I’m seeing Christmas presents. They are beautiful
How much of the same Tolkien Books do you want and need? YES! =P
It's good that the sleeves can be purchased with buying every edition of the books.
I really dont like that they're not the same size....
Yeah what the hell
I like it
I could live with it if it was at least symmetrical, but it really triggers me that Hobbit and Silmarillion aren't the same heigth.
Deal breaker for my slight ocd
A shame because that last set I would have loved
If they made the silmarillion and the hobbit the same length they would be extremely thin

Oh, you know I did 😂 Call me the giveaway goblin haha
Not an instagram user. Would prefer some other method of entry.
The last covers are spectacular! The continued image across the fronts of the books took it to 11.
video request: a video about the wizard's staffs, such as where they get them, what they do etc.
Oh my goodness, they are beautiful!!!
We need a follow up to see where they sit in the collection. Might as well do a tour of the Nerd Cave while doing so 😀.
I am a HUGE LOTR fan. I have absolutely always wanted to read the books and now that I’m turning 30 this is the year!! Thank you for this video I’m interested and looking at what collection I want!
Oooooh...those book jackets are gorgeous!
Do I need another set of Tolkien books? No! Do I want one? …as much as second breakfast.
Hey NOTR, are you gonna get the Lego barad dúr? Since you did Lego Rivendell I’m wondering if you’ll do a video building this new lotr set?
Should be recording it sometime next week! :)
Sweet, can’t wait!!!
They're called dust jackets. Slipcovers are used with movies. Unless the terminology has changed in the last 20 years.
Video request: A dissection of that famous map of Middle Earth (perhaps a sequel with Beleriand?)
It's great to see you in these later unboxing videos Matt! You seem way more comfortable and relaxed on camera than when you first started. Keep it up man, we all love you! And in particlar we always love an extra NOTR video in a week!!🎉😊
I bought Unfinished Tails this week. Interesting reading. I'm enjoying parts of it so far!
Those are absolutely awesome!
Nice! I prefer unboxing swords over books but love anything Lord of the Rings.
The third set looked the best. ❤
I like both of the scenes of the third set. ❤
These companies really do milk Tolkien fans dry.
Don’t buy it
I'm a Tolkien fan and I've never been milked.
@@TheSuperTrickey your mom has been though
Beautiful!
I just started reading the Silmarillion for the first time. It's very interesting so far!
These are so beautiful!
Beautiful books. I think the last set with the foil is my favorite too.
These are so Nice! Thanks for the Awesome review and unboxing Nerd of the Rings!
Beautiful editions, brilliant unboxing - thank you! ❤
Awesome box set! Everyone I've met who's read the Silmarillion has said it's really hard to read. Nice cover protector variants too.
It is if you’re not use to reading and its kinda full with information, sometimes overwhelming for some…but it has such an epic content..personally i had a blast reading it
@@Tadzioreik Yeah I hear it's great, just a tough read the way it's written compared to the other LOTR books. I met a few folks who admitted it was too hard for them so they only got half way through or listened to the audio books haha. I think I'll give it a shot though!
Try the audio version! I think that will get you hooked! @@MKF30
It's written like the bible third person
@bucephalas67 Yeah and in that variant older English.
I personally like to put The Silmarillion before The Hobbit on my book shelf despite when they were written, etc. 🤷♀️
They are very lovely, so art deco.
By the way the idea behind Juniper is making nice looking covers for standard editions of books. So the only thing they make is the cover and when you by complete books from them its them putting their covers on standard hardbacks.
These are beautiful! Unfortunately, my wife takes the slip covers off of all of our hardcover books so my efforts would be for naught 😭
If you want a real laugh have a look at the cost of the jackets. Staggering!
I hope it arrives soon in my country if it depends on haper collins here it takes time to arrive in Brazil
Very cool 😎
Check out the Tolkien collection of books at Easton press also very high quality.
With over 120 different editions of Tolkien’s work, I’ll most likely buy these.
Why is the Silmarillion 5/5 when Ainulindalë is the beginning of all things? 🤓
This set looks awesome. As long as they keep releasing these, my money is as good as theirs LMAO
I love your channel
The different sizes is a curious choice... Not so sure about that...
Running out of space anyway and now you show me these! Oh no!!
Cool did you get the Lego Barad-Dûr?
Which version is it
Is the book by houghton mifflin?
Shouldn't Silarillion be a first book?
Osgiliath from the perspective of Gondor, Ithilien...
Question: Could Morgoth give the Balrog's back their body/form after they had been killed. Which is why we seem to see more Balrogs then Tolkien said there may have been.
Will u be building the LEGO barad dur?
This is information that my wallet just didn't need 😂😅. Only because we have 2-3 copies of each already including a box set. But they aren't uniform in size so idk if the covers will work. Either way I love it so much.
🔥
LEGO barad dur review pls
anyone know of any larger print editions still available?
I wish I could justify buying one of these. I already have too many copies of the books.
I'm guessing it's an American thing, cos here in the UK our books are uniform in size, height and width, so seeing the difference in height is just so odd.
When or will you do a Lego Barad dur review?
Planning to! Should be able to film it next week!
willl you buy lego baradur ?
Anyone have any recommendation on a gift for someone who lives for the tolkien universe?
Ya a girlfriend you nerd. Lol I'm just kidding. They have really detailed poster size maps of middle earth. With detailed accounts of all the different history happening in middle earth there absolutely beautiful and look great when framed or can put it inside a glass table like I did. Always interesting topics to talk about or learn with them
I was also going to tuft (make) my own rug of middle earth would look awsome in the middle of a living room
Cushion covers with different parts of maps on. Themed book ends. The one ring. Replica weapon or staff. Trip to Hobbiton if you are feeling generous.
Beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅
What if every living being in middle earth possessed a copy of the one ring at the same time?
White dust covers suck. The yellow and stain.
Schill of the rings. Glad you got a bunch of free stuff for lying about rings of power.
Nice to be the first comment!
Lovely looking cover's and nice you can buy the dust covers separately. However, they really do milk Tolkien fans and importantly, why on earth are the books different sizes. I could not stand it on a display book case as they would be on.
For a so-called nerd of the rings, your repeated calling of The Lord of the Rings a trilogy is frustrating - it’s not a trilogy.
I'm really surprised that with a series that's so majestic as Lord of the Rings or even The Silmarillion and The Hobbit that the book covers of nearly all the editions I've ever seen are so plain with no detail in the illustrations. I'd rather have the movie posters on the covers of the books rather than a few strokes of blue paint that are supposed to be mountains. Tolkien's works deserve better. For stories that are so creative and imaginative, the covers of the books couldn't be more stark and uninspired.
Among the buildings in the last set I see an alien's face and I can't unsee it.
