    We visited Zion in February. It was beautiful with the snow and red rock. The overlook trail on the east side of the tunnel provides amazing views of the canyon. Kolob Canyon was spectacular. Highly recommend visiting this national park.

    Hey Cheryl and Matt!
    I just wanted to thank you for all of the amazing videos you put out there. I just returned from a trip to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon NP, and Cedar Breaks National Monument. All of your videos were so helpful in planning out our 4 day trip. Your advice allowed me and my family to prepare for and enjoy our entire stay. Especially for The Narrows! My father and I ended up walking much further into the canyon than we anticipated. Did we get chest deep in water? Yes we did, haha. And we enjoyed every minute of it. I cannot wait to watch more of your videos to plan out my next trip (also, I am fully committed to returning to Zion NP in the winter). Truly grateful for all of the hard work you both put into helping us newbies out here. Cannot thank you enough!!!

    I haighly recommend taking Cheryl's [and Matt's] advice. I went to Zion during the emergence from the pandemic, when the shuttle was still on a timed-access-with-pass system, and would've been lost without their tips. Back then there was unlimited access to The Rock known as Angel's Landing, and I wish there had been some sort of controls in place. Folks got a bit...testy as I made the trip back down. Matt, Cheryl...GREAT bumping into you. What a pleasant surprise!!!

    Hi Cheryl. I just found and subscribed to your great channel. We are planning a first time trip from Florida and heading out west next May. We are taking our camper and staying in Kanab Utah for two weeks. Ill be watching a lot of your videos and hoping we can do a lot of exploring from Kanab. Is the weather generally ok in the middle of May. Thank you for your videos,keep up the great work!

    • @WereintheRockies

      That's a really great question. I would go early, like before 7 am. If you want more specific advice, maybe try contacting the visitor center.

    Hello I’m going to Zion next week! I really appreciate your videos. Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to do the Narrows and part of angels landing in one day?

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  Рік тому +1

      It is possible. It can take 4-5 hours to hike Angels Landing, depending on how physically fit you are and how busy the trail is. The Narrows take as long as you want it to take. You can turn around at any time.

    This is probably a silly question but we are visiting Zion next May with an America the Beautiful pass and plan to get there super early to get a parking space. Will there be staff there early to check the pass or do we just make the pass visible in the car?

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  Місяць тому

      If the entrance station is not manned when you arrive, you can go right in. No need to make your pass visible.

      Great suggestion! We have a concentrated Arches 101 but not a Grand Teton. However, we have many videos about Grand Teton here: ua-cam.com/play/PLbhuXgSSAbWZ8_YQlDOB0T5ymQ9dZM2pB.html

    Hi Cheryl! Thanks for the informative video. Quick question I know for (Angels Landing) you mention "there's an age limit for kids" not sure if website shows that, or if thats just a precautionary advice from you. I kind of briefly checked through the website but didn't find anything regarding that.
    Thank in advance.

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  5 місяців тому

      To our knowledge, there is no age limit enforced by the national park. This was a personal suggestion.

    Hi! If we take the shuttle through the park, what do you do about lunch? Usually I pack a cooler in the car but I assume you can’t leave anything on the shuttle when you get off.

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  6 місяців тому +1

      Correct, you can't leave a cooler on the bus. Pack a lunch that doesn't need refrigeration and pack it in a backpack.

    Hi Thank you. Great information as always. We plan to do the narrows and then weeping rock. Maybe another short walk/trail, I'm not sure. My question is about the shoes. We will be wearing the rented water shoes and I would rather not need to carry another pair of shoes and socks with us. Is there any problem with that? I assume that must be common and I believe the weeping rock is not a long hike. Thanks again

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  Рік тому

      Weeping rock is not a long hike. It's only 0.3 mile (round trip). If you don't mind doing it in wet shoes, then you'll be fine. Or if you decide to do Weeping Rock before the Narrows, you'll be able to do it with dry shoes.

    Can you purchase an inexpensive walking stick in or near the park? They are not allowed in our carryon luggage.

      Zion Outfitter rents them. They are located in Springdale, UT, which is right outside Zion National Park.
