Dude, love your work. Quick tip for avoiding masking bleed. Hit it with a clear varnish first. This fills the tiny gaps and means you get crispy lines from the colour you apply afterwards. Try it!
I love your video's and the step by step. Can you list the colors used in the description so I don't have to hunt through the video or pause to read the color and color code on your bottles please? Keep up the great work!
I am just getting into painting models and your videos are so inspirational. I am not that great and still need a lot of practice, but with these I can learn more painting techniques.
great job as always. 5:15 while using a tape, you first need to use the background color first so it fills the small gaps, then the main color. but in your case it is a transparent resin so nothing to do xD
I want to congratulate you for this wonderful work, and you have given me new ideas to start painting my models, keep uploading more content and you now have a new subscriber.
I was wondering if you could recommend a method for achieving an antique, forged, worn look for 3D prints to appear as gold or some other metal. I have seen the hammer forged Rustoleum products but wondered if there was a more painterly way of approaching that. Thanks.
If you want to prevent the “bleed” that makes it under masking tape, you need to paint first with the color that is under the tape, as only the first coat bleeds. So if you are trying to mask a clear part, spray a varnish before you spray your color.
Ahhh! word box my old friend! I find the way you frame the words so endearing! The subject of the words matters so little, yet you bring them to life for Brent.
nice looks awesome I paint houses and allot of people came up withy the same answer that they wont even use tape any more if u remove the tape when the paint is wet the paint wont get stuck and u don't have to sand it maybe it will help I know its super difficult with small object but maybe save u some time in the future
The purple basecoat for skin tones works because of color theory. Skin tones are generally orange and yellow, which are opposite purple on the color wheel. Therefore when you mix the two (whether literally or visually), you get brown. The heavier the purple leans into red (the purple used was very pinkish), then the more red will be in the resulting brown tone. I do something similar when I'm painting skeletons/bones, because the purple in the deep recesses ends up looking brown.
In "painting" skin using 3D paint programs like Substance Painter, you also take into account the subsurface scatter, which is reddish and blueish, which is pinkish. And painting cars sometimes you use a contrasting underpaint,to make the topcoat "pop".
Great work!! This along with the Storm video you posted a few weeks ago really inspire me to get myself these figures!! Would you kindly point me in the right direction for your video on the settings you use for your airbrush and what kind of consistencies/thinning materials you use?
I like this because there is a great print and paint job, but you pointed out imperfections that most people, especially new people like me to painting, might flip out about n not know what to do ... but thatd good ... i have had tiny arms break when its been characters like Sonic & Tails ... By the way, what is a good slicer to cut parts off easily .... also I like I believe chitubox, because i can deselect support areas..
A tip i have found is to use a paint brush to apply a thin layer of resin to the parts you want to bond then hit it with a uv flashlight. I found for me it worked better than supper glue.
Hi, congratulations on the beautiful figure you were building. I'm just starting out with the 3D printer. I've heard that there are problems gluing the resin parts together, that the glues don't hold well or even come off. What glue were you using in the video?? And what is that spray you used immediately afterwards on gluing? Thank you.
What resin did you use to print this? I'm pretty new to 3d printing I have a Saturn 3 and started out with elegoo 8k, It looks good but with how long it takes to print sometimes I get models warping halfway through. I've also looked up videos comparing 8k and abs like resins and there really doesn't seem to be much difference at all.
I watched this recording first so feel it only right to leave my comment here. I have just spent the last few days watching (nearly all) from the beginning. Out of all the recordings this one and silk made me want want to purchase and paint. (Also MJ but that might just be the wanting what you can't have effect). You made it look so straight forward. I have one question... How do you get around gaps if you are using magnets and shipping?
I’d like to know if there’s a specific type of 3D printer I need to purchase that can print with that much detail? The clothing textures are mind blowing.
Sorry to bother you with an off-topic question...but... Trying to repair a base for a 1/4 scale Spider-Gwen and the only way to get it to fit on my printer was to put the top down. It is rough and some issues with the print left large area in questioned. I'm thinking of using the hot glue gun to affix styrene to the four sides to keep a sharper edge. What would you suggest to work on the top?
I have discovered that to get the most crisp lines with maskin tape, I do as follow: Paint the whole thing in Color A Mask everything that needs to stay in Color A Paint again with Color A, let it dry Paint with color B While Color B is still wet´ish peel of the tape By painting med with color A right after taping, manu of the gaps between the model and masking tape is closed with Color A, allowing Color B to stay more where it should. I do not know if this already is how you do it, it might be the way the video was clipped, I just wanted to let you know.
If you’ll spray the tape with intercoat clear before your color, you will have perfect, crisp tape lines. It works on automotive paints so I’m sure it works with those paints.
That green is perfect. No matter how many times Marvel changes Rogue's costume, this will forever be the best design they ever gave her.
I totally agree
Completely agree. Absolutely killed nailed it with the paint too!
I totally agree (2) Rogue 90 > all
Savage Rogue has the best costume.

that was an awesome video. the fact that it's gambit's power makes the figure really unique. amazing dude, keep making videos
I am just getting into painting models and your videos are so inspirational. I am not that great and still need a lot of practice, but with these I can learn more painting techniques.
The paintjob looks absolutely stellar dude.
Amazing figurine.
Would love to do it myself but i dont steady hands.
What resin printer do you recommend? That is some beautiful detail in her leather coat and body suit
great job as always. 5:15 while using a tape, you first need to use the background color first so it fills the small gaps, then the main color. but in your case it is a transparent resin so nothing to do xD

