Video is just out of this world.🤩 Planing our trip there in the middle of October. Can't wait to see all the beauty with my own eyes and get lots of adventurous fun
Excellent video! I am going to Zion NP for the first time in a few days, and your video was the perfect overview that I was looking for on how the park is organized and some of the trails I've heard of. I'm staying in Glendale, which is a distance away, so based on your video I'll be planning to visit the East Zion area. Thank you!
I just got back from my Nevada/Utah trip. Love your videos. I think you should add more info. about the Zion Mount Carmel tunnel. Although it was daylight, the tunnel is very dark inside and you are supposed to take your sunglasses off and turn your headlights on. My sunglasses were prescription sunglasses and we only passed 2 other cars, so you have to rely on reflectors - there are no lights inside. The parking to the right immediately after the tunnel is for compact cars only. We got lucky and got 1 of the 5 spots after the compact parking on the left side of the road. Another warning - a local told us that it is rare, but sometimes deer go inside, so I would be very cautious.
Thank you so much for this informative video. I’m planning a National Parks trip and wanted to do a photo/video journal. Would you be able to share what time of camera you used on this video?
This video was so fantastic! As a southern Utah native, you definitely did this beautiful desert paradise justice! Thank you for showing some of the beautiful cacti and wildlife! One little thing, just so you know Mount Carmel is pronounced (Car-Mel), it’s a Spanish word meaning golden brown. Thank you so much for making this great video!
We just went - Do not under any circumstances stay at the Zion Lodge inside the park. It is disgusting, old, poor service, no internet and literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in any part of the world. We stayed in 3 different rooms. All had such dirty floors we just threw our socks away. Air Conditioner was noisy as anything, mouldy, stinky and blew directly on the bed. Bathrooms filthy. Microwave oven filthy. Terrible customer service when we needed to make an emergency phone call - they told us to go to nearest town as there was no cellular signal or working wifi. FYI the wifi is never working apparently. Beds soft and mattresses so old you just can't believe they are still in use. I would rather stay in a cheap motel than this $250 a night nightmare. Don't be fooled by the location - rather shuttle in.
It’s hit and miss! We once visited at the end of February and had lovely weather (sunny with average temp of 20C / 70F). It was very quiet too. But we also heard that sometimes there’s snow that time of the year and trails like Angel’s landing might be slippery
Good explanatory video I just don’t understand the hype around Zion in general. The scenery is super bland to me. Angel’s Landing is overrated, the Narrows are kind of cool. Other than Joshua Tree every other major Park I have been to pretty much shits on Zion. Yosemite, Olympic, Glacier, Grand Tetons, Redwoods, Sequoia, Yellowstone etc.. all way more scenic. Don’t envision myself ever taking the time to go to Zion again with those others out there but I guess everyone has different taste.
Thank you Randall
Brilliant cinematography my friend, shots and narration fits brilliantly here. Bravo 👏
Thank you! ☺️

This is helpful… hubby and I are going in March. Thank you for the information!
Great video, why haven't you talked about the various tribes in the park? The Dead Horses and Sorrows offer great welcomes.

"I have been baptized twice, once in water, once in flame”.
The fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me

Thank you for the kind words! appreciate it! And good to know, even as an American it's sometimes hard to pronounce all names correctly! 😀
❤❤❤
Sound design in the beginning 😂😂😂
My hands were sweating profusely every time you stepped onto those rock ledges and edges. I could not finish the video because of my anxiety.
Haha! It is a little scary in some places, but definitely worth it! 😉
When did you go when the Narrows was closed?
That was last year at the beginning of June.
Me to
Have you found a way to take walking sticks in carry on luggage?
No we haven’t. We always carry it in our checked baggage

Sad to hear! We never stayed there, but now we definitely never will! thanks for saying :)

Really ? Because that lodge has over 2000+ 5 star reviews on Google.
New Yorkers smh
Wow! We're going next week and I've tried like crazy to get a room at the lodge. Thanks for the heads up!
Is February a good month to visit zion?

I wish you would pronounce it correctly.

I've always wanted to go there because of fallout. Maybe one day I'll go there with a woman.
