For anyone fasting right now give yourself a pat on the back for making an effort and you got this! You are stronger than you think and wherever you are, whenever it is, May you receive this transmission of positive energy
I am currently doing a 3 day water fast I finished my first 24 hours. Two more days. I’m feeling weak but not hungry. I’m gonna keep riding the wave and I will get to the finish line.
Peace and Blessings of ALLAH be up on you. Instead of following his fast try dry fasting like us Muslims. It will do a world of good for you and also NOT make you feel weak. The way we fast keeps our body functions in check. If you want to know more about the benefits our method of fasting please feel free to ask. With love from South Africa
Hey there, I am a hydration specialist. I teach about why people lack energy due to cellular warfare; and how work is being done to the cells, I teach how to preserve the cells.
To anyone watching this video who actually had to ask which gender he was referring to when speaking of “menstruating and breastfeeding people” I would recommend a three day fast from air for you!
Those people are probably the same ones who also need to be asked if they are gender fluid or not lol and if so the next question to ask is are you a cat who demands to go to school and be treated and use a litter box as well? Yes, very true and the school has to make "accommodations" for this non-sense. My personal accommodations/ suggestions would have been to go to see a vet and also asked why would "cats" start attending public schools??? American people please wake up and take a truthful honest stand on your COMMON SENSE, MORALS & STANDARDS! If u don't stand for something you'll fall for anything and this is an obvious example!
I randomly decided to do the 3 day fast. I am overweight, 41, male, dad of 2 and my regular diet consists of home-cooked meals and pretty occasional mcdonalds, pizza, and Chinese food. I normally drink a pre-workout every morning because I kept telling myself that if I didn't, I would get a headache. I literally had ribs and wings on a Sunday night and decided to start the 3 day fast the next morning. it went great! I was hungry but not as hungry as I thought I would be, I was not hungry all day but intermittently, it came and went. I was not as tired as I thought I would be either and I wasn't feeling sluggish like I normally feel. By the second day, I was hungry but feeling in good spirits. Also, I had no headaches... I couldn't believe it, it's all mental. My brain was telling me I had to eat or have caffeine but I really didn't have to do any of it. Because I didn't really plan on it too much, I broke my fast with McDonalds lol I felt miserable. After the fast, I felt like I was eating a bit less and didn't find the same desire to eat. I am now doing the 3-day fast again, about 1 month later but I plan on breaking the fast the right way and hoping I can improve my eating lifestyle moving forward. hope this helps others.
I once attempted a water fast. On day 2, I experienced some trembling and fascinating spiritual things as I read and meditated on Jesus. My whole life changed that night. Many great works of miracles God allowed to happen. Faith is all it takes. I didn’t feel hunger even on day 3 but I was told to eat and stop fasting, because I had seen things in the spiritual realm and people didn’t believe me. My life changed forever since believing in Jesus and doing what the Word of God says to do with purity of the heart. Fear the Lord, it’s the beginning of wisdom. He brings knowledge and understanding like never before. God knows everything and everyone. And yet He still loved us so much to send His Son Jesus to save our souls to be with His Holiness in Heaven. Praise God in Jesus who is coming back soon!
I did it!!!!!!! I finished on Thanksgiving Day at 12a. I made this last minute decision after watching you explain how it helps your body. I only drunk Dasani and Nestle water for 72 hours. No hunger headache, no shakes, and stomach only growled the first day. Thanks for spreading the knowledge and giving me the courage to do this. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am a physically challenged person with more than 75% disability. I had finished my water fasting for 3 days as per your advice. It was a superb experience. I also did vitals and blood reports after completion of 3 days of water fasting. I have a minor lever issue that was resolved. Borderline cholesterol but now it's gone. Actually I have to lose weight to remain alive. Thank you very much for your 3 days of water fasting Dr.
Side effects nobody mentioned: - 3 or more hours daily available for not going to get food, eating, digesting, doing the dishes etc. Also waking up earlier. -Less money spent -Social relations and activities may suffer
For only 3 days, this wouldn’t normally be a bad thing. I just notified family that I am fasting over the weekend and can’t socialize. And I scheduled things to do with all the available time. I am enjoying the low spending though!
