention to what works for me. Example: I had/have an awful afternoon binging problem. I realized that I was hungry at 3:00 besides wanting the dopamine high of carb heavy snacks. So I started having dinner around 3:30 and if needed I have an evening snack. It does not matter if I ate lunch around 11:00 and “should not” be hungry at 3:00. I really appreciate you and your philosophy of using these drugs as a tool to reframe our thinking and our habits. Thank you for your generosity.
@@SuzeMc nice!!! I love how MINDFUL you have become! This is an excellent example of being triggered by “cues”. Yours was a time a day (3pm). You saw the pattern only when you really started tracking and therefore made a LIFESTYLE CHANGE!! Absolute poetry in motion! Congrats!

Hi this is great info. Thanks . Been 5mg Mj for 6 months . Good loss first 4 months . Minimal loss last 2 months . I think it’s time to go up to 7.5mg . Do you do consults for people Australia ?
I went from 186 to 175 in 5 days…I just took my 3rd shot this past Saturday. I work out consistently though. I just wanted to be at my goal weight of 168. I might not even need my Week 4 shot. Mounjauro.
To me you seem like exactly the person who shouldn’t be taking these meds unless you are a diabetic. Needing to lose just 20 pounds to get to your goal weight is very different than someone with a lifelong history of obesity who needs to lose like 200 pounds and has multiple health issues.
@@musicfangirl7403 hey! Take a step back. You don’t know this persons Keith or medical conditions. Your videos are so informative! Thank you! My question for you is, how does one/the doctor know when a lower dose is ineffective and should be moved up?? Thank you in advance. 🙏🏼✨
Hey! Each patient is different. Some docs with less experience with the GLP1s prefer to follow the manufacturers recommendations to push all patients to the maximum dose as they did in the clinical trials. I prefer to go by the patients weight loss goals, whether or not side effects present themselves and the amount of weight loss seen each week. Taking all that into account we make a decision whether or not the dose should be increased or decreased from week to week. I've been on semaglutide for 5 months. The other day had the worst constipation of my entire life ! So blocked up it was pushing my prostate and couldn't pee !
Well rounded advice that people could look into and learn more about and implement. 👍🏽 1 question: did you lose a bet with the socials production guy and they made you do that dance? 🤣🤣
I lost 30 pounds 2 years ago was on ozempic for 3 months but after I used the coupon the Dr gave me for 3 months for $25 I couldn’t stay on the medication because my insurance won’t cover any weight loss medications and it was too expensive out of pocket. I continued to eat right and workout but the weight came back 😒. I have Hashimoto’s disease and I’m pre diabetic. My Dr just started me on zepbound which I’m paying $400 a month for out of pocket so I’m hoping that it works for me. I’ve been seeing a nutritionist once a month for the last 4 months and slowly changing my eating habits. I’ve added fiber and protein to my diet. I actually don’t eat a lot so I’ve been eating protein bars and drinking protein shakes as meal replacements. I’ve even been keeping a food diary.
So far lost 16 pounds after six weeks of injecting weekly semaglutide. I actually lost 16 pounds at the four week mark. I have taken 10cc for 2 weeks and 20cc for 4 weeks. Rotating the shot in tumny, arm, and top of thigh fat. I got to curb the fast food. I eat less of it but still eating it. Bought an air fryer and will try that. Move to 30 cc next week and will use your tip to break the dosage over two days at 20/10cc
Pro Tip: To avoid confusion I always recommend referring to “mg” and not “cc” or “ml” or “Units”. There’s no telling what concentration of medication you are using.
@@Princesstennis1964 fair enough. Take a look at the vial. How many total milligrams are in the vial when you got it? How much fluid was in the vial when you got it?
@@Princesstennis1964 this is a great example of why we should use the actual doses and not volume. 1 cc = 1ml. Therefore 30cc = 30 ml. That would mean 15 vials which would put you at 75 mg of Semaglutide!!!! 🤨 I’m sure you meant .3cc or .3ml which is .75mg of Semaglutide.
Is there any reason why when I lay down for a nap? Or lay down on the couch for an hour or 2 In the evening. And watch TV. My glucose goes 65 to 70, but if I sit up or end up walking around it stays above 72.? To fix this. Especially in the morning, should I get up and and start exercising to boost it least to a hundred before?I sit down. The only alternative is to pop two hershey's kisses which i'm told it's not really good to eat sugar in the morning. I am on farxiga and ozempic.
@GoodDrG I will see my Endo doctor in november and I could mention it to her then or I can send her an email and see what she says sooner. I don't know if I need a medication adjustment or what I just don't want it to keep happening for another three months.
@@taranapoli9410 I’m thinking a medication adjustment may be needed. Have to decide either the farxiga or GLP1 will need to be adjusted to avoid hypoglycemia.
Thank you for such a thorough conversation about these medications and some of the potential pitfalls. As access to these meds continue to present a challenge, do you believe maintenance with Rybelsus would be an option for some?

