I loved the end. The girl always left water glasses everywhere, the son’s lungs were closed off from the asthma when the alien sprayed the gas, the brother’s bat on the wall, the wife’s last words…it all came together
And the guy oddly only fell asleep that one time and hit the wife that had a dream (or something) that made her say things that were key to beating the aliens.
Also, the daughter seemingly had dreams about the future and, given the story about the mother seeing what her son would look like, the mother probably did too.
The glasses of water everywhere thing hits me on a personal level because, when we were young, me and my brother used to get yelled at by our parents all the time for having a bad habit of leaving empty and half-empty drinking glasses everywhere, especially in our bedrooms. Idk, we just always would get a new cup whenever we wanted water, idk why lol. But it would drive my dad nuts. 😂 So that she leaves water glasses everywhere impacts me as a believable child behavior.

Countless nights spent playing outside as kids...and hearing strange noises in the fields that we couldn't identify. Yea....Signs tapped that primal fear for me 😬
Exactly. Unknown. It is terrifying, but that fear is very easy to explain - our own instinct of self-preservation kicking in. We don't know what might be out there and this fear makes us cautious. This is what saved our ancestors long ago and keeps saving us to this day. It doesn't mean that we have to hate(next step after fear) something unknown or unfamiliar, but it raises our chances of survival by making us cautious, incase that this unknown proves to be dangerous. Ray Reddy told Graham "it's like it was meant to be", and the first thing his wife says to him when he speaks to her is "It was meant to be", she's telling him it was God's plan for her to be struck by Ray's vehicle. She also says, "tell Graham to see, and tell Merrill to swing away". She wanted Graham to see the signs of God's existence, and then shared how to save their son. Her death saves her son's life. In that moment Graham realizes his dying wife's words served as prophesy, and his faith is restored.
I absolutely LOVE this show: That is why Morgan had asthma That is why Bo always left glasses of water all over That is why his wife told him to tell Merle to swing away. @ahhhhh5849 Reading the Bible does not usually have the effect that naive believers think it will. I was a fervently believing Christian, and I read the entire Bible when I was 15...it is mostly full of reasons to question and lose your faith if you let yourself read it honestly.