I’m on my Day 2 of water fasting and I planned to water fast for 3 days. It’s really hard and impossible in the beginning. But now I left 6 more hours to end my 3-Days Water Fast. I’m gonna get going until I finish my fast. Such a extraordinary experience it was ❤
The most benefit and the most awesome results occur in the third day. Push to do it. It doesn’t hurt you and only leads to ultimate health! I’m going to do it once a week starting in January to cure my heart failure. My cardiologist is thrilled that I raised y ejection fraction by 5 % after the first three day fast. Over time, doing intermittent fasting and keto every day, then three day fasts, I’ve lost 30 pounds. My EF went from 30% to 40%in a short time. I know I’ll reverse this heart failure, so don’t stop at two days. The third day is incredible and it’s the best
@@novelescaper361I started doing the 3 day water fast. I am on my first 24 hours and feel alright. Not too hungry. I need to reset my gut. I have high cholesterol and fatty liver. I have been exercising for over a month now and the scale has not budge (although I see that my body shape is changing). I hope I can be successful and would love to start doing this at least twice a year.
Following your s-day fast video, I completed a 3-day fast drinking lemon water-at 90 years of age, I had no problems; I maintained my electrolites and went from 170-163 lbs. I am a former lon-distance runner and still walk a mile every day. Thank you -I am in ketosis-BTW, I have intermitted fasted for the past 10 months. Continue with your wonderful work. TommyK
I started doing intermittent fasting last October and I went from about 215 pounds to my present 165. I feel pretty good. I did a 3-day fast against my family's wishes and lost 8 pounds during the fat drinking only lemon water; the last day was hard, but I finished it. I will do another 3-day after I get my weight back to 170. Thanks for asking,@@itspossible3381
I like how you mentioned MEDITATION and BREATHING EXECISES. Love this holistic approach, which is what is missing in modern medicine. You can reduce so much stress and anxiety.
Excellent content on these videos. I do 48 hour fasts 4 times a year. Hunger goes away on day 2. You’ll feel some brain euphoria at 28-30 hours and a boost of energy. Electrolytes are a big help after 18 hours. Hard boiled eggs and bone broth is how I break the fast
Just completed my first 3 day fast and I am def incorporating this into my lifestyle it was great. I’m excited about the life changing benefits and will definitely be sharing with my family and friends. TIPS: 1. Do it with someone else. Much easier when you have someone else along with you for the challenge 2. Stay full! Drink the water before being hungry. When you do get hungry go do something and it will occupy your mind. The hunger will go away. 3. We are used to just thinking we have to eat at certain times because we are used to doing it. We don’t. Mind over matter! 4. Start the evening before! You will knock almost half your time out for the 1st day by the time you wake up. For instance, I started 8pm on Sunday so then I could be done Wed at 8pm vs waiting until Monday and having to go the whole 3 days and not finishing until the next dayThursday.
I do 3 day fasts weekly until I reach my weight goal, eat healthy on the other 4 days…do not count calories ..my metabolism stays rock solid I love this approach as opposed to my old cutting diet..which would wreck my metabolism by continually dropping calories and my resting metabolic rate would go down…this is way healthier
Thank you Dr. I have done 8 years of water fasts 4 times per year or more... sometimes up to 11 days at a time. I ensure I eat FULL on Keto the week prior so I KNOW I am definately in Ketosis i.e. my body is now definitely eating my fat stores for energy. I drink water with the addition of one heaped tsp of dead sea salt and the juice of one lemon per 1 liter of Council pop (tap water🤣). The 2nd day is usually the 'ohhh,👀 ahhh' day... but there after it is a breeze. By the 4th day I am invincible and never need to eat or wash dishes EVER again....and after a while, suddenly... I know it is time to eat again. We are all unique so LISTEN to your system. The energy and mental clarity gained is INCREDIBLE! I use this to help me through ME/ Fibro/ CFS, for example, it is great to gear myself up prior to a family wedding or a holiday trip. Home made bone broth is my meal of choice when I know it is time to eat again... thereafter scrambled eggs. Listen to YOU though.
