Great review! I've been looking at you tube videos of this particular model vs Dyson V6 all morning and to be honest this is by far the best, most thorough review I've seen which has given me a lot of clarity around the comparison to Dyson. I live in an apartment, which has both hardwood and carpet flooring, so i need something versatile, powerful, and lightweight and easy to store away. In terms of price in Australia Dyson V6 is around $499 where the Vax is $180. I'm definitely leaning towards Vax after this! Thank you. Veronica
Just recently purchase one and very please with it. Great value for money picked up one at $119 (Australian Dollars), perfect for that quick clean in between a major vacuum. Great video too 😀
Quite impressive and this actually has dual cyclone design. Inner cone can be seen when you take the bin apart. I personally would never pay 400€ for a Dyson stick vac. It might be good, but not 400€ good. This Vax seems almost as good and it has reasonable price.
Notable vacuums bought by us in the past - Hoover TurboPower 3 - bloody brilliant. We tried a Dyson once and was not impressed at all for the money. Up until last year we were on a Vax spree. Still got two here - Mach6 Complete (heavier than a bus) and a MachAir Force Total. I'd probably still be buying Vax as I like their style and the way, if they do go a bit strange, they are easy to strip down and put back together. Likewise I think their service is excellent, both over the phone and sending parts out if needed. However, the last one we bought - Vax Pet Steerable Air thingy only lasted a couple of months, it was replaced and the same thing happened. We do have two Newfoundlands so I don't think that helps with the pet hair but I expected it to last due it being a 'Pet' model. We ended up with a Shark Handstick Pet which is excellent and not let us down yet. I would go back to Vax though if we didn't have dogs.
Hooray! Roger is back! With his usual colour-coordinated clothing, as well! How you found a sweater and socks to match the subtle light copper accents of this vac, I don't know.... but don't think we fans don't notice the extra effort! \o/!
I have the Dyson v6 absolute vacuum and I bought it from qvc on easy pay and the fluffy head on the Dyson v6 absolute is the best cleaner head on the vacuum for cleaning up big stuff on your hard floors
Hey! Really enjoying your channel! Am currently thinking about getting a Vax Slimvac like in this video or the Vax Blade - I have a 3 storey house and lugging a big corded upright about and doing the stairs is driving me mad’ Did you end up doing a full demo / review on this one? If not are you able to give some thoughts on real world performance? Have you played with a Blade? They look powerful but bulky! Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work! :)
That had, surprisingly, better suction than I thought. You could see it pulling the filth in. It almost looks like it performs better than the Dysons. I'm curious to see how the filtration stacks up; especially with all that dust followed by your flour-y hard floor test.
I would prefer a corded vacuum that has a longer lifespan without a battery dying, plus the only cordless that I have is an electrolux two in one stick vac.
Man, im glad that i bought this one even though way before this review. Was standing in the shop considering and imagine how it could peform. Bought it for introcution price of €135. Pleased about my brain and the vacuum. Good alternative to Dyson. Still Dyson is the best but not for there prices.
Pile of filth looked like the USA! Hmmm! (Well we need a good sweep!) Great demo and info; really like that button constant- on feature THX ROGER. BE WELL!
No premotor filter!! This and the similar Hoover freedom will self destruct their bearings and armature with dust passing through the motor. Built in obsolescence like Fantom.
Considering how well the Shark's are made and the tools that come with, I am not sure why someone would want this unless they really want cordless. Personally, plugging something in isn't a problem for me.
The Shark will outclean this Vax easily, but I do like some cordless vacs just for the convenience of being able to have a quick clean throughout the house without having to change sockets. I haven't found one cordless cleaner that would replace a mains powered vacuum, but that may come in time.
Just recently bought one from E-Bay, Battery was on charge overnight, the light had turned green but when I tried to use it there was no power. Sending back. disappointed to say the least, put me off cordless vacuum cleaners.
I don't think it would be wise of me to name them on here but I have ordered from them before and been happy with my purchase. They have agreed to send me a replacement , hopefully this one will work.

When I go clothes shopping, I take a trailer full of vacuums with me so I can make sure I get garments that co-ordinate.
ibaisaic Haha!!! What an image!!! A true cleanerphile, you are! 😄
You should do a vs with the dyson and vax
Riley Jones ok

Would love to see you review the Vax Blade 32v which I've just ordered in myself. Excellent video as always!

I would get a used one instead of new because I got a working used one for £5 instead of £200 new

The exhaust filter has stayed pretty clean during normal use, but I have yet to test it on flour.
For some reason the little squeeze always comes off after a bit and you can really tell the difference. Maybe it only happens to me lol.
I have 1 of them but it is not total home it is just cordless slimvac I want one of them
I'm getting the Vax blade 32v one how do you think that will be hope you will do some think on that

When will you do the demo and do you like this machine.
Soon and not really.
I have a Dyson DC 35 never been happy with it this one looks much better and so much cheaper but still like my gtech arm for larger areas

Did you do a full demo?
Hi ibaisaic where did you get the vax
Brilliant little machine!!!
brilliant demo
Hi Roger, would you say that this performs the same as the Bosch athlet or better?
I owuld say the Athlet performs better, but the Vax is more versatile and convenient for above floor cleaning.
Pile of filth looked like the USA! Hmmm! (Well we need a good sweep!) Great demo and info; really like that button constant- on feature THX ROGER. BE WELL!

In the U.S., it is sold as the Hoover Cruise cordless vacuum.
Yes I know. I mention and picture the Hoover Cruise in the video.
its a very very good vacuum an the battery is changeable
I have that hoover and I love it !!!
wounding if you will be doing video of the vac blade 24 V thanks
Possibly.

Where is the demo for this its been ages did it break
Coming up in a week or two hopefully.

A demonstration will be coming up.

Did you buy it from a reputable seller.
I don't think it would be wise of me to name them on here but I have ordered from them before and been happy with my purchase. They have agreed to send me a replacement , hopefully this one will work.
