I too miss Keith Green, but I like Randy. The first time I ever heard him, I was prompted to get onto an airplane and fly from Winnipeg Canada to LA- and wound up at a Sweet Comfort Band and Randy Stonehill concert at Knott's Berry Farm sometime in the early eighties- I had just become a born-again Christian, so you can imagine my excitement. Thanks, Randy. Next I hope I hear him play: Shut De Do.
I truly consider this man to be the greatest Christian songwriter of our time. For me, he is up there with Bob Dylan and John Lennon. His storytelling ability through song is unmatched and his influence on Christian music is monumental. I thank God for this man's life.
Yes. This man is a true blessing from God. I had a chance to see him in concert about 10 years ago, but sadly, I couldn't make the venue, as I was down with the flu. Randy is AWESOME! My absolute fav song of his is "King of Hearts", from his album: Welcome to Paradise. If you listen to that song very carefully, you can hear a mom shouting at her kids in the background: "GO TO BED!" The album was partly recorded in his living room... although most of the tracks were done in the studio. FWIW: "King of Hearts" is classified as soft rock...
I wonder how many in the audience realized that in front of them was about the ELDEST of the elder statesmen of Contemporary Christian music. I just stumbled upon this video, and I DID NOT REALIZE that (as of just 5 years ago) RANDY STONEHILL was/is still out there performing for Jesus. I didn't know. And I feel right now as if the Lord is saying if RANDY is still out there, then brother, you can make it, too. The very fact that this is true has me quietly weeping tears of joy and wonder.
Remember seeing and meeting Randy in Sydney back 1979. He was so powerful with his guitar and vocals. He had long hair and was so,so friendly. He presented a great Gospel message through his singing etc.
Wow, what a wonderful find! I was thinking recently about what Randy is doing these days! His songs have been so influential to my Christian walk, and I cannot thank him enough for his heart!
Sounds so great...been so many years since I have heard this mellifluous voice. How these songs shaped my youth and drew me closer to our precious Savior.
Happy Birthday to Me 🎉 A few years ago 🤣🤣🤣 Our Holy Mother Mary who was created and chosen by God Almighty for being the Ark of the Covenant and carrying Our Lord Jesus Christ into the world, for the likes of you and me 🙏. Our Holy Momma wears Combat Boots and She's going to Crush the snake's head, and all the poop that goes with it. What a High honor to be given this task, but She is Queen Mother 🙏 Don't mess with Queen Mother Mary when it comes to Her Son, and Lord, Jesus Christ 🙏 VIVA CRISTO REY 💪🙏
friend, there is no other name under Heaven by which we can be saved. No, not Mary.. Jesus Christ. When informed his mother and brothers were outside, what did Jesus say? "Throw the palm fronds and give my blessed mother her due." No, what He said with a sweeping gesture to include the crowd before Him: "here are my mother and brothers." Don't be fooled- Jesus IS God. God the Son.. give Him His due.
While you are on this channel please find & watch documentaries on Keith's Life. Here is why I say that: Keith was best friends with the group members of the 2nd Chapter of Acts, and Randy Stonehill Matthew. "I would have to say, if it wasn't for the loving & giving heart of Keith Green, I probably would not have become a believer and remained "the course" even through today. I led my brother to the Lord and he and I have led nearly 25 members of our extended family to Christ. I even have two boys who have become full-time ministers of the Gospel of Christ. (Keith would be proud) I have studied under many significant ministries, leaders, preachers, churches, in several denominations, but, sad to say, I have had to renounce many their influences from my life for many of them have fallen away from Christ Himself and His solid and simple teachings. Keith Green was that prophet that had caused myself and many to be single-focused in my walk with Christ and to seek to be planted in quality soil in order to produce fruit."
"you can walk into church and it doesn't make you a Christian anymore than walking into McDonalds makes you a hamburger". Love that guy.. I so looked forward to my copy of Last Days Newsletter.
