Lufie Alice Vedder's voice warbles too much; sounds like he's doing a joan baez impersonation. just glad he's not singing with his back teeth clenched together like he used to. He can't hold a candle to Gilmore. And neither can that guitar player, now that i think of it.
The Wall is such a powerful album. I remember getting stoned out of my mind when I was 16 years old and just being blown away listening to that album. Life was so simple back then.
I dont know which is more impressive. That it sounds as "at home" with Eddie singing it, or that it was manifested from a different plane, as it clearly was. I am in awe. Thank you.
I always say only David should sing Pink’s part of this song. Yet I watch Eddie Vedder sing it multiple times in a row every time I watch this video. He’s that good.
You guys can say whatever you want. The combination of these two together on stage was incredible. Two of the most prolific names in rock history performing one of the most timeless classics ever. I'll take that over the lip synced auto-tuned bullshit being aired on most stations these days.
When Roger Waters wrote that song, he was writing about his own life experience. During this performance, he really taps into it emotionally, for all to see.
Band did an AWESOME job, and Vedder....well, his vibrado and vocals speak for themselves. ...and the tone on that tele...and the feel! Band did such an awesome job, all of them.
This is excellent! Eddy sings with such emotion. Who says hey can't understand the words Eddy is singing. . I never had a problem hearing or knowing what is coming out of his mouth. Eddy plays with so many groups and people. Eddy is amazing.
Eddie Vedder and Roger Waters sing the most soothing, consolating song I ever heard and I love the most beautiful sound of the Fender Guitar too! A small consolation for all the next of kin and friends of the people in the plane crash disaster!
It is not often a cover is better than the original. If you can call this a cover, its one of the greatest of all time. Vedder shows that he is the #1 front man in Music today by a country mile. So rich, so powerful so much emotion and understanding, pure musical genius. A fantastic song all the same, a classic, timeless, of its time and ahead of its time.
That was soooo freakin beautiful!! Chills and tears! I love Roger and I absolutely love Eddie Vedder, one of my favorite human beings on this planet!! What a beautiful version of Comfortably Numb!! Eddie did excellent job singing! Thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
My favorite vocalist singing one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs to help out some of my favorite people. You can forgive Nature for Her wrath and get down to work - that's how beautiful this is. Heads up North-East coast!
...watched this a few days ago with my little son (5 yrs old), he seemed to have liked it, because he watched it and listened to it until the end ;) It gives me the shivers when Vedder jumps in... Amazing voice he has, definetly touching. When my son and i drive around in the car we sing together and his favourite playlist consists of the following 3 songs "pf - another brick in the wall pt. 2, azra - balkane and dead can dance - ubiquitous mr. lovgrove", hahaha, and it´s put on repeat.... A lot of junk out there these days, especially for the kids... I remember some time when quality music was played on mainstream radio stations.... Nowerdays a lot of audiovisual pollution happens... Thanks to Vedder and Waters for this beautiful duet....
Y a pas de mots assez forts pour exprimer ce que l'on peut ressentir! Roger Waters est connecté à la source. Il transcende les foules.Le guitariste est sublime et Eddie est magnifique. Gros cadeau❤en ces temps si durs!
The very best version of this song was when David Bowie and Eddie Vedder shared the vocals and David Gilmour did the lead guitar parts. It was just magical
God, my Eddie Vedder just makes this song even more soul wrenchingly amazing...such perfect lyrics that really hit home. "Comfortably numb", "A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.." great lyrics. I cried hearing Vedder ...the millions of times I have played it thus far! They added one of my favorite singers, singing one of my favorite songs, all for a good cause...just through Maynard from TOOL in there somehow and give me a personal show with drinks, then I would probably be set in life.
I stopped at this message and it kinda mad me sad, I am not rich by any means but if I am able to I would like to help you get to see Pearl Jam someday.
Good or bad, it doesn't matter, this is a point in time that you have two of the finest together performing. Never again can we get this back. You guys are awesome! Most sincerely, a Pink Floyd/Pearl Jam fan, forever.
What an honor it would be to perform this song with Roger Waters... I saw Pink Floyd play in '94 and David and company rocked this song like no one ever will but still wow if I was a professional singer I would jump thru hoops to do this song live... guitarist had a great tone.
Heavy combo....they share a big grief and Eddie appears to be genuinely touched by it. The 1990 live version in Berlin with Van Morrisson still knocks me down.
nobody can touch the emotion David puts into that solo...that solo with david is like a high every time i hear it...this guy did not give me that feeling
How do you suppose fellow music lovin Eddie felt doing Comfortably Numb with Roger Waters!?! You can HEAR how he felt about it. Will always be an Eddie fanboy. 😆
Someone once said to me "There's an argument to be made that Eddie Vedder is the greatest vocalist of all time." My response was "I want to hear the argument against it."
Eddie Vedder could sing the dictionary and I'd listen to it!
Idem😊
I think it's fair to say that Eddie Vedder has one of best voices in rock music ever....
Lufie Alice ...one of many to be sure.
Let's not go to far I think David's voice is perfect
Too bad he wasnt even there.
olc mac tíre Yes, Gimour voice is Pink Floyd, but Eddie Vedder can sing!!!!!!...anything and I will listen!
Lufie Alice Vedder's voice warbles too much; sounds like he's doing a joan baez impersonation. just glad he's not singing with his back teeth clenched together like he used to. He can't hold a candle to Gilmore. And neither can that guitar player, now that i think of it.
Eddie’s vibrato gives me chills.
Everything about Eddie gives me chills 😍
Siiiiiii.
The Wall is such a powerful album. I remember getting stoned out of my mind when I was 16 years old and just being blown away listening to that album. Life was so simple back then.
Wow, I don't know who is more privileged to sing with one and other.
Eddie is the privileged one. In my humble opinion.
It's waters who is privileged, no debate, eddie is way more talented imho.
When Eddie Vedder started singing, I got goose bumps.
Same!!
Waters’ singing was just awful.
@@wengelder9256it always has been but that never got in his way before
Same as
Con su voz y su interpretación no era necesario nada más.😍
I dont know which is more impressive. That it sounds as "at home" with Eddie singing it, or that it was manifested from a different plane, as it clearly was. I am in awe. Thank you.
A good performance. Eddie... one of the best voices of all times.
Eddie Vedder giving us a birds eye view of what transcendence looks, feels and sounds like.
This might be one of my favourite things that ever happened.
Thousand of likes to your comment
I can't explain how much I admire Eddie Vedder coming from his so humble origins to sing side by side with Roger Waters 🤩
Roger Waters is like... I've done this a million times. Eddie is like Holy Fuck, I'm singing classic Pink Floyd with Roger Waters on the stage!
Perfectly said
I always say only David should sing Pink’s part of this song. Yet I watch Eddie Vedder sing it multiple times in a row every time I watch this video. He’s that good.
He is a pleasure to listen to ❤
It's like his voice was made to sing this.
You're right only David should sing it