@@chucklombardo8167I’ve read a study that after 3 days water only fasts typically start to break down muscle. I tend to either add mild strength training during my fast when feeling energetic or before the fast knowing there will be some mild muscle loss. Not sure about the science there, I listen to my body.
❤🎉❤ Thank you so much Dr. I have completed my 3 1/2 day water fast. I have been doing intermittent fasting weekly for over 3 years choosing to eat celery and black raspberries. But I have never done a full water fast after seeing my blood diagnosis last week I decided to do it. I watched your first video and it encouraged me to do the water fast. I did three and a half days and the results are phenomenal. I do notice a hundred percent change in my body with all the things that you said in your video. And the bright eyes on the third day when I woke up everything was so illuminated my eyes were so clear. I can't thank you enough for sharing this information. I want to save anyone's reading the column that it is 100% effective but I see that in a lot of videos people who attempt to fast but have never fasted before say that it's hard. So I wanted everyone to also know that it is very important to follow his instructions. I know that the fact that I've been doing intermittent fasting since the year 2000 it wasn't difficult I only began to feel a little hunger 3 ½ days in, so I broke my water fast. God bless you.
I just completed my 3-day water fast today, and I did pretty good. I incorporated prayer to GOD every 3 hours for mental strength. I wanted to do this. Had no plans of giving up! I can't believe I just went 3 whole days without eating!!!! I am so proud of "ME" for completing the task. Thank GOD! I think the 3rd day was hardest for me. But did not give up. I drank about 2.5 gallons of water over the 3 days. I wanted to consume 3 gallons, but I struggled. It was hard to get the water down. I really need to be drinking a gallon daily. I experienced a feeling of weekness in my thighs and legs today, 3rd day, and I was rather tired day 2 and 3. I ended my fast 6pm this evening. I had chicken broth soup and a small salad for dinner. Felt good to eat. I think I might have lost a pound or two. I will be incorporating this fast into my lifestyle on a monthly basis. Thank you, Dr.
Just finished my 75 hour fast, super difficult for me, could barely sleep and I was craving food and hungry the entire time, but with electrolytes I was still feeling pretty good mentally and energy wise. I rushed into eating greek yogurt, sauerkraut and bone broth at the same time to break the fast, My stomach is currently on a spin cycle. I’m thinking some sushi tomorrow after making a vegetable soup for breakfast, I’ve never been this excited for food before and during the entire fast I wrote down all the recipes I want to cook 😂 I’m usually super lazy so the motivation is really nice. Thanks for the tips and the inspiration to do my first water fast 🎉
One of the BEST videos on water fasting. Direct answers to the true essence of a fast, while being 100% ethical in being upfront that he can't give a one size fits all plan.🙏🏾🙏🏾
42 hours done, 30 more to go. Thinking of stopping at 48 hours as this is the first time in my life doing any kind of fasting. I usually overeat, I'm feeling good though. Watching Doc gives push for few hours. Let's goooo!!!
@@kevinbustos7746 it was amazing. I wish I could continue. It was the first time. But I'm ready to go again. I think the first 24 hours are disruptive, after that it's smooth sailing.
@@anuragparvekar36That's amazing!!! congratulations, I intend to do a 72 hour fast, so far was only 15 hours, I felt extremely hungry and it's odd because I'm used to do water fasting, you gave me to push to continue moving forward, as you said the first 24 hours that are tricky 🙏🏽
Going on a Intermittent Fasting 8-16 for a week and have great oils and protein made it so easy to get on a 48 hours. Even my need to sleep every afternoon is gone, and I now I realise is sugar crashes that made me all sluggish and needing to rest every afternoon for 30 minutes. Thanks Doc.
