you should rename yourself The Quartz Splitter.
Dude, I think you got goosebumps when you opened that while agate! 😀
What did you do with that elongated that produced two almost symmetrical pieces at 4:58? It would make nice, big earrings.
Is the location open to the public?
So just a question,…. How do you pick which way you want to cut them and get their best view?
Why am I addicted to agates now? I cant stop watching!!
It's soothing to watch! 😊 🤷♀️
Old Disabled House Bound Dusty Rusty Rockhound here:
I cut my teeth on Arkansas quart crystals... learned to walk looking for Arizona agates... hid Boley agates from Oklahoma in my apron pockets at age 3. I was my Dad's little pebble pup... became his gemstone as I worked with him side by side in our lapidary shop. Now, this video brought back wonderful memories of my Dad! He's now a fossil and I am the molded impression of his existence. Thank you, Taylor for showing these Arizona agates! Thank you, to my Dad, for a lifetime of love, nature, science, beauty, and wonder! ❤❤❤❤
That's a very sweet story about growing up looking for those special agates with your dad and in the lapidary. Love it.
I can definitely tell that you are from the Midwest, you're so polite even when you don't really like agates or rocks that aren't particularly agate like you say "oh well that's kind of a nice rock too but just not what I wanted but it's very nice"
I usually can find beauty in most things, but that’s just being positive lol ❤️
Picked many beautiful rocks in AZ desert for several years. Amazing colors, arrowheads, lead shot balls, and a Herkimer diamond. Best time of my life.
Cut, cut, cut! Who doesn't like that. So many beautiful faces exposed. You did good and so did the Cab King.
That all white one was pristine. Just gorgeous. Really you didn’t go wrong with those. Definitely go back to visit.
I'm a newbie and so excited to have found you tonight !!! Growing up (60+ years ago, my dad did all of this. I still have a butterfly pin that he made my mother, made from gold stone ( I think that's what you call it...looks like glitter). We used to go to the rock quarries, climb up on top of the river rock piles and hunt for hours. My dad nicknamed me his Rock hound pebble puppy !!! Such wonderful memories !!! Thank you so much for sharing your craft !!! You found some real beauties !!!
It always amazes me how the two sides can be so different. Love watching you.
You weren’t lying when you said premium agate. Those were some killer agates!! This video was a pleasure to watch.😎😎
I’m in LOVE with rocks!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Did I have fun?! 👍 That purple amethyst geode when you open that you got so excited that I got so excited the neighbors can hear me yelling with excitement. Thank you for starting my day with excitement😅
How cool! I never thought about agate in Arizona. I fly out Monday for my first rock hounding adventure there. Thanks for the video. Your channel rocks! 🪨
There was some beuties in there, even that most of them had`nt any colors. They looked so "clean" and was good for the eye to look at.
Arizonan here, just discovered this channel yesterday and binging older episodes like this one, now I want to go look for agates and cool rocks around my state. 😊
Welcome aboard!
I'm fairly new, also.....I'm wondering if I'll ever get caught up! So much fun!!😅
The mossy ones would make very pretty pendants. In my book that last one was the best. So beautiful.
I love agates I’m so glad I just found your channel. It’s so cool watching you. I can’t wait to show my husband he’s going to freak!
I see many comments expressing fear that lapidarists will cut themselves with their saws. The diamond saws they use don't actually cut like a regular saw, they abrade a narrow channel through the material. You can hurt yourself with them but the injury will be more like a burn than a cut and won't be very deep. Eye injury when you forget to put your safety glasses on is a bigger problem.
Looks like a return trip to Arizona in the future. Fantastic cutting and polishing of those beautiful little gems. Thanks for sharing. Peace be with you and be safe.
I still think you saved the best for last! of course, I really like the mossy sort of one's myself so all the colors and shapes in the last one was my fav!
I love that you get so excited when youcut these stones open!
Those white ones are so pretty that would make some pretty earrings and necklaces
I’m a crystal lover. I stumbled upon your content recently and oh wow. Also I’m visually impaired so THANK YOU for describing everything.
