Shamayalan likes to disguise love stories with elements of horror and heavy heaping doses of suspense, but they are most definitely love stories. This one is family love rather than romantic love, but it's about love nonetheless. And finding faith again, of course. And that is indeed one of the Culkins.
I've seen a good theory that if you look at the creatures as demons instead of aliens, it puts the movie in a new perspective. Great reaction!! Subscribed!
So true especially since they do not really come from outer space but inside of Earth underground there is a whole documentary on that they do have ships of course but they do not travel to outer space and back they are demonic beings
Wow. Fantastic reaction. One of my all time favorite movies to watch every year the way some people watch It's a Wonderful Life. The emotional roller coaster, cries/laughs/love just gets me reset in the best way. Also. I had a great step dad. I hope I was a decent step mom. Here's to the folks who raise kids with all their heart.
If you want a serious movie about aliens, if you haven’t seen it already, please try Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Great movie. And yes, the little girl in this film is Olive from Little Miss Sunshine.
I hit subscribe. You got a great vibe. When I saw this in the theater, we only had The Sixth Sense to go by so expectations were both high and unknown. A lot of people coloring in what they wanted to see from M.Night Shamaylan. I wanted and got great storytelling in the Hitchcock tradition. My boyfriend at the time saw Mel Gibson and Joquin Pheonix and expect a buddy cop alien fighting action movie - maybe like Aliens maybe Men in Black. The story on the couch about almost kissing the girl when she hurled hit him hard too. 😆 Dad and I quoted this all the time. Especially, "let's all calm down & have some fruit" "is douche bag a curse" "they're selling sodas" "that's what the nerds want" But mostly "See" & "swing away" & ""it has his ameboaes"
@ it’s a beautiful area with lots of open land. The town they are in when they go shopping and for pizza, Newtown, is a real town. It looks just like it in the movie, except for how the parking is. It’s a suburb of Philly. A great place to grow up in. M. Night is from the area and has filmed here for a lot of his movies. The Village and The Happening are based on the same area too. It’s cool that he sticks to his roots!
Our house in rural Kansas looks a lot like this. Bright yellow paint though. My kiddo getting lost/playing in the cornfeilds was my nighmare fuel. I grew up in LA. So I am indoorsy. My kid was non verbal. I could hear him laugh as I searched but he wouldnt answer me. The soil is so thick and moist it would suck my shoes off my feet as a I ran through. There's snakes and critters. I actually broke my ankle stepping into a hole and had to limp and crawl back home not sure if he was safe to call for help getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and flies. I thought about this movir and crop circles all the time with that cornfield. But country life was my hubby's dream.
The wife saw the future while she was dying so she had to die for them to see the signs to save themselves from the Aliens. And Mel Gibson's crying acting is always so great. Forever young and the Patriot are some other good movies of his.
I really enjoyed and appreciated your reaction to this movie, as it was so genuine, humble, and real. The best way I can describe it is that it was simply human, and that made it relatable. Although this was the first reaction of yours that I’ve seen, I look forward to checking out more, so thank you. Ever seen Planes, Trains and Automobiles? It’s a comedy, but it actually hits really hard and gets you in the reels in a few scenes. Steve Martin and John Candy are both great. It’s a beautiful movie.
This is the first time I’ve seen a reaction to this movie where the person was getting as emotional as I do when I watch this movie. I tear up every time. It’s such good movie.
As someone who's seen a alien, it was easily 8+ft tall naked and skittered across my neighborhood road. There's shit out there at night, that's a promise. Seeing "it" I cried and held a gun inside the house. Cause the thing literally stopped and looked at me, and ran off.
This is a great movie but I had nightmares for weeks after watching it the first time as a teenager 😆 It’s not Aliens but Split is another great M. Night movie.
Hey, JJ - I'm newly subscribed. After running across your reaction to THE SIXTH SENSE, i think. So, i enjoyed your reaction to SIGNS, also. I'm replying, here, to request a reaction to my favorite sci-fi/alien film: UNDER THE SKIN (2013). Scarlett Johansson. 'Went with my sister to see this at a theater. 'Left there just stunned. We both were. This is a haunting film. I'll confess i fell a bit in love with Scarlett Johansson, but this film's premise was just incredible. It genuinely kept me entranced. Also, WAR OF THE WORLDS (2005) Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Tim Robbins Ŵas mentioned in your reaction, here; it was surprisingly good, i thought. 'Definately watch-list material for any sci-fi/aliens nerd. Keep bringing 'em - i'm glad i'm tuned in. Peace -
Thank you for the recommendation i appreciate it! I want to start an alien playlist (name to be determined) and ill definitely check this out Thank you again
Hey Homie!!!! I broke the UA-cam iceberg … I put up a video of carving my first jack-o’-lantern with my sisters little gremlin. It’s a first milestone as an uncle… Also-- I love the Majora’s Mask - Termina ranch theme …. If that’s what I think it is ❤😂🎃🖤🧡💛 Also, this film, is one of my favorites … and that list consists of Titanic- I could provide a thesis as to why, Twister, Dante’s Peak, I recommend , Daylight 1994 with Sylvester Stallone. Dolore’s Claiborne - 1994 - Palm Springs 2020 - that ties with Silver Linings Playbook 2012 , as favorite writing and acting post 2000s. I’m sure I’ll be blowing up your comments in the future, until then my man 🎃
First I’m hearing of it and what timing you have! I was just pondering doing a found footage category because I’ve only seen the Blair witch and I said I wouldn’t watch another one again 🤣
@JJreactsTV I went through a whole phase where I was just wanting to watch ALL found footage movies, I think I might have too. Even if you don't watch it for the channel, it might be worth a watch when you're bored.
Great movie..my only issues are what d-bag would leave their dogs outside..your best resource ..tied up and defenseless no less🙄😡..n my grandparents had a coal shoot.. everyone knew where it was.😅...10/10 either way.👍🔥
Simply put..faith...how we can lose it and how we can find it again... There's been many interpretations of this movies' intent and perhaps it's up to each of us to determine that on our own... This is the first time you've been in my feed..I'll check out your channel playlist and sub to get a further impression of your reactions...God bless you and yours..you have a delicate heart... 🌿🌿🌿
I actually bought a suburban once that looked exactly like Ray Reddy's. Weirdly enough it had over 250,000 miles on it and I paid exactly $500 for it, all exactly as you described. I knew the owner, so I know it wasn't yours, but it's kind of weird how all of those parameters lined up.
The aliens are part of the plot, so they have everything to do with the movie. Family and Faith are themes. They have everything to do with the message. The best movies combine both. Interesting and entertaining premises with universal, human experience and condition, themes.
I just found your channel. I really enjoyed your reaction. I’ve already subscribed and saved a few more of your reactions to watch after this one. I love alien/space Sci-Fi, fantasy, etc movies. Please consider these… - Event Horizon - Mission to Mars - Red Planet - Alien franchise - Predator franchise - Lord of the Rings Trilogy Other popular and great movies to react to… - 300 - Gladiator - Constantine - Deep Blue Sea
Thank you for hanging out I appreciate it! These are actually a lot of recommendations i havent gotten yet. I might have to make a separate list for you alone
@ LOL. I really enjoy your reactions because I feel them to be sincere and real. I find it refreshing when dudes aren’t afraid to show feelings. My hubby is emotionally mature and will tear up when he is experiencing feelings that call for it. You’re also funny. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos. Continued luck with growing your channel.

