    Desert Rose crystals are formed from gypsum in sand. As the liquified gypsum hardens, the minerals create crystal petals which adds up to a beautiful rose-like structure.
    You can only find desert rose crystals in very specific geological zones, which I show you how to find in this video.
    I also show you the techniques to extract the delicate rose crystals without breaking them.
    If you would like directions to this dig site, all you have to do is sign up for my awesome wilderness adventure newsletter at www.RusticSkills.com/newsletter.
    Respond to the first email you get, and I will send you a PDF report on how to exactly get to the dig site that I show you in this video.

    I love what I saw. My daughter who is 4 has already found some apache tears in the front yard here in Phoenix and a a large chunk of quartz crystals and some smaller fragments from the same stones. I've been looking at the floor picking up random rocks that caught my eye my whole life but never anything as interesting as what she found. I stumbled on your video looking up the history of apache tears and I liked your video and your great personality and enthusiasm while digging. Keep it up!

      It was AWESOME, so many great stones to see! I did spot a couple of fakes, and I am making a video where I will be calling out on these people. Overall, there were AMAZING specimens, it is a must see! And yes it is in Tucson AZ, video coming up soon!

      @@RusticSkills outstanding thank you. 😊 “Katie did rocks” was there and she briefly showed the fakes. But didn’t go into much detail. Not trying to sound frustrated cause by no means was I frustrated cause at least she said “these are fake” her focus was on all the pretty rocks. H you’re so awesome 👏🏻 it’s awesome you’re knowing your followers and knowing what we want to see. And what we enjoy seeing. Thank you.

      I am making a couple of videos relating to the gem show, one will be the ultimate guide, that is (hopefully) releasing Monday. Then I have a video about the miners and rockhounders, I did some interviews. Then there will be "the best of" highlights video. These will all release over the next several months as editing is a pain in the a**!!!!!

      An FYI
      Totally illegal to have or take. Even feathers. If the bones are kept from an animal you hunted, you have the permit from getting drawn to hunt, otherwise totally not allowed ! Cactus included dead or alive! Crazy huh!
      Also, rocks and minerals have a certain weight allowance per location!
      Depending on State Trust land, BLM, or Park/Forest areas. Private land a diff. Ball game with it's own rules!
      Just thought I'd fill ya in a bit, so you consider before posting😅
      you can call me Debbie Downer, but hopefully I got to you, before the law did!
      May need to do a bit of research on it, just to protect yourself !
      Just a heads up! Ok 😮

      @@10thstjeep I dont think a rabbit skull is illegal unless its an endangered rabbit, or special status. Raptor feathers are technically illegal, yes

    • @RusticSkills
      @RusticSkills  4 місяці тому

      Really? The jackrabbit? Is it for the actual species you are talking about? I have only heard of eagle and maybe hawk being illegal to collect. Sorry to say, but I think you may have your information wrong!

    • @RusticSkills
      @RusticSkills  5 місяців тому +10

      First, this is public lands, I am allowed to enjoy them. Second, the people of Saint David should stand up for their public lands and not allow them to close off this area -or- Saint David should make this into an official digsite, which many local governments have done for their constituents. Third, I don't appreciate you scolding me on exercising my 2nd amendment rights of free speech, and exercising my right to use our public lands. I encourage people to get outdoors, be active, and enjoy access to our vast public land system. If we don't stand up to this kind of stuff, we won't have anything left. Merica! ❤️🤍💙