You are so welcome!
Hi I just want to say thank you for bringing a new interest into my life. I came across your videos by accident and have been watching ever since. I am currently going out and collecting rocks of my own, I don't have a saw yet but hope to soon. I am really enjoying this and my grandchildren are showing an interest too. Happy hunting and cutting.
So many beautiful agates! So many awesome videos on your channel. Thanks for sharing
Everything was awesome! Love watching you cut - you're so excited. The polished agates were great. You so such great videos. Thank you.
When I hear ' Oh my gosh' I know it's going to be good.
😂❤️
I'm so glad you have so much fun with this hobby. I love watching your videos and seeing how beautiful each of them are. Thanks for sharing with us!
Im heading to AZ in a month or so. I am super excited to pick up some more agates from saddle mountain. Went there last year and was only going to stay for 10 days and i ended up staying for 5 weeks. Had a blast! Ready to try some new spots this time around. Thank you so much for sharing! I learn something every time i watch.. love this channel!
I remember when you came out here to Arizona. Loved watching you find some of these rocks. I believe mostly fire agates. Was it as Saddle Mountain that you found these beauties? Asking cause I struggle to find mountain agates. And go to saddle mountain very often. Just went today. It was amazing due to the rain we had. And many fire agates were ver visible. Thankfully they hadn’t been picked up. I love the rose pattern calcedony. But struggle to find just regular agates. You have some Very very pretty finds.
The white are just Stunning!!!! 🪬🤍🧿🪨🧿🤍🪬
So beautiful I just find it so interesting how the halves don't seem to match up. The bands look different on each side.
I love how you call them egg-its. Lol.
You are doing an amazing thing here! I love it! Inspiring!
Thank you so much!
He cracks me up! He really loves agates. I can SO relate! I too, worry about his thumbs slipping!
Great cuts, great video! An 'out west' rockhounding trip is definitely on my bucket list!
Love your videos mate I just wanted to say 10:37 that owl is so ignorant lol it’s such a grate agate but the owls 🦉 to busy being nosy at whatever is behind him 😊can’t wais for the next video take care mate.
Love love love it! So many pretties.I had not seen the parallax banding before, what a fabulous effect! Really enjoying these videos
Wow those were all so amazing. Love the white. And yes I know what it's like to have a golden retriever. I have a very large male. I miss him all the time.
I’m almost as excited as you are . Love watching your videos !
I really liked the red mossy looking cuts, especially the ones that also had bands and small geodes. What an amazing day. TY for sharing 😊
PS lived the background music 🎶.
Good morning agatedad.
Morning!
I love the "I'm a band man" quote - great stuff!
Wonderful!! I loved the one that was a geode too. I admire from afar the amazing beauty you reveal in the rocks you cut and polish. I go to Etsy to see the end results but as tempted as I am and even if you posted to UK I could not environmentally justify posting a rock across an ocean - but I'm tempted. lol
Neat. I haven't understood parallax banding till that small one. That was great. Some of those were fantastic.
I'll be heading to NM sometime in the next few oaths and I CANT WAIT to get some.agates from there!!
Love the video.... always enjoy when you do the cutting ❤
You know the guy really loves stones when each of them is "oh my gosh, that's so cool... that is sweet, soo preeetty".
I sure do love agates ❤️
He showed us awhile back that it's not sharp. It actually grinds thru the stone
Polished agate, one looks like a ballroom dance shoe the other mask. Just amazingly pretties.
2:02 i love that one its so beautiful 😍❤️
15:24
Build a golem out of all of the bad rocks you've cut over the years and use those for the eyes.
So much depth in these!😍
Those all white ones are just so beautiful! Well I mean they all are but the white ones are a different level of beautiful. They just look so clean. Just different shades of white.
You make me soooo nervous as you cut them….especially the really small ones…I so value my fingers, not sure I could do that 😆 And then you open them and ai can’t wait for you to cut the next one! 🤣🤣 Stay safe & cut on!