It really has to a point where it turned me from a die hard fan into a borderline casual. I can never give up on it but the excitement has really gone away. I was really against Pierce being the head coach from an experience stand point. I felt like they should have gone after someone else and make him the D coordinator or assistant head coach. They always take one step forward and 3 steps back
Can you give an example of a good alien movie you like? I'm a Trekkie so I like that "aliens" are complex and like humankind there is not just one type of person. I also like the movie Aliens where there is more of an "animal" aspect. Predator is also great in that there is an horror aspect but there is a lot of action
This isn't a movie about aliens, it's a movie about getting you in the feels. Every. Single. Time. 😂😭

Thank you for the kind words and the suggestion...sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas for Its a Wonderful Life
I love this movie so much …I still get so scared each and every time! That conversation on the couch I feel like I’m between both groups .
"Is that Stan Lee?" 😂😂😂
That was the funniest thing he could have said bahahahhaha i burst out laughing
"were not okay...but were good" lololololol yup
Yes! I dont know where that came from but it stuck!
@@JJreactsTV it works, somehow someway lol happy Halloween!
I think you would really enjoy the movie Arrival.
Thank you for the recommendation, I am going to compile an “All Alien” playlist!
Seconded. Arrival is so phenomenal.
Make sure it’s Arrival with Amy Adams, not The Arrival 😛
Absolutely! Arrival is one of the top 5 movies I have ever seen.
There's also an alien film from the 90s called "the arrival" with Charlie Sheen, fun watch
If you want a serious movie about aliens, if you haven’t seen it already, please try Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Great movie. And yes, the little girl in this film is Olive from Little Miss Sunshine.
18:13 they are speaking Geonosian (Star Wars reference).

Lets all calm down and have some fruit...comedy LMAO thank you for chatting I appreciate it
Dark Skies is a great scary alien movie. It’s rated so much lower than I think it deserves.
Awesome thank you. Im still looking for that Alien Thriller…this could be the one!
This movie was filmed where I grew up and lived most of my life. 12:29
Wow good for you! It looks beautiful from what the show in the film

Cherry Jones,The Police Officer, was in Oceans 12,the perfect storm,Swimmers,Days and Nights the tv shows 24;Transparent. Plus a few more things
Arrival is a brilliant alien movie.
I am making an "alien attack!" playlist and this will be on it!
more incoherent than brilliant. It's entertaining if you don't think about it too much.
@@bryanb3352 It's okay if you didn't understand it. Not everyone likes to think 👍🏽✌🏽🖤
@angelagraves865 I know. Everyone thinks they're the only snart ones that get these mediocre nonsensical movies.

Not at all really. It was about everything but..

I wouldn't be too concerned about these aliens. They can't even escape from a pantry.
This is a great movie but I had nightmares for weeks after watching it the first time as a teenager 😆
It’s not Aliens but Split is another great M. Night movie.
