I haven’t experience this knock on wood lol… I was hitting 130 etc having lots of fun on my way to dallas( im in Louisiana so 5-1/2 hr drive) and only got to 235 highest temp and I’m always chilling at 80 on my way to work.. an about 45 min drive and get 204-16. The traditional approach is to try to hold oil temperatures between 230 and 260 degrees. Even on a short-duration, drag-only combo where oil is frequently changed, you would not want to routinely see oil temps under 200 degrees

I haven’t seen anyone install one but I do clean mine because bugs get in the fins of the cooler. I see my oil temps stay under 200 they stay at 190 and I’m in Texas with 98 degree days. The PP takes 10 quarts but those cuts on the fender liner look good they kinda look like how mine came.

Random question, but with having 3.15 gears and going with taller than the 27in tall stock tires I know the overall gear ratio gets reduced. Your tires are around the 28in tall range which would bring the overall gear ratio to around 3.00. Is there a significant difference in acceleration when comparing it to stock tires or is it not that noticeable? Only reason I ask is because I'm lowered with 285/30/20 in the front and 305/30/20 in the rear which are both around 27in tall. I'm debating for my next set of tires if I should go with 275/35/20 and 305/35/20 to give more sidewall and fill up the fender gap a little more. I know it's a taller tire than what I'm running so it will obviously raise the car on all four corners, but I also don't want to car to feel more sluggish than what I'm used to because of reducing the gear ratio.
