I almost believed the hype on this one Roger. In some good ways, this vax blade is like a shark. In some bad ways this is also like a shark. I prefer a shark though. I hope everybody that is thinking about buying this should watch you first. You are always honest and informative and make great videos. You certainly saved me from getting this. Thank you Roger. Please forget I have commented lol.
I bought one of these for myself and one for a friend. The massive problem with it is that it leaves larger items in the brush head so that when you turn the machine off they all drop out onto the floor. You then have to get a dustpan and brush to pick them all up. Grrrrrr
Normally it’s the first filer that is clogged making it have no suction the cyclone is terrible the dirt sticks straight into the filter and makes it loss suction very quick
Hi there! I’m having trouble with the machine and hoping u could help. It seems that I can’t take the pet brush off of the machine. Is it usually quite hard to take it off?
I was considering this Vax email me every week with an offer on this but after watching your video it’s a no I have Asthma plus the design is just awkward ps congratulations on 40k
I got the blade pro. I've a husky. the rotary head is class for doing carpets if you have a dog. but if you use it regularly it's near impossible to maintain the rotary head. it gathers so much and cause the motor saver to kick in once it starts to obstruct the brush. how are you supposed to maintain the rotary head. especially if you accidentally Hoover over wet. gunk collects and again ceases the brush??
Mine is brand new, first use. When I put my hand under the floor head there is no suction, usually when you do that on a normal vacuum it pulls your skin in the suction is very strong, but not on this. Is this normal?
Thank you for your honest review, as always. I'm looking for a cordless vacuum that you don't have to continually hold the power button down on. Preferably lightweight. Do you have any recommendations please? Thank you :)
I am currently using the G Tech AirRam and Multi handheld together and I'm pretty impressed. Both are lightweight and you don't have to hold down the power button. The Shark Duo Clean cordless is also pretty good, but a bit heavier. Dyson do make some of the best cordless machines, but like you, a lot of people don't like having to keep their finger on the power switch. I will be looking at the new Bosch Unlimited soon that is fairly light and again the power switch stays on without having to hold it.
@@ibaisaic Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I must have missed your videos on the Gtech, so will go ahead and have a watch now :) I hadn't even thought of them actually. I assumed I'd have to duct tape the Dyson button down and live with it! I'll keep my eye out for your Bosch Unlimited review too, it's good to know Dysons aren't the only options out there.
Both Richard Dyson and Nick Grey (founder of Gtech) started at Vax. If I remember right Dyson was brought in to design a new vacuum then headed off to make his own, Nick Grey was head of product development then left to set up Gtech........god I need to get out more :-S.
I always thought Dysons wife couldn't find a vacuum she like so he designed one for her using her specifications. Also, no we don't need to get out more. We just need more wine and Netflix
I'm the first person to comment on this video and the 4th person to like this video. A question Roger are you going upload a video of the Green Dyson DC05 and when are you doing a video of the Hoover Washing Machine?
The Dyson DC05 in green will be coming up later this year. I have filmed the first video of the Hoover washer but it needs editing. I hope to upload that next week.
i'm so disappointed with this Vax. I bought it hoping I'd get better results. Even when I've just cleaned and dried the filter thoroughly, I go to sweep up loose dirt on carpet and it just pushes it around and never picks it up, and often leaves streaks behind as well. As soon as you pick the brush head off the floor it dumps all the stuff it's just sucked up, this is especially bad when you turn it off. Hairs get wrapped round and round the brush head, and very often I find fluff from one of our longer pile carpets blocks the entire long pole and brush and the entry into the dirt cannister. It is the most unpleasant hoover to empty as well. You open the door and let the loose dirt drop out, but most of it won't drop out and you have to put your fingers into the narrow space between the filter and the canister side, or better still take the filter out and bang that over the bin to empty out the dust, by which time your hands are covered in dirt, fluff and any odd insects you cleaned up like a spider. UGGGHHH. Right from out of the box, like the man in this review says, its really heavy, and I wished that Vax had provided a shoulder support strap. I would not recommend buying a vax. Never again. Useless and expensive piece of kit.
Not a machine I'd buy. The filters, especially the black foam one, are a clogging nightmare which would need constant cleaning out, and the main unit is bulky and heavy, and not at all ergonomic for above floor cleaning. Reviews I have read on this machine have not been good, with the majority saying it gets clogged far too quickly, and there have been reports of the flexible hose in the main floorhead tearing open. One to avoid.
Uncle has one. I don't recommend it. The performance isn't very good and the filters suck. Just get a bag corded Vacuum like a Sebo unless you need to clean the car or something. In which case I would just get a Henry and take it outside...
The SlimVac had no pre-motor filter, as was the same with the Hoover Freedom. Even though they used a dual cyclone design, some dust got through, and thus straight through the motor, being captured by the exhaust filter. This was bad because the motor got coated with dust which passed through it, and would cause premature failure of the motor, usually from bearing wear, and the fan getting covered with dust, leading to excessive noise and vibration. It was a very foolish idea to produce such a vacuum with no pre-motor filter to protect the motor from ingestion of fine, damaging dust.
I really liked the look of this. BUT....I don't think you should have to pay extra to get the tools needed for the vacuum cleaner to do its job. I wont be buying this,
Without doubt...absolutely hands down...no contest...the worst hoover I’ve ever had...I couldn’t even give it away...it’s about 6mths old..as new, everything works, but it’s crap...I might give it to charity shop...I had to buy a dyson v10 for £400 instead...don’t waste your money like I did..
bonzobanana1 He pronounced it Ebayzeeack To be honest it should be Ebayzack but the other way sounds better. The letters actually stands for "It Beats As It Sweeps As It Cleans which was a catchphrase from an old Hoover advert in the UK.
Looks very much like the Henry/Numatic Quick nozzle. Interesting!