14:38 again i think that is absolutely beautiful, you seemed so disappointed 😍❤️
The second batch you cut open, the one that you liked the most all white with the bands. I thought it looked like a key hole ❤
Good morning!🥹
Morning!
Agates to tell you, these videos are awesome!
That blue chalcedony agate. Found lots . I'm in AZ. Lots of it here in AX
I didn’t know there were agates in the AZ desert! I’m in MN in the summer (on a lake) and AZ in the winter. I’ve been a rock hound I think since I started walking, always had a sunburned neck in the summer walking the shores looking for agates. Where in the desert do you look and what are you looking for? Do,you dig for them or just find them in the top of the ground? I know what a MN agate looks like but I’m not familiar with the ones in AZ. Help! I love watching your videos, especially when you get so excited when you open them! Love it!
That is a premium batch even the mossy stones are cool they have character all their own.
I'm down here now collecting them❤ they are just beautiful! And such a surprise in every one!!
Hey I just watched that video yesterday, Perfect timing! Definitely planning on a winter trip down south this year🎉❤
Hope you enjoy it!
Wonderful video 👍👍
Very beautiful Arizona stones
Thank you very much!
The agate on time line 3M56S looks like a Seahorse great video I'm interested in finding some I don't really know what to look for but I guess I will find out thank you for the great video

The one at 12:59 was cool!
Oh wow to many to pick for my favorite....😮❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
5:06 is my favourite
The kast cut held horizontally looked like a landscape with a tree on the left.
Just wait till your next trip! Lol big geodes....
Heck yeah boss!!!!
Whereabouts in AZ? Next time I go home I would love to try!!!
AWESOME!!! I am a total rookie....how would one know those are agates by looking at the outside? I would be oblivious to these being agates....
Love the variety of agates you cut I've been able to identify a ton more agates now
That’s awesome!
Arizona agates are beautiful
Hi Sufi. I agree with you. Why can’t they use a guard. I shudder each time they cut one. Keep safe.
That shadow banding though! Wow! Yeah it's been a minute glad you cut these. Who knew?!
It’s been a while lol
great video as always, greetings to all rockhounds😎
I absolutley love this channel!
Glad you enjoy it!
These are so pretty, I love collecting rocks, they amaze me and what's inside always fascinated me. I've always wanted a cutting wheel,, but seeing as my support workers won't let me use a knifes - even a butter knife on a super shaky day is a NO go.
I adore that little geode that was at 8.53 I don't know why but that one's just grabbed my attention
Anything with blues, purples, pink hues get me too.
I love the last one. It's like an ink blot!
I'm going to see the Etsy store.
How old do you think those are? As in how long to form? THANKYOU so much for the video and your effort!
I’m always amazed different regions of the earth produce different shapes. 👍👍❤️
Hey Agate Dad, I’m sure a MN guy, which we lived up there and finally moved to AZ I would love to find AZ agate. Where did you find we walk down by creeks that are dried up and I’ve never seen agates. I would like to know where in AZ you found. We have a rock shop in our park and I love to watch you your so good and I love your laugh it’s great
Mesa
The white ones are amazing it's hard to see them but once you polish them it was easier.
Have you looked at them under black light? If not, you might find some amazing colors.
some of the tiny agates would make great earrings or cufflinks if you slab them
Your second favorite is my favorite!
Exquisite agates, will go to Etsy. Hopefully I can purchase
Appreciate the thought!
I don't have a Golden Retriever but I know the life. I have a Great Pyrenees and I've been using a Furminator on her very thick coat. What a mess!! Back to rocks!
Love my Golden!
Those mossy ones look good for jewelry. They are unique
Wow. I think that last one is so interesting and unusual. So I guess it's just all personal taste.
06:45 if there's any way to do thin slabs, it looks like they'll have the coveted iris agate quality
Sure is, I only do slabs when I want to make cabochons
I'm amazed by all the unique premium Arizona agates and I have not been able to find any agates except fire agates and Chalcedony 😅
Can you give a general range of where you hunted?
At 4 min 27 seconds in, can you explain the different types of rock that are part of the agate? Is it jasper?