Completed 40 hours on straight water. Pacing myself throughout the day, been driving and moving around as usual. Not sure if carbonated water (tonic water) is ok. Will start adding some electrolytes soon. An important part is that, I am trying to keep my mind from mental anxiety triggers, avoiding stress raisers and thinking positive. Feeling great already. This is fantastic 👍
About to start another 3 day fast .. I've learned to ween myself into a long fast by lowering my carbs for the first 3 days before my fast ..Then one day before my fast I only eat small abouts of protein and fats ..I find that my fasting time is so much easier and better .. I do exactly the same coming out of the fast ..I start with fats 1 avocado, probiotic and then about 3 hours later proteins Love to implement more intense spiritual works at this time also .. The only exercise I do are 30- 60 minute walks and stretching during this time
I started a 48hr fast once a week with the other days 16:8, and weekends no holds.. that way I keep the body guessing and maintain metabolic flexibility
I'm on 35 hours, considered stopping and wanted to get motivated again. Thank you all for the feedback, Im pushing through. I didn't expect it to be so hard, I'm drained and feel overall awful, but will take the electrolytes and salt and hopefully that will make me feel better. Keep pushing!
I’m just starting a 3 day water fast today. Primarily doing it for a little weight loss, but the health benefit are a plus! Usually when starting a fast I never stick it with it. This time I’m wanting to finish what I start!
I love this video. You are very to the point, clear & concise. I hate watching videos that go off topic or take forever to answer simple questions. Thank you for this. I'm breaking a 3 day water fast & needed the info.
Did this last week, I’m a land surveyor. Day 1 was tough, day 2 felt incredible. Slightly weak in the morning but by afternoon all natural energy. Truly helped me with a recovering concussion and clarity. Going to try again next month
🙏 Great info! My 1st water fast was like the flu. I experienced diarrhea, light headache & muscle pain, especially in my lower back. I mostly did little tasks, walked outside & layed around. Hot showers & the heating pad were helpful. My husband’s a NP so he took our blood pressure. He vomited & had diarrhea. We were going to go 7 days but he was having heart palpitations (he’s got an artificial heart valve) I’ve fasted 3x’s & a 4 -5 days water only & he uses the ProLon 5 day fasting nutrition program & he felt great. I had so much energy & felt AMAZING after my fast. It’s SO worth it! Best wishes! Also! Wow! Now I really understand how much time I spend shopping, cooking & eating food!
When I saw the video on fasting you have I was already intermittent fasting for months and after watching it Immediately did a 3day fast with teas, already did 3 of those each time better optimized. I'll do the next only with water as instructed here, plus the meditation and breath work I already used in the last two. I feel amazing, I love the purification factor and the health that comes with it. I'll probably do a few more ans then try a 13 day. Thank you Doctor! 🙏 much love everyone ❤
Am on Monday 2 and am feeling fantastic. Small rubble in my tummy yesterday. Walked for an hour yesterday. Am going for another walk now. Am due to break my fast tomorrow at 4pm with fish broth
I am on my third day today. I have been doing 3-day fasting for a while now and this is my worst. I am actually feeling so weak. I realy think that something else is going on though, because I was feeling quite tired on a daily basis before going into the fast. I am not blaming the fast and I am so adamant not to break it that I actually stayed home on the 2nd day because I felt so weak and was having some heart palpitations. I will go out today though. I might even push the fast into tomorrow. I'll assess how I feel. Perseverance will bring results!!
.. i started 7:15am earlier today (sunday) and its 9:44pm now, i am craving for food but am still drinking water every now and then so im not as hungry. Im monitoring my blood pressure and my weight, earlier was 87.2kgs now im 85.3kgs after using the toilet twice this day. My BP has lowered from 140/90 to 128/80 and i walked twice this day as well. I still drank my daily meds and vitamins which is the only solid stuff i intake. Im about to sleep now and hope i get to finish up to tuesday morn.. Ill update you tomorrow.. cheers
I committed to a 72 hour water fast, but I will likely go longer. My sleep is terrible, which is very offputting and I really want to put butter in my coffee, but I will persevere. Today is day 3 and I'm feeling okay. I have a slight headache despite using minerals and electrolytes. I come from a high fat carnivore diet and didn't expect to have headaches, but there you are. I do take 1/4 tsp salt twice a day with water to offset the headaches, but I think that yesterday I simply didn't drink enough water.
