As a kid, my parents took me and my brothers to JesusFest in Ontario Canada. I was able to see Randy Stonehill, Larry Norman, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Keith Green. I grew up with all their albums in my teen years. These songs bring back good memories.
Brings back the hope and joy of my first year as a Christian, starting a few months after this album was released. I had the pleasure of lighting a Randy S. show in the mid 80's, he was a great guy.
An old friend. I remember sitting in my living room working out parts to this song. With Karen and Craig. Randy will remember these days. Keep me Runnin. Oh yea. That too. Crazy. This record still rocks.
I actually did not hear this song and the whole album until years after it was released. Along with Love Song, Welcome to Paradise, is a landmark album of the 70’s Jesus Music era.
Randy did so many great albums, yet in my humble opinion, this was his best. Maybe because of the time in my life when it came out. Just outstanding from beginning to end.
I used to sing this song in the late 1970s and used it as an audition song to get into the 1980 line up of a touring Youth-for Christ gospel band called Certain Sounds in NZ. Always loved Randy’s gentle country rock sound. I think he was into the Eagles big time.
Everyone's a homeless child and it's not hard to understand we need our father's hand. Brilliant words to remember. I can still remember when this album first came out and I ran to the local Christian music store to buy it. So glad I did. I still listen to Randy's music, 40 years later. Praise God for his Presbyterian faith heritage.
Lyrics for King of Hearts: All alone drifting wild Like a ship that's lost out on the ocean Everyone's a homeless child And it's not hard to understand Why we need a Father's hand There's a rainbow somewhere You were born to be there You're just running in circles Till you reach out your hand to the King of hearts. Pockets full of pain and fear That's a load there's just no need to carry Let it go and leave it here Now there's no price that's left to pay With one more mile or one more day There's a rainbow somewhere You were born to be there You're just running in circles Till you reach out your hand to the King of hearts. You can try to catch the wind But in the end you're only Wasting precious time Life can really be so kind Once you find the truth and follow, go on follow, go on follow There's a rainbow somewhere You were born to be there You're just running in circles Till you reach out your hand Till you reach out your hand Till you reach out your hand to the King of hearts There's a rainbow somewhere ( Repeated at least 10 times)

Was that Jesus 79? I was there at Courtcliff (sp?) Park. Honeytree was there too? I was 16 then and only saved a few months.
Yep, great memories! Jesus Rocky Mountain was my gig
Awesome days and music.
Best times!!
I was at Jesus West Coast, I think Napa Sonoma area. 1979/1980!?!
The finest Christian writer and singer of the last 50 years. God bless you as he has blessed us thru you.

And Phil Keaggy
Thank you, it has gotten me through high school and beyond and now getting me through once again at age 55.
Randy's music helped my walk be more sure in my 'infancy'. I Love him, in Him, still.
Getting in touch with this old music again...wow, takes me back. There was just something so authentic about this music.

My favorite Christian artist of all time! I was privileged to attend his concert once in Fort Lauderdale
Involved with the navigators in DAvis California in 1980 this was one of my favorite songs back then.

So beautiful so real……His love is our strength
So awesome.
This song is so beautiful.
Randy Stonehill should have had better marketing in order to reach more people.
Glory to God none the less.
Totally agree. Just beautiful.
Love love this album!!! ❤️🤍

Such a trip down memory lane!
Praise Jesus!!
Still one of my favorite artist
So good! Rediscovering all the good ole artists!
totally agree by far the best
I wish his first two albums were available on CD, they were the best ones.
You can get them on Randy's Bandcamp page and burn a cd. Larry Norman released them both on CD through Solid Rock, but they're not common to find.
saw him with Larry and others at festival
If you lije this check out Randy Stonehill's Welcome to Paradise. One if the best albums ever. I think Larry Norman produced it.
❤🙏
He was per Keith Green for me
We saw both Randy Stonehill and Keith Green in separate concerts around LA probably 1976. Excellent concerts and pretty sure the concerts were free.

Not surprised, both had a heart for the lost, Christian music sure has come a long way
Can anyone tell the artist name and work of the image of Christ on his tshirt? I love it and want to find it.
Still have the LP. Cant find it digital
Randy just released his catalog including this album on Bandcamp :)