I remember this film was so cool to me as a kid because it was so different than any other alien movie I had seen. Glad you guys got to see it! Also, that dinner scene is pure gold. When the dad yells, "SO ENJOY IT", then immediately breaks down crying is heartbreaking and so powerful. Such a good movie that still holds up, one of M. Night Shyamalan's best films.
I was 12 when I saw this. You don't scare easy at 12. This movie really got under my skin, and I can never forget how it made me feel when I first watched it.
My husky had a skin infection earlier this year and I can relate about the walking her. Her birthday is on Halloween and she's back and hair is everywhere now.
The lights over the city was actually based off a true event called the Phoenix lights. I still remember the news coverage that night. 1997. Ain't nobody in my house slept that night.
That dinner table scene will always get to me. Mel Gibson is just masterful as always in expressing absolute devastation, and in this case utter horrifying fear for his family, but he has no choice but to be the strong one.
When this film came out, a bunch of us saw it before my niece and her boyfriend went. So when they came home from watching it, we were all pretending to read newspapers when they walked in, but when we pulled the papers down the whole family was wearing tinfoil hats.😁 Scared the heck out of them, then we all burst out laughing!! A great alien movie, one of my favorites.
Now you need to watch "The Village". Same director, Joaquin Phoenix is in it, and it also has Bryce Dallas Howard from Twilight. It also has a Halloween feel so would be perfect!
Here in Brazil this is was HUGE bc the little boy at the anniversary REALLY SPOKE IN PORTUGUESE! We were ysed at those times to see Brazilians being portraited speaking in Spanish on foreign movies just bc we are in latin america, but we indeed speak Portuguese, not Spanish so a lot of ppl though it was real 😂
Omg...seeing this on my feed made me happy, it's been a rough week...the other day I was hurt cause it was the wrong video from the thumbnail but I'm happy now you reacting to it ...I was wondering when ppl were going to see this gem 💎🛸👽
There's an amazing synopsis of this movie that explains the beings not as "aliens" but as inter dimensional demons that have come to torment the family because they had lost their faith, specifically Graham. Bo is actually an angel, blessed, which is why she left water all around the house - she knew it would happen and left holy water out all over. IT'S FASCINATING!!! you should go find it and watch. Made me love this movie EVEN more. And the SCORE for the film is one of the best in cinematic history
@@jakecollin5499 it's actually exactly why she would vote to go to the lake - she saw her brother's "death" in the basement of their home...hence, leave the home, perhaps it wouldn't come true.
This theory cheapens the impact of every other coincidence that Bo isn't involved with. If anything, the mother's the angel... Bo left water around the house because her mother was subconsciously telling her to do so, foreshadowed in the scene where she tells the dad that her mother doesn't answer her either when she talks to her. Angels aren't supposed to be able to live as human; they usually take human form to accomplish a specific task, then disappear... they don't stick around as a member of the family they're tasked to help.
I think she gets glimpses. She saw her brother having an asthma attack, but not the alien in the living room. Also, she didn't know why she didn't like water, and didn't know it was acidic to the aliens
I love this movie. I've watched it a few times and catch the deeper themes more each time. The veterinarian who accidentally killed the wife is M. Night Shyamalan who wrote and directed the movie.
I was about 13 when this movie came out, and it tripped me out for the longest time. I whole-heartedly believe in aliens. Aliens are one of those things I think I'll always be scared of. So many possibilities for what they're like and what their intentions could be.
Yeah, that's a reason to be scared of everyone and everything because you do not know what anybody's or anything's true motives are. Your reasoning for fear of aliens is equally reasonable to fear AI and your next-door neighbor.
Why would you be scared of the aliens? They would have complete different ideas and complete different objectives from us. Because they would have a complete different biology from us. There’s no reason to think they would be benevolent OR malevolent.
@@davidholaday2817 there would always be basic needs that unites all lifeforms, that creates incentives. Don't you think? All physical lifeforms gotta have continuous added energy to function, regenerate and exist. For example. If they have travelled all the way here, there is a big risk they are in need of something
If you enjoyed the overall feel of this movie, please consider reacting to another M. Night's movie: "The Village" Also has Joaquin Phoenix in, Sigourney Weaver, William Hurt. Very interesting and touching movie. Unlike "The Signs" - the movie is quite logical.
…and Cherry Jones Officer Paski in Signs and Mrs. Clack in The Village. 10000% agree!! I ADORE The Village. I watched it knowing nothing about it going in, and I think that’s why I enjoyed it. From what I understood after the fact, is that it was marketed really poorly so people went into it expecting one thing and got another and it didn’t sit well with them. They expected The Sixth Sense, but you can’t compare the two, they are completely different from one another. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time and it’s got one of the most gorgeously haunting soundtracks of all time. 🥰🥰🥰
I watched this movie as a very young kid around the time it came out with my family in the darkness of the living room. Vaguely remember much other than being traumatized by the walking across the alley scene XD Definitely a core memory of mine and i appreciate you for reacting to it, one of my all time favorite movies
This movie fucking terrified me as a kid lol. I don't think "aliens" as we think of them as a society exist, no...but to think that Earth is the only planet in the entire universe with life is just insane to me.
7:00 I vibe with Boe... First thing I do when I wake up thirsty anytime... open my window, throw out my glass of water, wipe the glass clean, pour a new glass to drink. The 'old' taste is actually the smell of the room imparting onto the water, but since water is so neutral even that slight change is enough to ruin it. Also since I have plants and cats in the room, who I've caught trying to drink from my water glass... I dont want to taste dirt, pollen, and cat in my water.
Such a great movie! That scene with the hand under the door made me jump about 10 feet. You should watch The Village and Split by the same director who plays Ray in this movie. And yes, aliens are real. The 4th Kind and Fire in the Sky are two alien movies I can't recommend enough. In 1,000 years, if not sooner, if we're still around, we're going to be the alien hostiles searching other planets for resources because we destroyed own. Some of your comments on this killed me. 😂❤
I absolutely love epic Alien mass destruction and world wide panic films like Independence Day and War of the Worlds. In fact I remember watching the OG War of the Worlds with my dad as a child and it scared the hell out of me. But this, is terrifying in a different way. It's so much more intimate. If there are no Aliens and we're the only thing, what a waste of Space. 👽👀
Only engineers talk about wasted space. Creative artistic types see the beauty and balance that space brings. Get lost in the stars of the night sky sometime. Imagine the endless possibilities and potential that exists in a universe as expansive as ours. You don't get that message from a universe the size of a single planet.
It's not a waste of space, it shows the precision engineering of the universe required to keep everything running. The whole universe was required just to allow the human race to exist, and that's a beautiful thing
Wow, and I am not an engineer but I do love stargazing. But I think if we are the only thing in all of these galaxy's. It's a waste. I appreciate the passive aggressive lesson. @@BeachBumZero
I think this is one of the best films ever made on every level. M night shyamalan swung away and hit a home run with this story I've watched this dozens of times over the years and enjoy it just as much every time as I did the first time. I'm a believer in God and I also believe it's highly possible that ours is not the only universe or habitable planet that he created. .
I love this movie! Always! Now there are two movies you need to check out to see what happened with Abigail Breslin (Bo). "Little Miss Sunshine" is a great movie and then, of course, there's "Zombieland". Both are fantastic movies that I think you will enjoy. Great reaction, as always!
Great movie! I love the whole coincidence Vs fate. Was it all just random coincidences or was it meant to happen, for some greater purpose or reason? It’s cool.
I was nine years old when my uncle took me and my older brother to see this movie, this movie had me up for a week straight and had my brother up for two weeks 😂, and we're from Chicago nothing but big city as far as the eye can see with the closest country side being 360 miles away from being close to any corn fields but this movie scared tf out of us probably would have went insane if we did live on a farm with a cornfield 🤣
Another alien movie I really think you should check out is “War of the Worlds” with Tom Cruise. Not sure if you did that over on the second channel, but it’s a great combo of awesome and creepy.