Dr Sung thank for one of the best explanations on Fasting. This my send 3 day fast and I added Himalayan salt to my filtered water on DAY 2 n 3 ... 💯💯💯
UPDATE: Completed 7 days of 23h fasts. Basically OMAD bc I couldnt handle longer. I LOST 5.5 POUNDS! Granted it’s water weight but still. Face far is leaving:) . PAST: I’m on my 1st day of my 72h fast. I’ll come back here for an update! Start Weight: 160. I have keto strips to measure my keto levels. - I have had hives and an unknown allergic reaction for 6 weeks. They flare every time I eat. I’m so desperate to find out WHAT I am allergic to that I am giving up food and introducing common allergen foods one by one after a long fast.
1st update: At about 28 hours I was feeling dangerously weak and heart was beating quick. I ended up eating a small well balanced meal. I could only last 17 hours after that :/ I’m entering day 3 tomorrow and going to aim for over 24 hours. At this point it seems like I am doing intermittent fasting. I can’t seem to last past 24h… Am I missing something here?
@@da-wz7cr You may have started by aiming a bit high. Try easing into it a bit slower. And if you didn't meditate then give that a shot, worked wonders for me during my initial adjustment period.
Going thru the same hives started back in January and flare up every Time I eat doctor advised to use over the counter levocetirize dig. 5mg and famotidine 20mg I started 2lev. And 1fam. In the morning and evening I slowly have gone down to one and one I began fasting two weeks ago while taking meds. Hives have reduced a lot currently I’am on just one lev. If I feel itchy if not I don’t take anything today I haven’t taken anything Broke fast with watermelons tomorrow will continue to fast agian and I haven’t seen or felt any hives been trying to read and look up as much info as possible on hives to see if I find something natural to heal I diffently feel it has something to do with gut health hope this was helpful and apologies for giving my two cents but I understand how uncomfortable hives are.Hope you heal well praying fasting helps us to reset our gut health lol.
Thanks! I completed my 3 day fast yesterday. Took coffee on day two and three. However, I exercised on day 2 heavily. Then I got tired on day 3. Thought there was something wrong with me as I was tired. But you've clarified. Plan on doing this every 60 or 90 days.
how dangerous is this if i experience hypoglycemic when i don’t eat. When i don’t eat to a certain point i get a little dizzy, light headed. Can i be in danger of triggering diabetes?
Do it 1st 3 days every month. I o ly have water. Day 4 water fruits oranges, grapefruit, grapes...day 5 fruit and salad. Day 6 fruit, salad, soup. Day 7 fruit, salad, 1 meal.
Thanks for the extra information. One of my biggest questions about 3 day fasting is whether this could be used as a tool to heal the brain from addiction and trauma. I personally have seen great change in my state of mind from intermittent fasting with a keto based diet added on. Sharpness, euphoria, calm, more productive, less incline to act on my addiction. I want to try and do a 2-3 day fast so I could potentially drastically heal my brain tenfold.
Congrats on getting clean. Yes I believe the 3 day fast would help you. It helps increase dopamine production which is the "feel good" neurotransmitter and helps heal the brain by increasing stem cell production. I use for a neurological condition.
I have 7 day fast starting tomorrow night and I have been preparing myself by eating one meal a day for a month now. So far I have lost 8lbs just by eating one meal a day.
almost 30 hours into my fast. not feeling hungry anymore. just feeling weak. came here for inspiration and I got it. other comments helping me to keep going so I thought I would try to do the same.
Oh my goodness! Perfect timing! I am just starting my 3 day water fast, maybe even more than 3 days! Thank you! Oh and what about lemon in the water? I always thought that was beneficial. I appreciate all your wisdom!

Thank you for clarifying the whole people/women issue. Glad to know you like to speak correctly and not pander to a certain segment of the population. Also a question: is a 3 day fast for 72 hours or is it 3 full days? If 72 hours I would eat dinner for example at 6 pm and then 3 days later start refeeding at 6 pm or 6:30. If its a fast for 3 full days I'd eat dinner at 6 pm then 3 days later would continue fasting, skip dinner and then begin refeeding the next morning. Which would be more like an 84 hour fast.
