My sure name is Dent, from Georgia U.S.A. Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
Nice video, thank you. I was there from 1978-84, before it became a tourist town. There were a few shops then. The "G" was not silent when I was there: Sedberg.
Glad you like the video. I will keep the "g" silent next time.
@@kingallison3880 Sedberg, like iceberg.
Imagine the amount electricity that could be garnered from that if there was a turbine there .
Glad you like the view.
The scenary kind of reminds of the walkers wood area in St Ann before you get to the Fern gully .
Really do enjoy your videos. Please make more !!!! Oswego NY USA
Thank you! Will do!
Hope you enjoy this video, comment, like and subscribe for more scenic drives. What is your favourite drive in the north of England?
God's own country indeed.
Used to vist Roughlee trout fishery when I would pick up my loads of steel at Blackburn. Would park my trailer at Blackburn and take my unit over from Barrowfield. The Stricklenys owned the fishery at the time. Little time a go we were on a cruise in the Carriebean got taking to a couple who were no the same ship turned out they were from Roughlee. Small world. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Kingsley. I Lived on Alston moor for over 20 years, and did this route regular, going back and forth to Sheffield, in all weathers it was great, once you got off the motorway and the A66, it was a joy to be driving. Thanks fella.
Hope to see more videos soon. Quite enjoyable. Thank You.
betwixt hill and dale, a golden river flows and ebbs on the spring winds. - behold - the summer approacheth.
love Dent..not been in the church but suspect Mr Sill was involved in the slave trade!
I used to live at Millthrop Mill, Sedbergh. Old stomping grounds and fond memories in Dent.
Sedbergh, Yorkshire, still. Let's be accurate.
Lovely drive with interesting spots to visit. Delightful. Thank You.
Love the channel. Thank You for your hard work and great content
👍👍👍❗
Wetherby has so many interesting places. The gardens are well kept. I really enjoyed this video. Good job.
Lovely film of a village I'm lucky enough to call home. Thanks for sharing this.
Kingsley, I do enjoy these drives through scenic England. I think you could make them even more interesting by showing some of the scenery around about, and not just the road ahead. Don't ask me how you are supposed to do that (I sound like a politician criticising but offering no solution!!) as I haven't ever filmed anything, but you might think of a solution. Maybe a camera attachment on the side of the car door? anyhow, don't let me detract you - I enjoy the drive. Looking forward to the next.
Thanks for your feedback/comments I will incorporate more side scenery in upcoming driving videos.
Did you visit Dent Station while you were in the area Kingsley? It's actually around 15 minutes drive along the road, and is the highest mainline railway station in England...It is on the Settle to Carlisle line.
I have been before but on this trip
What is Snouwe ?

Sure thats the cafe my mum took me in when I was a teenager at baliol boarding school late 60s they had a jukebox and my step dad put Get back by the Beatles on and I eat my fave Bangers Chips n Egg.
I miss driving through the UK. I hope 2024 will see us again setting off to find hidden places.
It's a silent "G" in Sedbergh Kingsley. It's pronounced as it it were spelt Sedber.

Kingsley, the "G" in Sedbergh is silent. It's pronounced as if it were spelt Sedbur......... Sedbergh is a famous book town, and also has one of the oldest private boarding schools, founded in the 1500's.....

Nice look around Sedbergh. A couple of points from a 'lifetime local'. Sedbergh formed it's book town persona well before the Covid pandemic and we 'in't 'ills' call the town 'Sed-burra'.