This is just ridiculous. Cant believe how gifted and creative some people are. Hats of
This has got to be one of the best paint jobs I have ever seen. The green layering you did was ON POINT!!!💯 (new subscriber here)
You are simply talented. This is not for everyone to match
This WORK WAS PERFECT.
Hulk. 17 min- no way. What size/type of paint brush was that? Also what type of air brush, and how often do you have to clean/change the tip? Thanks!
I just noticed that there are reliefs on base_1 for road traffic stripes, like in the middle of the road.
the Citadel black seems to always gets you off to a great start on laying paint on top of print.. Cause dam that first coat looks great..
amazing, found you today and keep watching your stuff learning how to do skin. question, what is this activator stuff you are spraying here? at 0:28

The commentary is stellar!
Your a modern day Bob Ross!! You make painting look effortless, I love the content!
Wow! The texture on the leather is sweet.
Great job . Thanks for making this video!
I believe if you heat the supports they are easier to remove, or remove em before curing.
They are but I generally don’t have any issues getting them off I’m most cases. When I do struggle I Chuck them in warm water first
Awesome model and awesome paintjob! Love the green
I usually just skip parts of this kind of videos and watch the end but you somehow kept me watching through the whole thing man great job
Glad you enjoyed it

Would love to see a video of your printing process on this model. Well-done cheers
she looks amazing, great work dude
Taking the masking tape off while wet is a must. Amazing job!
This was super satisfying to watch, great work! Definitely subscribed!
Wow, that was an amazing print, Jim Lee style, bravo!
The yellow tip was AWESOME
she looks amazing 😍
Amusing video including the introduction of the word "pinkle," and outstanding work.

I wonder if that is because there is blue/red/purple under actual skin...🤔
Looks fantastic, well done
Thank you!
Dude, she looks fantastic!! Great work! 👍🏻 Also, your commentary is entertaining. 🙂
Great work!! This along with the Storm video you posted a few weeks ago really inspire me to get myself these figures!!
Would you kindly point me in the right direction for your video on the settings you use for your airbrush and what kind of consistencies/thinning materials you use?
I kinda have that info sprinkles across all my videos. Maybe one day I’ll do one just on my airbrush and how I use it.
Ya did damn good. Not something I have the talent for but can appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to make something like this.
I like this because there is a great print and paint job, but you pointed out imperfections that most people, especially new people like me to painting, might flip out about n not know what to do ... but thatd good ... i have had tiny arms break when its been characters like Sonic & Tails ...

What is that spray you use to set the super glue?
It’s a ca accelerator
That is so rich looking you did a fantastic job. I wish I had that kind of talent. Just wondering if you painted on commission thank you Jim.
Is that corasel black primer or just straight black no primer?
Citadel chaos black
Amazing work. Which 3D printer did you use?
It's a resin printer. Fake ass mf tried to pass it off as pla
Great job

Love your commentary, great painting skills!!
From this I can see you know more than me but regarding masking, do you take the tape off while the paint is still wet? Get crisper lines that way
LOL then I keep watching and indeed you do lol
Haha yep
Awesome paintjob!
Fantastic figure. Looks as good as it can be. I cant believe it came out of a normal 3d printer.
I know, right?

Damn bro. Thank you.
That velvet green looks amazing!
The green looks awesome.
The color really brings back the 90's vibe.
I am curious as to how this was printed, mainly it's orientation and supports. Seeing I am still a newbie lol
I have made videos on this. Check further back my video list
That's a great looking sculpt, so happy I signed up to CA 3D studio's Patreon. Nice work on the paint job too, the base turned out fine ;)
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome video would you mind sharing what you use for the airbrush? My setup is a pita to use
Jim Lee pencils and Scott Williams colours are the X-MEN.

great video I never knew painting needs so much layering. Your are a great artist

Nicely done. A true artist.
I AM SO HAPPY SEEING YOUR CHANNEL. REALLY AMAZING.
Love the way you get the colours to blend so well and as for Pinkle 😂
Pinkle for president!!
Loves the green!!!!
would that pinkle work only for airbrush or does it work for drybrush too?
Im not sure if you have already addressed this in another video or comment. What brand of paint organizers stands are those?
I’d like to know if there’s a specific type of 3D printer I need to purchase that can print with that much detail? The clothing textures are mind blowing.
Most recent resin machines will do this level of detail. I used Uniformation gk2 for this model
@@Groundeffected thank you so much!

Another great vid Dad . Loving the new colour pinkle . WHo makes that ?
Vallejo makes that one I used. Totally should get my own colour set at this rate.
That’s freaking dope. Nice job.
You are so good. She looks perfect.
What metallic paint did you use for the base to block the light bleed from the LEDs?
Just a “chrome” spray paint from the hardware store
Brilliant work, I appreciate it
Glad you liked it!

Bloody amazing skills you got there matey
Ok, you got a fan. Great work.
You truly are a master artist
If you had to sand back say the texture on her chest because of a print line, how would you go about putting that texture back on?
Hands of a friggin' surgeon.
Great work. Came up a treat
Thank you!
Can you share your fdm support settings? Do u use cura, lychee or a different slicer?
Does your prints have support scars? And if not how do you not get support scars left on prints?
You work very professional and unique, you are really perfect
How can y print a transparent decals? I need something for diecast. Thanks
Wow stunning work!!!!
Thank you!
looks awesome, nice one. ask, though, whys she got gambit eyes and card?
She obvs just took his power to do some damage for some reason dude
