It’s Metallica’s most ferocious songs I ever heard when I was 8 years old .. my dad’s favorite album.. this is about james wrote this song for the kids. He needed the band to really relate to their younger crowd so he made dyers eve. This song also has the most unappreciated solo ever. Kirk plays with such grace and speed at the same time. I have heard every Metallica song there is and this is one of their greatest masterpieces... My father & I play this song .. he plays the guitar 🎸 I play drums 🥁 I miss our Father daughter times
Actually the solo in Dyers Eve is one of my favourite if not the favourite, so intense and brutal like the song, unbeliveable speed and harmony section too... amazing \m/
Closest song to Dyers Eve I'd say would be Blackened... after listening to Metallica for 30 years, somehow Dyer's Eve, Blackened and Orion are still on my current playlist
Blackened is up there. I have a very personal connection with To Live Is To Die. It was played at my friend's funeral and he had the main melody sheet music as a tattoo. Had a heart attack at 41
Totally down with Damage Inc and Disposable Heroes. Think these girls already reviewed Fight Fire with Fire. Damage Inc. is my favorite Metallica songs and one of their heaviest, but Dyers Eve is up there and I think I mentioned it before in the comments section. Hardly anyone reacts to this song and I can't understand why because I think it is in their top 5. But, I'm glad someone else suggested it because it is a great song by Metallica and the solo is awesome.
@@kingdrax I've been listening to Metallica for 35 plus years and have seen them in concert countless times. Their first 4 albums are all masterpieces in their own right. But I have my favs like everyone else. Wouldn't mind if they reviewed Trapped Under Ice off Ride The Lightning. Don't think I've seen anyone react to that song.
Metallica's most underrated song. Has always been my favourite :) Its just pure energy the whole way through. And the breakdown is sooooo damn good every single time, never gets old
The song is about James' childhood growing up in a very christian family. He lost his mother to cancer being a teenager and the family's faith meant that they did not believe in medical treatment but that their belief would cure the desease. The lyrics describes his anger relying on their christian belief.
She was involved with Christian Science religion, which is different from Christianity. Traditional Christianity believes God put doctors here to help us and God will heal us. We do not believe going to the doctor is wrong, nor do we believe taking medicine and getting treatment is wrong. Not saying there aren't some that believe that, I don't know. But his mom was involved in Christian Science which unfortunately believes that, from my understanding
Justice is one of their best albums. Justice, Puppets and the Black Album are basically spotless. You can pick anything and it's a can't miss. If you haven't heard Leper Messiah, you should listen to that next. It's bad ass.
Mine too. I'm 21 years old and still living with my family and it's my last year (4th year student) on university. My father and mother are hard muslims, and i don't know any goddamn thing about life. They don't teach me anything, they don't allow anything. I growed up like a plant lmao. I did crazy things because of this, for example i entered a s*x shop last year. Bought nothing and just looked the b*tches for 15 minutes. Lmao. I fighted with my father in the car 2 years ago, and he stopped the car in the MİDDLE OF A BİG STREET and yelled to my face with 140 dB: "YOU ARE MY CHİLD, NOT ANYONE ELSE!" then, the fight is over. I was talking about other children who is free and doing everything like working, coming home at late whenever they want (I'm not talking about 1 a.m or 12 p.m, we are eating dinner at 7 p.m everyday. I have to eat with my family, i can't be outside.). I'm 21 and i still can't look my phone freely. Sometimes he tooks my phone and hides it. And we are in the quarantine for almost 1 years. Bro, i'm in hell. I'm in the fucking depression. They are looking down to me. They are talking rubbish. They are hiding my phone when i want to watch anime or drama. Then they are watching TV 3 hours non-stop. They ALWAYS calling me from my room to living room (TV is in the living room) when something exciting happens in drama. When i refuse they are coming to my room and took my phone/pc if i'm looking to my phone/pc. For them, reading book from phone isn't equal to real print books. I have got so much fucking bad memories, both inside the home and outside the home. But my english isn't that good so i'm keeping it simple. I really admire James. At least he learned the guitar. I bought a guitar but i can't practice it. They are immediately coming to my room and talking bullshit. I want to break my guitar because of them. I don't want to turn back to home. Ever, never. I will think about what should i do when i go to military service. I somehow lived so far. Listened music like a maniac, cried a lot. I thought suicide in highschool but i didn't. Cause even i hate my family i'm still believing in Islam and suicide is forbidden (you go to hell if you do that- what a suprise isn't it? lol.). I can clearly say Islam saved me. (No, i'm not hating the whole Islam because of the two people.) I'm studying on science teaching on university. I will PASS the fucking exam and I'll get the fuck out of here. Like James...Because literally my life depends on it.
The absolutely most thrashiest songs from their pre-Rob era: Metal Militia, Fight Fire With Fire, Trapped Under Ice, Disposable Heroes, Damage Inc., Dyer's Eve. The old school Metallica fans that refuse to like anything new from the band don't realize this, but their latest albums actually have more real speedy thrashers than their earlier albums.
Other relentless Metallica bangers are: Damage Inc., Blackened, Creeping Death, Battery, and Disposable Heroes. Though not a banger in the style of Dyers Eve, Sanitarium may be my all time favorite by them and it's been that way with me for over 20 years. Also, I'm damn happy y'all liked this song as much as I did. Great video.
The song is about James Hetfields stricked Christian science childhood. His father left and his mother died from cancer when he was 16. She didn't get medical help, she thought God would heal her. He wasn't allowed to go to science class and do a lot of things because of the religion. He gets it all out here.
Lo mejor de la reacción "no tan lejos carajo" casi me muero de la risa, veo que la habéis disfrutado mucho... Gran reacción, gran canción, siempre metálica. Gracias.
This is one of my favorite metallica songs (the other is one) it took them about 15 years to play it live and was most requested songs for them to play live at the time. The switch you refer to is technically the chorus but they don't mention dyers Eve in the lyrics. I've always took this song to be about a teenager struggling with their parents and they finally move out and discover the parents were right and they miss them "I'm in hell with out you", but I could be wrong about that interpretation, I have been listening to it since 88/89 and I was a teenager
Awesome! Glad you girls liked it so much. Try the song "Frayed Ends Of Sanity" off this same album. It one every Metallica fan wants but few people do. I think you'll love it!
@@Roger-ws8rj never gets old to me. I could listen to that song every day and sometimes I do! The official music video annoys me, though, because of how they keep talking over the music.
The singer james grew up in a christian science family. Father left early, mother died of cancer early refusing treatment due to their religion. Lots of emotional release for him here.
Yes girls!!! I love the energy. 👌👌👌 The last song of my favorite Metallica album. You should do the whole album. Definitely listen to "To live is to die" by them from that album. Beautiful song. Keep up the reactions. 😉

