Can even continue if he dies of old age or whatever but NGL I’ve gotten so used to Matpat that it annoys me when I click he’s videos and it’s someone else and not him so I don’t watch it
A few corrections and thing that weren’t mentioned:
-All of the characters from JD2023 have their name in the coach selection screen
-There’s more info about JD characters and motivations in the avatar’s description in the same game
-You can see The Bride and Rasputin flirting in the background of Last Friday Night (JD2022) and you can see the Traveler too
Also when he mentioned Everybody Needs Somebody being from Just Dance 4, he showed Just Dance 2014 in the bottom left corner

Fun fact: The dancers in Just Dance weren’t edited to have such pale skin, they put on hours worth of makeup every day and later on they’d edit the footage to add the glowing effect!
You’re right but in the beginning of just dance 1-2 they were edited. Then later on they were put with white powder. Then on 2019, they started wearing white suits.
As a dancer, I resonate with the intro on another level. I can do the dances full out perfectly, yet my sister still wins standing in place and flicking the remote

i was so into the just dance games as a kid. I got 2023 recently just for the nostalgia of it after not playing since 4 on the wii. the characters and story with the different levels absolutely blew me away and i'm glad to see a theory video on it.

Dan officially took over the Theories. In the same week, he voiced videos for Game Theory, Film Theory and Food Theory. Only Style Theory was left alone, mainly due to live-action scenes, where MatPat is required.

9:44 Idk if someone already said this but the "nu ma nu ma nu ma iei" is more accurately translated to "you wont take me" in a way where the boyfriend is asking for his girlfriend to take her with him- the whole "Vrei sa pleci dar nu ma nu ma ei" part is basically translated into "you want to leave but you wont take me with you"

It's nice to have a lore theory which turns out that the main point of the whole journey it's to have fun playing the game and don't letting the competitive thoughts corrupts your mind to the point that your only objective becomes playing flawless and better than anyone else.

This feels like that gorilla perception test, where we are just so focused on the thing that we are told to focus on(the dancer and actively matching thrm) while there is something extremely noticeable, abnormal or unique (the lore in this case). I love it and I'm glad they are actually going headfirst into this with the loremaster. Honestly kinda elevates the game

My only issue with this theory, and it’s a small one, is Dan emphasizes how some songs are similar to their music videos, but doesn’t mention that Toxic turns from a flight attendant to a heist/agent theme in Britney Spears’ original video. It wasn’t just a random theme that was out of place, that leads to Just Dance lore.

Honestly I just like how the lore for this game isnt secretly revealing how its a dark and twisted story that turns the whole fun gameplay into secret, grimdark horror
But instead a reminder that friends shouldnt focus on just winning when gaming, but also make sure they have fun
Just one thing, all the characters have cosrispeonding gloves… Also, on the old ones, you can barley see their faces, already creepy enough, but when you do, their mouths open as if they are SCREAMING when they arnt even singing. Just an idea.
This made me watch all the mentioned songs and the whole story mode. I wasn't expecting a girl to be blessed by a panda, a villain redemption arc, and so many dance styles. I also watched "We Don't Talk About Bruno" because I saw through this that it existed and I was interested in how they would have it work considering how inconsistent the amount of singers is. I wasn't surprised but I still felt cheated when it was a solo dance in which you play Mirabel as she hears everything and reacts to it.
I’ve play a decent amount of just dance. And I always noticed the repeated coaches across games and songs. It’s so cool that it might be because of lore!

We need a SCP-3008 video!!! SCP is a video game of multiple versions and on different platforms. It’s about being trapped in an infinite IKEA and attempting survival inside. There’s different games, UA-cam channels and websites of information about SCP-3008 and I would absolutely LOVE a game about this!

From coaches having names, to backgrounds referencing older songs, a lot to pack in, but still interesting nonetheless.

I thought the lore here was gonna be stupid but it’s honestly kinda heartwarming. The devs just want you have fun and not stress yourself out!
I personally liked dance central a lot more because of the fact it didn’t shy away from that perfection aspect. It knew what it was and it taught me how to dance. Like actually dance. Even at the end it gives you an opportunity to show off your moves and I adore that. Because the end of the series was all about learning the moves through the ages and seeing how music and dancing has grown. I loved it. It’s a shame just dance was more popular in my opinion dance central had an easier timeline to follow

Just dance is easier to cheese 😅 Just shake the controller sitting at the right times! It always annoyed me when my friends won that way when they were too tired to dance, or how they could win without using doing the full dance just the arm movements😭I be busting some moves and they win not even doing the dance right smh

I'm romanian and i just wanted to give you guys a better translation for "Dragoatea din tei".
"Haiduc" is more like a vagabond, not really sitting in one place and wondering everywhere.
Also the full lyric is "Vrei să pleci dar nu mă, nu mă iei", translated roughly to: "you want to leave but you won't, won't take me".
It's a love song about the guy telling a girl how much he loves her but she isn't reciprocating, since she wants to leave him.
I hope this helped to better understand the song.