My 2 favorite lyricists of all time, and INFJ and INFP, on stage together rocking one of the greatest tunes ever.
Eddies presence on stage is just unparalleled ❤
E nem se esforça...é naturalmente dele!! Presença de palco incrível 😊
I have yet to hear Eddie sing this without sobbing. I feel it down to my very soul.
When Eddie starts singing it gives me chills.
When Roger Waters wrote that song, he was writing about his own life experience. During this performance, he really taps into it emotionally, for all to see.
It's a shame he sucks so badly
Vedder is absolutely brilliant in this
Drinking beer and listening to this song on friday night, makes me forget about my troubles
obviously no argue this is the best classic EVER EVER
Man, those guitar solo parts were freaking on point
Absolutely, note to note ❤
Seriously... ???
@@Genevieve111 Yes
@Genevieve111 Ofcourse, and I play the same version solo (album/ studio version) and hence can very well relate every note 😊❤
Really? I can't quite agree on that. David Gilmour's touch and personality are missing.
Insane. Eddies vibrato still sends shivers up my spine after 20 years
When I hear the guitar solo of this song I get chills there is so much feel in the solo n it's obviously Roger Waters n Eddie Vedder singing it.
best male singer in history, one of the best songs in history!
Eddie makes everything better.
❤❤❤❤Vedder❤❤❤❤
Eddie will always be the best thing that happens to any song, ever. Legend.
Eddie is the one. What a voice
vedder and comfortably numb , a match made in heaven.
Vedder makes me cry... such an energy
The back and forth of Gilmour and Waters is what makes this song EPIC!
Ed Vedder's vocals. ❤️❤️
His voice is a gift to us all.
Una grandissima performance!amo Roger....😊🤗😍😘😘🎶🎸🎶🎸💘💓💋💯💋💯🌅
It's like his voice was made to sing Pink Floyd songs.
Fabulous performance. The whole band nailed it!! Eddie's voice is so great and totally complemented this great song!
Eddie was amazing here he gets so much emotion into his covers !
Loved Eddie's voice ever since l first heard it.❤❤❤💗💗💗💜💜💜💙💙💙💕💕💕🧿🧿🧿💟💟💟🍄🍄🍄❤❤❤❄️❄️❄️
80! this dude is 80years old..... cant handle that... 80?!

Listen to Yellow Ledbetter and you may understand
I understood that one the third or fourth time through.
Stop spelling eddie with y at the end, it gives me a chill
I igree with your comment though
You could tell the huge respect that Eddie has for Roger and to sing this song I believe was honor for him. Amazing.
Eddie Vedder and Roger Waters sing the most soothing, consolating song I ever heard and I love the most beautiful sound of the Fender Guitar too! A small consolation for all the next of kin and friends of the people in the plane crash disaster!
Do you know who the lead guitarist is?
love the fender partof your comment
Dear Lori, there is no guitar which sounds so great!
The guitar is fine, but the guitarist leaves MUCH to be desired with the first - dull - solo...
Thanks for your comment Helton!

Amazing guitar player. I never thought I'd live to see someone playing that solo with as much soul and precision as Gilmour. Unbelievable.

You know Pink Floyd were Masters of the Art when it takes 15 people to *try* to recreate what 4 guys recorded onto analog tape 35 years ago.
Nicely said. Little surprised I’m the first one to reply to this.

It's an edit that someone put together with Bowie and Vedder.