Hello, i am currently on 1 hour into my day 3 and i realized how exhausting this experience is. i underestimated fasting because i used to do intermittent fasting, i feel dizzy and a bit weak. i'm so excited to eat again and i feel grateful for the food we are blessed to eat daily. Coming back to this video motivate me and so far my days were : - Day 1 : easy but slowly got hungry around the night - Day 2 : i feel drained and my snacks almost tempted but i kept my cool - Day 3 : COMPLETEEEED 🥳🥳🥳 This experience test memy limits and i also lost some weight, i'm glad i finished till the end ! For anyone wanting to do these 3 days challenge, please eat well the day before you start it. I made a mistake to skip my meals, i almost fainted haha
EXCELLENT!!👌Video on Water Fasting. I've been Water Fasting on and off for years. (This is a great NO B.S. Video) Concise & Clear and very well explained. Great Content all round!
I have just finished a 3 day water fast and decided to break it with a breakfast consisting of Sauerkraut and miso soup. For lunch was two eggs and for dinner 1 egg and more miso soup. Day two was the same breakfast, miso only lunch and then 1 small salmon fillet, 2 eggs and miso again. I’ve been feeling good but, strange. My body feels strange and I don’t know what this sensation is. I initially started this fast in a hope to cure or at least improve my IBS. Funnily enough, during the fast, my stomach wasn’t hungry, but my memory of how good food tastes is what made me want to eat, even though I wasn’t feeling hungry per se. It was interesting and insightful though - hopefully I’ll see a positive difference in my gut and overall health. It would be good to have clinical studies done for fasting and IBS. 🤔 Thanks for this video - it was really easy to understand and clear along with some of your others I have watched. 👏
I am 2 hours away from the end of my 3 day fast. First time I've ever done it. Tons of energy. Some moments were hard. I am going to do this every weekend. I am losing 100 lbs. 10 down.
@@lifewithemitawilliams9811 no. I was a couple weeks in and did the water fast. But I believe it's possible. Since August 21 I've now lost 36 lbs. i’m raw vegan, one meal a day, 1000 cal, with intermittent fasting.
I am on my first attempt and on the first day. So far so good, but I plan to only go for 48 hours as I have not done this before, although I do OMAD on most days.
I am currently doing the 3 day water fast and today is the third day 🙌🏽🙌🏽. Today was a little different from yesterday and the day before. I felt depleted at around 9am. I noticed that my legs felt weak like I was going to collapse any given moment, thankfully I didn't and I did a lot of walking today. I also had a mild case of the shakes. I almost gave up because of how my body was feeling. However, it's the evening, knowing that when I wake up in the morning I can break the fast brings comfort. I don't feel as depleted, my legs still feel a little weak and the shakes have gone. Day 1 I drank spring water, day 2 I added salt to the spring water and day 3 sparkling water. How often would you recommend this fast??
I started this couple days ago, not going to lie the hunger pains are heavy on day 1 but subsided on the second day, I am not really fond of the salt, so I'm using "alkaline ionised water" which is full of minerals. I am using vitamins and mineral. This is very good to do now and again to get rid of all toxins in the bloodstream.
Hahahaaaa love this video thank you Dr.Jin! Welp I may crash and burn because after watching this I just discovered I may be glycemic. I am totally down to ride it out and see how I do. I have changed my diet recently to stay away from the carbs and I’ve been in the gym consistently all year so far. My only concern is the sweets, I definitely still have a sweet tooth and all this week I probably ate in total …. 10 cookies 😩. Homemade ones, vegan ones from the farmers market & a few Oreos. Feeling hopeful too however because I do intermittent fast! I don’t eat past 8pm - 12 noon the following day. That’s 16 hours, giving my digestive system a break so we shall see. Day 1 today, hour 22. Just woke from a 2 hour nap- on my way back to a nap or sleep. I worked out late last night and had some pre workout crack. It really messed me up and I wasnt able to sleep until today around 3-4pm. I slept for 3 hours, still feeling groggy. A little hungry but overall my body is telling me it needs rest still. 3 hrs of sleep will not suffice for a 24 hr day. Anyway thank you again so much for the content!! & your 1 take approach is genius by the way!
