Thank you for merging the videos together so that we wouldn’t have to go through a bunch to find what we’re looking for. I have started ADF last week and found that it gets easier every time as I can go longer without getting hungry. I have started to fast because I am a disgustingly overweight Christian and ashamed of my lack of self control. The Lord showed me that being gluttonous is a sin and that lack of self of self control is a bad look for a Christian. I have found that this method of fasting has changed the way I approach food, I am able to not give into temptation so easily and I make sensible choices when I break my fast as I don’t want to undo the good work my body has been doing repairing my body. I would like to do this type of fasting until I am at a healthy weight and then mix and match a different IF schedule to maintain the weight.

I'm interested in the protocol that you follow: six days/week of 16/8 intermittent fasting (your window of eating 12-8pm) and one day/week 24 hr fast. My question is do you start counting the 24 hrs immediately after your last meal at approx. 8 pm? EXAMPLE: your last meal is 8pm Sat, and it's now time to start your 24 hr fast. Do you start eating again on Sunday 8pm? I think I probably just answered my own question because if you went longer (say not eating until Mon at noon that would be a 40 hr fast).

I just found your channel... very informative.
I am trying to build some muscles through weight lifting... My concern is muscle loss due to lower intake of calories. There's a lot of claims that muscle loss is a possibility.
What is the mechanism with which the body uses burns glucose/fatty acids/muscles? Is there a sequence in which the body burns the various forms of fuel (glucose, fatty acid, muscle)? How much muscle loss will occur if one also practices intermittent fasting?
Thanks! Please keep these publishing these videos.

Personally I’ve been able to add muscles whilst adding muscles. The only thing is that you have to be ready for drastically reduced strength results during the fasting because the body uses the glucose better for this type of exercises.