Stress and sleep. I sleep 4-5 hrs a night. I go to bed at 10 pm, but like clockwork, my eyes pop open between 2-3 am, sometimes even 1 am. I wake up at 4 am to exercise because I have to be at work for 6 am. I work two jobs, so I literally work all day. 6 am-4:30 pm then 5 pm- 9 pm. Both are desk jobs, so not hard work, but I work all day. Regardless of working all day, my body still wakes up after only 4 hours of sleep and I hate it.
I've heard of people trading the workout for more sleep because what's the point of working out if sleep (lack of) is sabotaging your weight loss efforts! Wishing the best of luck in figuring it out.
Thank you for sharing. I begin my journey next month, and I was thinking that because I work 2 jobs(1 desk job and 1 semi physical job), this side effect wouldn't apply to me. We will see.
Omg I was wondering why I’m at 3 month stall. I went up to 12.5 and I’m still at a stall. I do work 9pm to 7am so I get zero sleep. Doctor just gave me metformin to see if the stall will break.
Excellent video! Very understanding, clear, and amusing with the plateau party 😂. Great job doc! I’ve lost nearly 10lbs in my first month but now I’m looking forward to more weight loss and I’m not moving past the 10lb mark so this was helpful. My issue is definitely impatience I just need to continue working out 3-4X a weeks and continue to eat better.
I have been on Tirzepatide for 3.5 months, I am 67 yo and started on 2.5mg . I noticed I could not eat hardly anything. I am now starting 10mg, I have lost 38lbs. no exercising, nausea and sleeping maybe 5-7 hrs always broken at least 2X a night. I do not eat sugar, I do eat carbs, but I cannot eat more than 1/2 to 3/4 cups of food per meal. I do not drink alcohol anymore as I do not have any cravings at all. Some people have different metabolisms. I had tried every diet I can think of and this has been the only thing that has ever worked this well. I did just buy a small treadmill and will start to walk a bit.

Based on the pharmacology and differences in the receptors involved with each of the medications it’s highly unlikely suboxone would affect the hunger suppression mechanism of GLP1 meds. Great question!
I lost 3 lbs in 4 weeks, then overnight i dropped 5 lbs, i was sooo happy. Two days later those 5 lbs were back. BUMMER Not due to any diet change, eating healthy consistently. Not due to menstrual cycle as i am post menopause. I dont drink alcohol or eat junk foods. So why the huge fluctuation? Disappointed but not discouraged. BTW I enjoy your videos!

Thank you so much for giving the protein goals you mentioned. We have been having this discussion (argument) in one of the chat groups for the past few days and one person mentioned the one to 1.2 g but said it was per pound rather than per kilogram. I tried to explain that it’s probably per kilogram as much of the rest of the world uses grams and kilograms rather than pounds and ounces like America does and to mix the two measurements styles could be dangerous. I will point them in the direction of this video. Some people are trying to get in more than 200 g of protein per day which is going to be very harsh on their kidneys I would think. Also, I so agree with your celebrating of the plateau. I had three in my weight loss journey of 33 kg. The longest one lasted for six weeks but I knew if I stuck with the program I would continue to lose again and I did. I kept my exercise the same and ate a small but reasonable amount of calories, was always in a calorie deficit, and the weight came off.

Why has this randomly started at 10 weeks. Would u recommend probiotics, digestive enzymes??