The filtration lets it down, but I will be doing a full demo after the whole house clean video.
ibaisaic thank you my friend.

I bought one of these for myself and one for a friend.

I've got an ultra 24 volt but it's battery is dead and I don't use it anymore and it's charges been misplaced
I was considering this Vax email me every week with an offer on this but after watching your video it’s a no I have Asthma plus the design is just awkward ps congratulations on 40k
Its not great to be honest and thanks.
But you got a blade 3 and blade 2 max?
Looks so unusual for a handheld vacuum
I got the blade pro. I've a husky. the rotary head is class for doing carpets if you have a dog. but if you use it regularly it's near impossible to maintain the rotary head. it gathers so much and cause the motor saver to kick in once it starts to obstruct the brush.

ibaisic what do you do think of the hoover impulse cordless vacuum???
It’s not available in the UK.
Mine is brand new, first use. When I put my hand under the floor head there is no suction, usually when you do that on a normal vacuum it pulls your skin in the suction is very strong, but not on this. Is this normal?
hey do u think u cn do a video of the hitachi akoya CV-80DC?xxx
We got pro but I dunno if it has a hepa filter like most dyson would but it’s a vax so I dunno

1, Is this better or the vax blade 4? (i think the blade 4 is the more recent model)
2, and why exactly?
Thanks
I tested a vacuum like this in tesco. It seemed like the suction was very low.
Anyone knows the problem with the main head-brush not working, not going round l/r forward hit and miss-soundly like a wire lose But Where can it bee
I’d cut your losses and buy something decent.

Great
Copied the Hoover ONEPWR Blade Cordless vacuum
These don’t have anti hair wrap claim btw the pro that we have aka my family + me the vax got a rediculous amount of wrapped hair

it is probably the same as a Dirt Devil Blade
It is.
YOU DIDNT SHOW HOW TO TURN AND TURN OFF THE HEAD BRUSH
THERE’S NO NEED TO SHOUT ! I DID SHOW THE BRUSHBAR ON OFF CONTROL IN THE VIDEO.
I really liked the look of this. BUT....I don't think you should have to pay extra to get the tools needed for the vacuum cleaner to do its job. I wont be buying this,
Sounds like a noisy vacuum to use
"All"? I beg to differ. The AEG Ultraone demo proved that.

How are you meant to pronounce that youtube channel name? I keep reading it as i-ballsack as if Apple made ballsacks.
bonzobanana1 He pronounced it Ebayzeeack
To be honest it should be Ebayzack but the other way sounds better.
The letters actually stands for "It Beats As It Sweeps As It Cleans which was a catchphrase from an old Hoover advert in the UK.
It actually should be pronounced eye bay see ick, but I've been saying it wrong for years.
power button is in a stupid place.
dun the geget what ever it it
Worst hoover I’ve ever had by far!
