What a lovely video for your final 2024 trip. The autumn colours were beautiful, I love the sound of the leaves under foot when out walking at this time of year. Hello Janet, Gail was so nervous at the woodland entrance she couldn’t remember how to switch the phone torch on 🫣. Really enjoyed watching tonight video, Burrs is only 8 miles away from us we have been and stayed a few times at the beginning of the season to check everything is working well. Summer seat garden centre is very nice, good friendly staff and a brilliant cafe, great breakfast. Yes, we’ve found you the perfect site Pete and Su 👍. A steam train went by as we were setting up on the Sunday 🚂 as did several diesels. We loved it there and appreciated it not being too busy. It’s in a great location. Market really did have the wow factor but my attempts to pursued Gail to try the GF black or white pudding failed miserably 😂. She didn’t miss out though as there’s always a stash of goodies in her locker 🍰 We’re usually back out in February but meanwhile take care and happy planning for your 2025 travels. @ it was Salford about 10 miles south, only went to Bury a couple of times (Chesterfield football matches) and around 20 years ago for an off roading motorbike day before I got my licence

Lovely to hear from you both Melanie and Adrian. We had a brilliant time and it was the perfect destination for our final trip of the year 👍. Hope we did your area proud. We were amazed how many folk were walking their dogs on Holcombe Hill, very friendly they were too as were the market stall holders. Thank you Roland. Gail says her artwork is never going to win any awards so she won’t be giving up her day job anytime soon 😂 . I don’t know what we were thinking, we should never have filmed the set up and site tour before heading off towards the horizon. Good job there was an alternative route back. What weekend were your the rob, we were booked for the weekend of November 8 but changed it to Ludlow , another fantastic site

@ it was Salford about 10 miles south, only went to Bury a couple of times (Chesterfield football matches) and around 20 years ago for an off roading motorbike day before I got my licence

We have just returned ourselves from a quiet and very cold hawes, like you it could be our last outing of 2024.

PS do you have any tips regarding external waste pipes as ours on our trip froze under the van so waste water couldn't escape? Thankfully, they defrosted phew 😮

Not very often you find a quiet club site is it. We didn’t mind in the least and enjoyed our open view. We really enjoyed our last holiday of the year and we did well with the weather again.
The market was amazing 👍 and so was the Manchester Tart 😋
Hope you had a good time in Hawes. We’re guessing you were there in the snow ⛄️
Never had the waste pipes freeze. I would probably pour hot water down the plug holes 🤔.
