And I LOVE banana bread 😍 But I dread the amount of work involved in "her" recipe, albeit delicious... I will be ten pounds happier 😂 by the end of this weekend! Thanks 😊

We freeze our bananas whole skin's on. Remove from freezer, cut off one end, when mostly thawed squeeze out the fruit from the uncut end to the open end into the bowl. The skin on keeps the ice crust away.

There actually were three ingredients, bananas, flour and cinnamon. I thought he forgot to add nuts because most banana bread does have nuts. But then he said you could add nuts and chocolate chips, etc. So now I wonder if he forgot to show or add a baking powder or similar to insure it would rise? Saw this video 2 weeks ago and was intrigued. The banana bread batter is presently in the oven (at 375 F and I added a bit of vanilla extract--all other instructions are by the letter, including the cinnamon) First time I have baked without using a mix...without adding eggs or oil. Looking forward to the results.
Can blueberry bread be prepared this way too? (Ah...heard your end-comments about us making alterations. So, next time, I will substitute bananas with blueberries)
MAJOR SUCCESS!! The banana bread is DELICIOUS--and I get so much MORE of it for less money (than buying/using a mix). You've just added to my cooking repertory (if I can use that word here)! I will use this self-raising flour and sweetened evaporated milk foundation for all of my future dessert breads. NO MORE MIXES.

Immediately after l watched you make your banana bread, l had to try your recipe! I made 6 loaves, and l used less sugar. But everything else was perfect! It is the best banana bread l have ever made, my family loves it! Thank you so much from your fans in Canada!

I love this version. Will try it tomorrow! Also great tip to mush the bananas before freezing; I used to cut them up and freeze, but this is much quicker to use in recipes. Thanks.

Hi David I've never baked in my life, came across this video by chance and thought even I should be capable of baking this, so gave it a go, added walnuts and sultanas as some suggested and cinnamon, turned out delicious so I am now attempting more adventurous recipes.

Yum. Yum. Yum. Thank you so much David for the recipe. I made this and I have had a couple of slices lathered with some home made butter. Delish. Kicking myself that I forgot the cinnamon. Maybe next time. I always keep left over bananas in the freezer. Usually I make smoothies. They keep well. Banana Bread is an Aussie food staple. We're a bit weird that way lol. It is not actually a bread. It is a cake however it is super nice for brekkie if you pop it in the toaster. I will definitely be making this again with the suggested variations. Thanks again and great to see you back.

When bananas go dark, they are not going bad. Instead the carbohydrates in the banana are converting to sugar. Banana bruises are the rapid conversion to sugar also.

funny, and if i see too much black on my skin and inside starts to get mushy i cant eat them cuz ithink of them being spoiled or something so at that point i would bury them in the rose garden (i bury all my kitchen scrapes in garden to help the soil) ... next time tho ill have to try this bread.

I tried this but since I only had 3 ripe bananas, I used 8.5 ounce of condensed milk, 1.5 cups of all purpose flower, 2 teaspoons of baking powder with a pinch of salt. I also added approx 1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract, some cinnamon, chopped walnuts and a lot of chocolate chips and omg it came out incredible!!! Thank you for this recipe.
