Barrowford A walk of discovery.

Barrowford was an important textile centre, with mills powered by water.
Before this, handloom weavers beavered away and some of their cottages are thankfully still a feature of the present village with many now converted into independent boutiques. Local artist exhibits their work at Pendle Heritage Centre and work from studios in Higherford Mill.
There is a lot to discover in Barrowford it is one of Lancashire's hidden gems.

Barrowford is steeped in history..it is where the Pendle witches started there long walk to Lancaster castle to face persecution 😔