Lol I feel your pain. Chocolate chip cookies and Oreos are my weakness. I could eat a whole row of the Oreos lol. Good job though and keep up the great work
I attempted a 3 day fast a few days ago but only made it to 26hrs. So I'm trying again. Maybe I'll last a little longer without eating this time or maybe I'll get to the whole 72hrs. Fingers crossed!
Hi, Dr. Jin, I successfully finished my three-day water fasting this morning. I only took water, and nothing else during the tasting, exercised all three days in the morning, and did my routine work. I had mild finger tremors, and slight to moderate sleep disturbances, maybe that is because of my sleep cycle change. My blood glucose level went down to 70 -75. This was my first time and I was excited during the fasting and I was tempted to eat food most of the time during the fasting, but I was in control. I broke the fasting with a glass of milk in the morning, and later 65 ml of fermented milk and went back to sleep for a while. After waking up, I took one more 65 ml of fermented milk. I made veg soup for noon and had a bowl full, and later one more bowl after a few hours. Now I'm feeling great, healthy, and doing super fine. Thank you for the advice and all the tips. I listen to your lectures in my free time they are too good and informative. Thank you. Great day. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Hi, Dr. Jin, I said I was tempted and I had food cravings during the fasting. Will this mean that the autophagy might've not occurred? Or it would have happened? Such as a person fasting for more than 24-48 or more hours will clean up the system in the presence of food cravings? Could you clarify this?
I don't recommend distilled water. It will leach minerals from your body. But during a fast you need minerals. Just use spring water and add minerals if fasting longer than 2 days.
Thanks Doc! I started my day fast last night after dinner, steak tips with broccoli tops. My yesterday PM GKI was 1.7, ketones 2.7, glucose 82. I essentially don't do carbs or starch. That's the lowest GKI I've ever had.i believe that indicates I was in autophagy then which of course dinner broke. So I'm excited. My longest fast 5 days some years back.
I'm have gone up to three days of fasting but l did it with coffee and tea. . I'm found your channel yesterday. I made it through 21 hours just water. I feel good about that. I will go again today and work towards three days. I'm have been helped by Dr. Jason Fung on his channel and also Six Mikes To Suppers Kayla Cox channel. Glad l found you also
I've been doing fresh juice from fruits for my fast feel awesome all the time since I'm getting water and minerals in one. Nothing hydrates better than fresh juiced Watermelon
@@tkrdg7885 there's sugar in all fruit. That type of talk is for the man made items not natural items. U gotta get out the matrix. Watermelon and coconut are the most hydrating things u can consume.
Thank you for your work. The close concerning lean , construction workers is so me. Everyone is always talking losing weight. Not near enough talk of lean people trying to feel better. Thank you.
Thanks Doctor Jin, great advice. I successfully completed my first 3-day fast last Sunday after watching one of your earlier videos on the benefits of a 3-day fast and it was a piece of cake - really mind over matter. A friend is encouraging me to try a 5-day or 7-day fast, consuming only broth and water so I am very keen to hear your thoughts on this. Also how often can one do a 3-day fast annually? I only eat one meal a day.
I know some well know dr’s like dr Datis Kharrazian who helps people with immune issues will recommend up to 20 x 3 day fasts annually to heal the body. Twice a month is reasonable depending on the person.
Hey. Doing this to keep track. I’m fasting for 13 days. I also have finals so 😢. I’m doing this for weight loss and more discipline. I may stop at 10 days depending Day 1: 178 Day 2: 174 Day 3: 172 Day 4: 170 Day 5: 170 Day 6: 169 Day 7:168 Day 8: 168 I broke my fast Also: this is not sustainable cause I was so weak and tired so I had to break. What I have been doing instead is I downloaded an app called Lose it. And I log in my calories. I make sure I eat nothing more than 1000 calories a day. So far I’m avg 800 calories per day and I notice I am losing the same amount of weight. The app tell you the calories for everything your eating. And I eat watermelon on the morning it’s low cal. Squash Spaghetti afternoon it’s like 100 cal, Publix sub sandwich is large and very filling it’s 580 cal and if I’m hungry microwave popcorn is 100 cal per bag. I’m full throughout the day and notice I lose about the same amount of weight when I’m fasting

Don’t be hard on yourself…I have complete faith in you! Please let me know how it goes!

