Build this Floating Corner TV Stand!

- Опубліковано 19 гру 2016
- Check out how I built this simple corner wall mounted TV stand using 1x6s and a few screws. It's a simple project and really opens up floor space in your room! It could also be turned into a desk if mounted a little higher or could even be used as a pantry/storage area if you made several smaller ones.

hence wish i had a garage to make things like this again in this old home!!!
I would definitely move the speaker to the bottom. That would look awesome!
Glad I came across your channel thanks for a great video so simple yet so much better. I've been looking for something like this for my room, many thanks. And keep up the good work.
Smart and simple solution. Nice job.
Awesome project. Love the funky music to bro.
love this! I've been needing to do this for a long time, gonna do it next month. you did a great job!
Thanks. It was a simple build, but looks pretty cool. Should work out great for you.
This is exactly what I was looking for you‼️thanks
Thank you!!! Now if I can get my husband to build one.
Thank you for making this! Now I know exactly what I need to build my own instead of buying one for more than $400! Yes!!
I like the idea. I am thinking about building something similar but for a lot bigger TV. Not sure if I will go along a flat wall or in the corner yet. Its currently on a stand so I am going to try placing it in the corner and using it like that for a couple of weeks to see which location i prefer. Considering putting a decorative panel down the back side of the shelf to hide all the wires.
My grandmother always called it Jimmy hawking it. Very good job it looks nice.
I love it... I wish you would do more corner projects those are always awesome to store things in the house especially when it is small 😊
I don't have a lot of open corners left, but I'll try to think of a few more ideas for them.
MrDiyDork thank you =) your awesome
Looks great! Good idea!
Fantastic build and love your Christmas tree!
Thanks! I've been wanting to build this for a long time and just never did it. Glad I did now. It works great.
really good idea, so inspiring, thanks for sharing the video, its cool
Wow verry nice corner love it
Thankz for sharing the video my friend godbless
Looks very good. I will use your design.
The wood color matching the floor. Wow , very nice.
Thanks!
Looks great.
Subscribed :)
That is a really nice corner stand you made
Have you done anything about those cords?
You remind me of my own OCD issues.
It's mostly house related decor.
Thanks was looking for something like this for my tv!
Me too. I bought a whole load of 2x4. But I bought double what I needed.
Paint the inside of shelf black that holds the cable box and clock
Fantastic job! Will you be doing more videos like this soon?
Looks great! Happy New Year
Thanks! Happy New Year!
Thanks for this tips..i got idea from this video..new friend here
Wat would u recommend for a corner shelf for a 70" TV..and 5 devices that r connected to TV..thxs
Nice and simple!!!
Thanks!
Good idea, but I would have made another shelf to fit speaker in.
Cool project buddy. Just subbed after my dad was watching uou
Hey, thanks man!
👍Thanks!
Such ideas are amazing
It's not the idea (which I came up with for my TVs 10 years ago), it's the people that can create the finished product (I had someone build mine for me)
Another great project. I wonder what you could make with the old stand?
A quick $30 on Craigslist! ;)
Hey 👋Mrdiydork how are you? That was a great demo! I have a 40" heavy Panasonic flat screen 📺 wondering if I do a floating wall for it will the tv fall? 🤔I have no brackets on the back of it so I have to build a floating wall😥
Annette Villalongo if it's solid pine like this and your hitting at least two studs either side like he did it will hold a pretty considerable amount of weight. consider using Pl for the wall mounted boards as well as the screws if you're really worried. if it's crazy heavy you could do some board and baton look to the wall underneath it and the batons running to the floor from the shelf would also help hold it up
Nice job.
Thanks!
Love your channel...
Thanks!
That clock is awesome. Where did you get it?
I think we found it on Amazon if I remember correctly. It's huge and super easy to read from just about anywhere in the house.
What the measurements are for the 2nd ,3rd and 4th piece on top after the 48 in 46 degree side cut.
Blaze it
Jica i wAs wondering if that was just coincidence or subliminal lol
M E M E zzxs
Would this work if I use a 4 x 4 plywood? Cut directly in half into to equal triangles for top and bottom pieces? I’m not good with measurements and cutting
Yes. I have double corner TV shelves in 2 different rooms. There are face plate strips across each of the 4 shelves to give them a more finished look.
Nice watch :) From where did you buy it ...
I think we found the clock on Amazon. I don't remember what it was called though.
May I ask what kind of circular saw you used? The one with angle guide. Thanks
I used my sliding miter saw to cut the angles.
I need some help. I want to do something very similar, but the corner I want to use isn't a 90 degree angle. Is is, but there about a 13 inch flat spot in the corner. Like the top of a trapezoid, it that makes any sense. Could this method still me used?
Yeah, I think you could still build something like this. It would just have a flat back end instead of the corner. You'd probably want to cut a hole in the center of the back board for the cables to run through.
That tv is not the best but I really like the idea man!!
You should do other types of mounts for telivisions.
I'd probably need to find more TVs and wall space first. ;)
put sound bar under shelf get rid of box for tv,, get a ps4 to even out shelf
Thats a nice stand, but you should re-run your power and coax so they are inside the tv stand for an ultra clean look
That would definitely look even better. I just kept it simple to avoid all the re-routing and drywall work.
MrDiyDork it's not as big of a job as it looks, and the results are amazing, no cables
As an amateur with woodworker, I typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement. Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . I now work like a genius. That is great!?
just an idea. why not mount the sound bar to the bottom or the shelf.
I thought about mounting it like that, but it looked kinda "heavy" down there, so I put it up top with the tv, where it sorta disappeared.
Hindi me video banaye plz
Wayyy too much talking for nothing but that’s a super good idea man great work thanks !
gahhhhhh
No one mentioned pennywise there up on the wall... hmm.
Too rough… better if you had installed it in an outdoor shed…