They play much faster ones live, this one is probably one of the slowest speed metal song they have at 192 bpm. The thing is that song is difficult to play live because it has many riffs and tempo shifts. It’s not as straight forward to play as most of their catalog
Not sure if anyone else said this but... Jame's father left his family when he was young and his mother died of cancer. This song is about how James was terrified of the real world being by himself. Deep song with heavy lyrics.
Hi girls! I saw them on that tour in Chicago. That was the last song of the night. Remember it well! They have always been a great band! Life long fan! Great video!!!!
Actually tempo is slower than MoP at 192 bpm, MoP being around 210 bpm. They play the drums on 8th notes beats which makes it sound faster. Except in the chorus and bridge section where they play the drums at normal quarter notes beats

@Two Sisters React "Dyers Eve" is about James Hetfield's parents as well as how they kept him in a cocoon for most of his childhood due to them being Christian Scientists. Christian Science is a religion where you don't accept any conventional medical care and that God will fix your ailments. James' father left when he was 13 and his mother died when he was 16, so I hope that explains the lyrics of the song. "The God That Failed" on the self titled album a.k.a. The Black Album was about James' mother as well as the fact that she died because of belief in Christian Science, and "Mama Said" from the album "Load" was also about James' mother as well as how he wanted to ask her a lot of things, just a lot of questions left unanswered.
Yes, one of my favorite Metallica songs. 👍🏻 I’m surprised you haven’t reacted to one of Metallica’s inspirations, Rush (at least, I don’t think you have). I suggest you start off with “Tom Sawyer”, the official music video. I think you’ll love it! 🎸🥁🎹

James had a horrible childhood, This song is just a small insite of why he is how he is❤❤❤❤
@iwtmltyb weed does that 😆🚬
@iwtmltyb bruh why didnt you correct him and then say,

To Live is to Die by Metallica to. It's instrumental but it's so beautiful and powerful.
To Live Is To Die was written using Cliff Burton's unrecorded riffs to honor him, and it compliments Orion perfectly.

I’m surprised you haven’t reacted to one of Metallica’s inspirations, Rush (at least, I don’t think you have). I suggest you start off with “Tom Sawyer”, the official music video. I think you’ll love it! 🎸🥁🎹
You started with Metallica's The Unforgiven. but you have not listened to The Unforgiven 2 or The Unforgiven 3. you guys are awesome and can t wait to see more from you.