Nice job!!!
How did it go? I'm starting tomorrow, now eating chocolate😂

I would love to hear how it was a "superb" experience.

Side effects nobody mentioned:
- 3 or more hours daily available for not going to get food, eating, digesting, doing the dishes etc. Also waking up earlier.
-Less money spent
-Social relations and activities may suffer
For only 3 days, this wouldn’t normally be a bad thing. I just notified family that I am fasting over the weekend and can’t socialize. And I scheduled things to do with all the available time. I am enjoying the low spending though!
Would studying suffer too?

The third day feels like the best drug youve vet taken and it’s free. Don’t stop before the miracle.

May I ask how often you fast or do a 3 day? Thank you kindly for your share!
You can do friday to sunday and break your fast on momday. @@itspossible3381
TIPS:
1. Do it with someone else. Much easier when you have someone else along with you for the challenge
How’s it working out for you? I’m thinking of doing this! How much have you lost?
Does it burn muscle
Well done!

I've been working like crazy & have to catch up but....I absolutely love your channel & it has helped me look into my own health issues so much.
I'm very grateful.
As for those who like to be rude, we'll just keep giving them a chuckle & continue being happy in our day. 😎
❤️Dr. Sung rocks❤️
Coming back to this video motivate me and so far my days were :
- Day 1 : easy but slowly got hungry around the night
- Day 2 : i feel drained and my snacks almost tempted but i kept my cool
- Day 3 : COMPLETEEEED 🥳🥳🥳
This experience test memy limits and i also lost some weight, i'm glad i finished till the end !
Doc could you make a video on dry fasting, from what I've read the autophagy/healing effects are many times more potent
10 down.
Good 👍
Are you saying you lost 10 pounds from the 3 day water fast?
@@lifewithemitawilliams9811 no. I was a couple weeks in and did the water fast. But I believe it's possible. Since August 21 I've now lost 36 lbs. i’m raw vegan, one meal a day, 1000 cal, with intermittent fasting.
How many inches in waist you lose?
Very nice presentation. Thank you.
I am on my first attempt and on the first day. So far so good, but I plan to only go for 48 hours as I have not done this before, although I do OMAD on most days.
Good Luck Friend!
I did a 3 day fast you video helped me stay motivated thank you doctor
Once a year
That’s exactly how I’m feeling. I’m 65 hrs in and my legs feel very weak. Thankfully I can spend the day resting. Haven’t felt hungry at all.
Thank you Dr, sincerely appreciate your video.
Great follow up video. Thank you!
Am gonna start with 3 days fasting, cant wait to start next week.
High sugar in watermelon 🍉
@@tkrdg7885 there's sugar in all fruit. That type of talk is for the man made items not natural items. U gotta get out the matrix. Watermelon and coconut are the most hydrating things u can consume.
Thank you so much for sharing with us this idea it will really helps us a lot to whom really need to reduce the weight.
What is the recommended frequency of doing 3-day fasts!
I'm on my first day praying 🙏 I get well
Hey. Doing this to keep track. I’m fasting for 13 days. I also have finals so 😢. I’m doing this for weight loss and more discipline. I may stop at 10 days depending
Day 1: 178
Day 2: 174
Day 3: 172
Day 4: 170
Day 5: 170
Day 6: 169
Day 7:168
Day 8: 168 I broke my fast
Also: this is not sustainable cause I was so weak and tired so I had to break.
What the fuck happened mate? Just tell me😂
That's great
How did you do? 8 days later
Update?
I couldn’t find this comment. I was only able to do 8 days. So far I have lost 10 lbs
"People" got NOTHING ELSE to do complaining about that you Dr.Sung stated "People instead of women or men"! If America would be considered about real issues instead of genders this country would go a way better direction in the future and not be behind so much🤦🏻♀️ Keep doing what you doing and ignore the ignorance of people 🤦🏻♀️ YOU ARE A BLESSING TO THE COMMUNITY AND OUR HEALTH AND BODIES 🫶 All blessings to you Dr Sung 🫶
