I know this is probably going to sound dumb, but I had to tell you. When I 1st saw this video I had to learn how to do it! And I did. It took me watching the video 2 or 3 times because I'm left handed and not right handed. That being said, I want you to know that I was 10 rows into my blanket when my son died. Very tragic. The night he died I croched for 18 hours. And then up until last week I never picked it up again. I started working on the blanket again and it's been a real inspiration. I felt like I totally forgot how to do the stitch again lol if it wasn't for your loving and kind teaching ability. I may never have picked up crocheting again.I just want you to know how much I love your teaching and the things that you make. Thank you .

You are one of the very few people who take the time to teach every step breaking it down and a lot of us are truly grateful for that. Especially that you go slowly and in depth. You are such a great teacher and your tutorials are so much fun! I’ve learned so much from you and I can’t wait to work on some more things this Coming year!

I am German, originally from the Palatinate, now living not too far from the border to Bavaria. I have been crocheting for 58 years now and, honestly, I must admit that I have never been more impressed with a tutorial! You're one in a million...
Thanks to the heavens, I learned English... so I could follow each very step on your beautiful piece of work.
Your humour in combination with a patience equal to Mahatma Ghandi is delicious!
I hope I can find the same yarn for that showpiece of yours at the beginning of your video.
I loved that one more than your tutorial piece. Is there a link to purchase it?
    Again, my compliment for this.
I subscribed within the first minute.

tip from my aunt who taught me as a girl - when chaining a row, put in a marker every 5 stitches (yarn scraps work well) That way, when counting back, you have a landmark to count off of. For larger projects, she would map out where the "target" stitches were, so she didn't have to count them backwards after she started working, and it made it easier to get under both loops of the chain.

Hi Fiber Spider. I really appreciate the slow enough pace, thorough, and patient crocheting so that we can see exactly where to place our hook for each stitch and yarn-over. The explanations as we go along are extra helpful. You display a great attitude for helping teach instead of acting like we already know what we're doing.

Because of covid and a good friend who stopped laughing long enough to correct my comedy-gold-level errors, I achieved the lifelong goal of learning to crochet a year ago in May. I have yet to really use any of my dudes tutorials to practice a new stitch, but I can’t stop watching because my dude amazes me. No fear of failure, no fear of committing to complex and massive undertakings. No backing down from stitch patterns that require loads of accurate counting or vast lengths of yarn or color changes. I know it’s just string, but I declare this man brave. Crocheters understand.

Your tutorial is amazing! I have definitely subscribed to your channel and I also selected the Bell and touched all of your videos. It's late and it's time for bed but I'm going to turn on this tutorial so that I can listen to your calming voice. Well, Fiber Spider, I've said it all before, thank you so much for all your crochet tutorials, you make many people so happy with it, especially the way you present it and the loud and clear explanations. With you as a teacher, everybody can crocheting. Byebye, hugs and greets from the Netherlands🇳🇱

I've had so much trouble with this stitch in the past. Love your attention to detail & encouragement. You're a great teacher! Thank you so much! I'd given up on numerous occasions with other teachers, but thought I'd give your tutorial a try because I really want to accomplish this. I'm glad I did. You're wonderful! Thanks so much!

Can't wait to start this one...love all your tutorials! Have done a few. I also do both crochet and knitting. Learned how to crochet when I was 7 years old and knitting just a little later. (Portuguese style)

You are an excellent instructor! I have memory problems, so it's awesome that you demonstrate vs saying "repeat" etc like others do! I love that you show each stitch, so calmly and patiently! You are appreciated! Thanks for a fantastic lesson!

You are the perfect teacher!! Your soft voice and the way you take time to SLOWLY work a piece to show those of us newbies how it's done truly gives hope that we will be able to learn the pattern you are teaching.
I for one can't begin to thank you enough for caring to bother to do this. Your an absolute Angel and I'm so grateful to have liked a pattern of yours to want to learn more. Wish I had had a teacher like you next door when I first started to crochet...then let it lay for too many years.. Now there's so many things I'd like to do for my grandkids but I'm not getting any younger lol. Hopefully I'll master a couple of your beautiful patterns to be able to send those to them one day.

Yes! I saw this tip on another channel, just the other day. I did that, and i made my initial row SO much neater looking and easier to do, actually. That initial row is always such a mess for me , so I think this will make a big difference in future work.

I can do this! Best crocheting teacher EVER! You explain clearly. You demonstrate slowly and completely. In spots that might be confusing, you show us and tell us what Not to do at that point. Without your video instructions, I would never dare to try this pattern. But I love it! And with Fiber Spider- I can do it. You're the best!!!

Thank you so much, I started years ago to make a Bavarian Blanket and I got bored, because to change every second row with a new color, this was to much for me. How do you make a Bavarian Square Blanket? Could I use this Blanket as a Lapblanket for my Mother ( she is 88 years old) in Germany, and she is always cold..............Again thank you so much When I hear your voice it calms me down and I know I can do it...................Great job.

Love how soothing and calm he speaks and isn’t going too fast Or Too slow bc that messes me up too! I’m excited to try this… I’ve just immersed myself into knitting and crocheting thanks to YT. Since my gma died and my mom doesn’t know how.. this is the best alternative & I won’t make the mistake with my 3 kids! All daughters too🤭 I’ll pass on the knowledge from this gentleman. I’m late IK but Ty so much for taking the time to teach, post and share🥰🙌🏽👍🏽