Hi Mr V, thanks for this. I love this. I remember it scared the crap out of me. Great to see Bella so glad she's feeling better. Hugs to her and love to you and your family. I've only seen a crop circle once and I don't think it was made by anyone human. It just appeared overnight.❤
@@DiggitySlice lol, that old laughable bs debunk. A lot of crop circles are incredibly intricate, detailed and huge in scale. Those def can't be made with a plank.
"Vamonos" is more like "let's go".
And the kid who is speaking Portuguese clearly has a Portugal Portuguese accent.
Guess they couldn't find a real Brazilian for the movie
Ray Reddy told Graham "it's like it was meant to be", and the first thing his wife says to him when he speaks to her is "It was meant to be", she's telling him it was God's plan for her to be struck by Ray's vehicle. She also says, "tell Graham to see, and tell Merrill to swing away". She wanted Graham to see the signs of God's existence, and then shared how to save their son. Her death saves her son's life.
In that moment Graham realizes his dying wife's words served as prophesy, and his faith is restored.
I absolutely LOVE this show:
That is why Morgan had asthma
That is why Bo always left glasses of water all over
That is why his wife told him to tell Merle to swing away.
Often times, we don't see, nor can we comprehend HIS divine design.. Do you believe in coincidences or do you believe in signs and miracles?
So...Morgan has Asthma which saves his life...why didn't all the other people that died also have asthma? I guess God didn't care so much about them.