The medication can do that.Call or email your doctor. You may need to cut the dose back or in half. You also, may not be able to tolerate the medication.Being on other medications can affect this as well. I stayed on the Lowest Dose of Ozempic for 4 months. Then went up to the next dose. I never went to the next box which is a higher dose. I have lost 67 lbs. I had nausea and a headache for the first 4 months after taking the shot. The side effects went away and then this summer it came back. This medication can react to the heat. I do a lot of gardening. You have to be really careful. Also, my stomach has hurt the last few shots.( it started when the weather was hot, so this was the problem)Dr said cut the dose. I did. So it should resolve itself. I only need to lose about 7 lbs.

Spot on!
Starvation mode the way you described it is a myth. One time I didn't eat for 5 days and lost as much fat during that period as expected according my BMR.
Well, starvation mode exists but it happens due to malnutrition. Most people forget that nutrition is not just calories.

I came to chat and gain coping mechanisms, not add a mountain to a mole hill. lol love the plateau dance! Thanks for all the great info. Keeping it real…
I stumbled across your videos and they are so encouraging.I’ve been dealing with pre diabetes thyroid problems high cholesterol and vitamin deficiency for 8plus years my doctor sent me to specialty doctors for thyroid it’s been going well since they found a dosage that works for me in the past 5years I’ve gained so much weight my A1C is like I’m diabetic so my doctor sent me to bariatric specialist and she prescribed Ozempic I actually gained weight the first week or two which frustrated me cause I was only 200lbs when I went to the doctor but threw weeks later I’m at a plateau I ve been 200lbs going on two weeks my dose now is 5 and I only had two of them since my last visit I haven’t experienced any side effects don’t know what else to do I need to watch your videos cause what you have said is exactly what I’m going through
I appreciate a health care provider that has a sense of humor. Thanks 😊
I just started a few days ago. My cardiologist started me on .5 and I am not having side effects. My energy is still very low but I am
Back to clean eating and I am shocked that my compulsion to binge is gone.
Really appreciate your content. Any medical info on GLP1 meds and Lupus?

Celebrate the little wins, take measurements don’t only rely on the horrible scale lol, made me cry a few times but I measured myself and said “oh” lol
I still drink my coffee black or nondairy creamer…many blessings to you all and WE GOT THIS!’ hugs

I truly enjoyed this video Doc! It helped me a lot! God Bless!

2. Im not over eating why shouldnt it work?
3. I workout almost everyday and Tuesday Thursday i have 2 times that i work out , strength training and cardio
4. I dont drink alcohol
5. I take much more protein and fibers
Count calories. Keep a food diary. Sleep? Stress?
@@GoodDrGi sleep very well. Between 10-11 pm ever night wake up at 7 am . I think Your right I need to track my food again. To make sure Im eating right. I eat 1,500 calories Idk if that to low
@@nadasabry7839 that’s a low number. Are you comfortable with that? What is your macro breakdown? You should be doing 75g protein minimum.
Excellent video!! You’re awesome!!! 🎉

Thank you so much doctor for all this valuable information.
I've been on Mounjaro for 4 months with ZERO weight loss 😔
This week im starting Mounjaro 7.5 lets see what happens
All the best! Give us a call if you need a consult. You should have lost weight by now.

EXCELLENT video! You covered it all!
Glad you liked it!
Congrats!

To me you seem like exactly the person who shouldn’t be taking these meds unless you are a diabetic. Needing to lose just 20 pounds to get to your goal weight is very different than someone with a lifelong history of obesity who needs to lose like 200 pounds and has multiple health issues.

@@GoodDrG that's what's listed on dosage chart and on the needles that are shipped with the vial
@@Princesstennis1964 fair enough. Take a look at the vial. How many total milligrams are in the vial when you got it? How much fluid was in the vial when you got it?
@@GoodDrG it reads: Semaglutide 2ML INJECTABLE 2.5 MG/ML (QTY : 1 VIAL)
Have you talked to your PCP about this?
@GoodDrG I will see my Endo doctor in november and I could mention it to her then or I can send her an email and see what she says sooner. I don't know if I need a medication adjustment or what I just don't want it to keep happening for another three months.

Can Suboxone block the GLP one sensation to not feel hungry?
Based on the pharmacology and differences in the receptors involved with each of the medications it’s highly unlikely suboxone would affect the hunger suppression mechanism of GLP1 meds. Great question!

Thank you. I’m on a low dosage tirzepatide on 7th shot. No weight loss . I eat healthy have hypothyroidism
