This isnt a bad video really, but for those 18+ that are doing it couple of things that you could do different. First, you do not have to remove the steering wheel, unless, like me, you're changing it, other than that, not necessary. Second, you do not have to change the clock spring spring. This is only for the 15-17's. It comes with the kit because, well they charge over 2K for this kit brand new so they want it to fit all years. Third, do not pay over 2K for this kit. I bought a lightly used cluster and bezel for 700.00, buttons were 110.00. I did the whole set up plus a CF steering wheel and still spent way less, shop around...I will say this is totally worth it though.
Did you have to change the harness or was it plug and play I got a digital dash doing the swap tomorrow but was wondering if I have to swap the whole harness ? I also got the whole steering wheel with buttons from digital dash car
Where you able to use the "my color " to change the cluster color since I know in my base 17 analog cluster it doesn't have it and I would like to upgrade to this if it adds that feture!
One question: If I change the mileage display and put in a modern one, will it fit the Mustang? ecoboost and coyote. and it is necessary to change the old Ford clock spring if it is a 2021 mustang
Was thinking about doing this to my 2020, does the new gauge show what gear you are in when driving? Also what reason would we need to install this new clockspring compared to the one that was on with the analog gauge? Looks almost the same to me. Thank you.
Yes it shows what gear you’re in when driving. The clock springs are the exact same in the 2018+. The only reason I installed the new one is cuz that one is programmed to the buttons. You would need to program your old one for the new buttons or else it wouldn’t work
Just installed sync 3.4 on my car (2016) I wanna get behind the dash and see if I have wiring for the performance pack gauges and get that, then get this digital dash
@@jesse7305 I drove it but I told them more miles than I had so when I got the cluster in the mileage would be the same so I’d be able to drive it. So say I had 30k miles and when i ordered I told them 31k miles I was still able to drive an extra 1k miles so it would match up when I got the cluster
Maybe if Trump wins and gas drops to $2 otherwise I probably have more important bills to pay. I only wish had done my research and bought my car with Premium and PP1 already installed. It may pay me to just do a trade in for a car already done. I saw a 2024 GT with all options (active exhaust, etc) down the street at a dealer but $60k is out of my range right now.

U do not. The mileage has to be programmed before install. Or if you find one with less miles u can add more in forscan but u can’t decrease

You need to trim it down and block it off