Night Shyamalan's best films.
even after 20 years, this movie is still a really good watch from time to time..
I was 12 when I saw this. You don't scare easy at 12. This movie really got under my skin, and I can never forget how it made me feel when I first watched it.
We were totally different 12 year old, I scared very easily😂.
Lionel Richie & the Wolfington Brothers, my favorite band 😂.
This is one of Night's best movies. We all jumped at the same scenes you did. Mel and Joaquin had great roles. Glad you liked it!
"STOP CRYING" YAH he said it with pain. Great actor mel is
My husky had a skin infection earlier this year and I can relate about the walking her. Her birthday is on Halloween and she's back and hair is everywhere now.
I love this movie. It's not really about an alien invasion, its about family, faith, and fortitude.
and loss, redemption and recovery.
The guy who hit his wife is the writer and producer of the movie. He also wrote and produced the movie The Sixth Sense.
If she was aware that this would happen she wouldn’t have voted to go to a lake
@@jakecollin5499 it's actually exactly why she would vote to go to the lake - she saw her brother's "death" in the basement of their home...hence, leave the home, perhaps it wouldn't come true.
This theory cheapens the impact of every other coincidence that Bo isn't involved with. If anything, the mother's the angel... Bo left water around the house because her mother was subconsciously telling her to do so, foreshadowed in the scene where she tells the dad that her mother doesn't answer her either when she talks to her. Angels aren't supposed to be able to live as human; they usually take human form to accomplish a specific task, then disappear... they don't stick around as a member of the family they're tasked to help.
ok cool@@mobiusbelts3607
I think she gets glimpses. She saw her brother having an asthma attack, but not the alien in the living room. Also, she didn't know why she didn't like water, and didn't know it was acidic to the aliens
I love this movie. I've watched it a few times and catch the deeper themes more each time.
The veterinarian who accidentally killed the wife is M. Night Shyamalan who wrote and directed the movie.
47:37 Jupiter Ascending (2015).
@@davidholaday2817because we are always afraid of the unknown.
@@davidholaday2817 you are exactly the kinda guy the aliens cant wait to eat...i mean meet.
@@davidholaday2817 there would always be basic needs that unites all lifeforms, that creates incentives. Don't you think? Damn, Leo out here doing ASMR at the end with that alien language haha
I'm all about your alien diplomacy! "Do you smoke?"
For almost anything that is unknown or mysteriously suspicious to us, we literally label it as alien or foreign that we never thought to explore.
"Damn aliens dont care bout nobodies pocket" 😂😂😂 i cracked the fuck up on that
Joaquin Phoenix shined in this movie. This was the first time I had seen him in a movie and followed his career ever sense.
Group #1- I LOVE this film- a spooky build with aliens that is about loving your family and regaining your faith.
If you enjoyed the overall feel of this movie, please consider reacting to another M. Night's movie:
"The Village"
Also has Joaquin Phoenix in, Sigourney Weaver, William Hurt.
Very interesting and touching movie. Unlike "The Signs" - the movie is quite logical.
…and Cherry Jones
Officer Paski in Signs and Mrs.
The town in this movie is my town and it takes place in my county! Just next to Philadelphia.
We need more Bella!!!! Glad that beautiful pupper is feeling better. Such a good looking pit.
The little girl in this movie is the cutest sweetest thing and so enjoyable to watch. The complete opposite of Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds.
You've caught plants trying to drink from your water glass? :P

32:21 They are totally boarding up the wrong side of the door.
Nope no proof
increasing his alien social credit score at the end killed me😂😂😂
I absolutely love epic Alien mass destruction and world wide panic films like Independence Day and War of the Worlds.
You truly believe that there is literally nothing else in these endless galaxy's?@@DiggitySlice
Wow, and I am not an engineer but I do love stargazing. But I think if we are the only thing in all of these galaxy's. It's a waste. I appreciate the passive aggressive lesson. @@BeachBumZero
that part with the alien sighting at the child's birthday party made me jump first time i saw it!!
I think this is one of the best films ever made on every level. M night shyamalan swung away and hit a home run with this story I've watched this dozens of times over the years and enjoy it just as much every time as I did the first time.
I'm a believer in God and I also believe it's highly possible that ours is not the only universe or habitable planet that he created. .
I love this movie too!
I also agree there are others in the universe. It's pretty arrogant of us to believe we are GOD's only creations.
To stop these Aliens, all you need is a bunch of kids with Super Soakers. 😂

OMG I'm here for the obligatory BELLA IS BEAUTIFUL comment! She is an angel, glad she's feeling better. ❤ The way she looked up at you was pure love!

Hey Leo, if you like this kind of subject matter, I really think you should try reviewing the classic TV series - _'THE TWILIGHT ZONE'._ Generally considered one of the greatest TV shows of all time and my personal all-time favorite...
Love your reactions! I love this movie because I've always been a believer of aliens and fun fact, I live right near Bucks County (where this movie takes place) and I believe I've had 2 encounters with aliens! One of the experiences I had 2 of my friends with me who can confirm what I saw. I remember after that experience we went back to my friends house and she told her dad that we think we saw an alien and he said "yeah I've seen them around here before." 😲👽
