Same here. I played Persona 3 Portable when I was around 10-11 years old and it gave me creeps especially during the Nyx boss fight. I remember back then that I couldn't even sleep because of the game hahaha

I get what you saying, but it was like that in the old games. You would get the shuffle time before the battle results where it shows you how much xp you got.

I am playing the Steam version of the game and absolutely love it. I am struggling with learning the fusion part of the game but like anything else it'll just take game time and trial and error. Trying to finish it before reload.

Tartarus looks SO much more interesting now, holy shit. They were wise to bring back the P5 combat menu, rather than the wheel from 3. It's just much snappier when you know where on the controller to press rather than spin a wheel until you reach one of like 7 possible options. Having them condensed into 4 is so much less tedious. The original system isn't bad per se, but 5 streamlined it to where picking an item off the old menus feels like an eternity. Looks like "Gun" has been replaced by "tactics" on d-pad up. I like also how the shape of the "C" in "Command" is like a huge crescent moon, as well as how, even though it does not s roll like a wheel anymore, the menu still hearkens back to the wheel, being encapsulated in a blue circle. 5 had the menu options sort of radiating from the party members, so I believe this was the intent behind the circle.
I'm kinda sad that Makoto doesn't do the cool gun twirl thing he would always do before a persona attack in the original. It was a minor thing that made his shot stand out from the others. Otherwise, so excited to play this when it comes out!
I haven't played this game yet but afaik, in this game, the characters must undergo some kind of mental trauma in order to summon/use their persona. The "shooting themselves in the head" literally and figuratively represents that trauma. I was also very curious as to why that was the animation the first time I saw this in P3P gameplays before hehe
You do realize that P5 base game came out in 2016/2017. At the rate Atlus the game is pretty close to done. Main reason they probably haven’t said anything about P6 is because of the stupefying amount of delays for P5.
@@GavinFromWeb they're more than welcome to take their time. I know how much work goes into the lore and making a good story, but with how the gap was between p4 and p5, PLUS the work they're doing on P3 Reload and side projects, I won't be surprised at all if we don't get P6 this generation
persona 4 golden holds up really well and especially with the graphical enhancements they did when it came to xbox and such i dont think it needs this treatment
after playing P5 you can definitely see it's P3 wrapped into P5's or P5R's engine... they even kept that animation, which happens after character's elimitated the last enemy (like Mona with a cigar). looks pretty much refreshing anyway..
Thats not what a game engine is btw. The game engine is the core class library and dev ide used to build it. Persona 5 used a proprietary engine and p3r uses unreal engine. I think you just mean it's borrowed from persona 5 artistically, which I agree with. Looks cool though doesn't it :)

I mean if you played P5 recently you can recognize many patterns and think "looks like P5 in P3's skin.. I definitely see P5's skeleton behind it".

I'm always baffled by how much the community dislike the JP dub. The characters are Japanese, it's set in Japan so why are y'all freaking out that I'm playing it in its native language? Portable is the one with FEMC FES endgame technically since that has you play as Aigis. But P2 also has a female protagonist being Maya in eternal punishment

No, Persona 4 already had its “remake” and the only reason to why persona 3 is getting it is because of how empty it was, it’s my all time favorite persona game, but this game was an experimental leap for atlas as this is the most drastic change from p1-p2 and they couldn’t throw too much at us, since this was a success, of course persona 4 and 5 are respectively more fleshed out
This looks terribly clumsy. I'm sure it'll still be amazing because it is Persona 3 after all, but from a gameplay, movement, and interface perspective it's a clear and definitive step backwards from Persona 5.

The wheel is meant to mimic a gun barrel that's cool.

Everybody gets custom-made replica guns that they use to let out their persona. Hence, they shoot themselves to attack using their persona.
