Ty for the video! I test-drove a Eco Premium model today with this cluster...couldn't figure out how to get it out of the Sport mode display and the dealer sales person couldn't either. Tempted to go back and look at it again...😁
Don't know if it's different for an older year, but in my 2019, you change your driving mode via switches in front of your gear shift on your center console.
Digital dashes are amazing.
Love that Cluster. I had a 2014, traded it in on a 2015 cause I thought that would be the tech of the century. Boy was I wrong!

I am glad I got the 401A package, PP and MagneRide on my 2018 GT convertible. With the 401A package, not only you get the digital cluster, but also the Premium Plus leather memory seats, wrapped central console wrapped knee
bolsters with accent stitching, and the same stitching on the shifter boot, the seats and the top of the dash; also you get the heated steering wheel and the navigation system.
That sounded sick until you said convertible

I have a question regarding MyMode and Magneride suspensions: can the Dampers setting be independently changed in Mode, just like the Exhaust mode, in a 2019 Ecoboost?
I see no option in the menu or separate buttons (like the one for the Steering wheel).
I also noticed that the 2020 Shelby has a button to change the Suspensions settings, on the steering wheel, in the bottom right corner. The EcoBoost has the Cruise Control buttons in this location.

thanks for running through the cluster options! I've been waiting to see what the next generation Mustang will look like but I was definitely curious about the new digital gauge cluster. Now I know that it is absolutely awesome! It definitely makes the standard gauges seem old-school even compared to the Camaro and current Corvette! That is why Ford rocks! Always ahead of the curve.
Steve Jones ahead of the curve if you ignore the Audi version that looks amazing and came out two years ago.
Look at the 3 gauges he configured. There's no numbering along the circumference, so you can't tell with accuracy what the reading is by just looking at them, you have to go into the menu. Stupid. The only nice about this digital cluster is the customization of the colors and guage selection, but that's about it. Functionally, it ain't all that. The Camaro has the best of both worlds, you have the digital cluster and the analog for those who prefer the old school gauges. And the gauges on the Camaro are easy to read at a quick glance.
You can actually buy the cluster from a Ford dealer and install it on any S550 mustang (even 15-17) look it up on UA-cam. So if you want to save money on a base Stang but want it, you can have the best of both worlds.
If you are ordering an 18 the cost difference pretty much makes it worth ordering the cluster but its a great options for 15-17, just needs some programming to make it work.
That would look awesome in my 16 EB CV!
I don't have nav in my base '16 GT, but would live that cluster, or at least digital speedometer.
That's good to know. I hate Ford's forced option bs. I want magride dual exhaust and this and no damn perf pack or convenience package.

So now I know something is missing with my car. I have the same options as you and I don't get individual shock adjustments in mymode or even the shock icon. I definitely have magneride too. Also I can't change the steering feel except for when it's in normal mode. I might have to make a trip to the dealer for a software update or something.
For 2018 I think if you have the active exhaust option it replaces the shock icon. I think the shock settings are linked to the drive modes and can’t be changed individually. Normal drive mode = normal shock setting. Can’t have Normal mode with sport shock setting. I think this changed for 2019 because I seen a Bullitt review video and it has 5 icons to show both active exhaust and shock settings instead of only 4 like on 2018. Also for 2019 the digital rpm readout is replaced with your current gear.
Eco boost also gets one as an option
I wonder if that Mustang has a rev match feature. If not, it can be swapped with TR-3160 with no stressful headaches which I plan to swap one day.

In the Manuals can you make the RPM # show as what gear you're in?

Just put this in my base model ecoboost...some features are not shown here because of the engineering of base models but its FANTASTIC!

There is a retro fitted aftermarket digital dash for the 15-17 models now. But it costs over 2k. Infotainment.com has them.

Question on something you didn't touch. I am looking at a 2018 GT Premium with this digital cluster. The pictures on CarGurus have the entire speedometer in KMH. Are there options to change the speedometer to miles per hour.

@cjponyparts I'm getting close to purchasing an S550 and have narrowed it down to two in my price range. One is a PP1 with leather, Navi etc. And the other option is a GT Premium non PP with the 12" screen. So I guess the question is which do you think is the better option? Obviously one is performance based and one is technology but if you had to choose which would you keep? Thanks!
manny rivas the answer is easy. Get the performance pack 1 with leather and Navi.
manny rivas I would go technology based, simply because no one keeps a stock mustang , making the pp basically a waste of money. Almost everyone changes springs, tires , wheels, etc.
Only thing good from The pp imo is the brembo brakes, but those can be bought separately for around $1200-1700

I have 2021 GT premium and in the digital cluster it doesn’t show me the rpms numbers like you, it shows what gear I’m on. It’s cool but how do I change to rpms numbers ?

Krystian Brewer seems only 18 manuals showed that. Automatics and 19 manuals all show the gear

Dude, there is the option for us to swap that 12” digital instrument cluster on any 15-17 Mustang.
There are ways to do it but it is pricey and not 100% plug and play at the moment.

Can the cluster on a manual GT work good on a 2019 gt350?
I have seen people do it but the redline is wrong and a few other things don't work as they should.
Do you have these options on the 10 SPD?
The cluster is the same with a few differences. The manual shows exact RPM in the center of the tach, the auto will show what gear you are in.

Is it possible that this feature is a software update which you have installed since you got the car?
I think that it cannot be set manually as it is linked to the driving modes.

Np i found the way its by connecting a OBD device to the laptop and then program it step by step not everyone needs it actually for middle east cars only

Hi Bill. Gotta question. Does this new display have a tire pressure monitor, showing the air pressure in reach tire? I have a 2015 mustang gt, and use this gauge to keep around 37psi in each tire. I have over 50,000 miles on the tires I bought. Thank you for your feedback.

For 19s you had to get the recaro seats to get "my color" feature. Without them you can only choose the preset colors.

If you are wondering how to add extra stuff to MYMODE, just move to the mode you want and change settings, for example in my PP2 Standard i went to Sport +and just changed the exhaust to Track, mainly to annoy my neighbors. :) Mines a 2019 with active exhaust so not sure what options are available on other set ups.

No you have to get the 401A premium package.
You cant install it on the base gt, its like $1500 when all is said and done
Wish I had this in my 2017 premium I saw a video where you can install them in 2017’s but the thing is over $1k😂

I cannot get mine to save for the life of me. For example, I set my exhaust in sport mode and saved it to “my mode”. Yet every time I start the car, it constantly defaults to “normal” for exhaust. Wonder if mine is bugged. I’ll check for updates. This is on a 2019
The car defaults to normal mode. You have to switch to My Mode each time after you start the engine.
This may sound stupid. But I have the automatic 2019 mustang gt premium and i want the digital display to show rpm instead of what gear I'm on. How do I change this?

How much is the option at a dealer, and how much to retrofit?
You have to order the 401A package from the dealer to get the cluster and it includes a few other things. There are retrofit kits out there but we have never installed one.

Hey Bill, just got a preowned 18 GT with an aftermarket 12LCD gauge cluster. Everything is fine, however the only problem is that my displayed redline is 6500rpm insteado of 7400rpm. How can I program it?
