I’m 60 yrs young and I’ve been into genesis from the early 70 s,I can honestly say this is a great cover, whenever I hear the first note of any genesis track, I go on auto and flash back to the days when I was stoned off my Barnet and tripping to the mesmerising sound of Gabriel, and the music, whilst banged up in prison, it really took me away from my confined surroundings to a surreal dream world, I fucking love it to this day,
The only tribute band I have ever liked paying homage to the best band ever, Genesis. Thank you so much, Genesya, for helping the younger generation get acquainted with this wondrous band Genesis, music that will be heard for centuries to come. A tribute band worth listening, good luck, guys!
That is a very clean sound, well done!I must have listened to Camille's Squonk cover a hundred times, glad to hear this new stuff. On another note I look forward to the day when the musician's gender is irrelevant. She's not a good drummer for a girl - she's a good drummer full stop.
She isn't a good drummer. She changed all the groovy parts of the original track with dull ones, and above all, all fills were similar throughout the song with little dynamics. Btw.. the keyboard player is terrible, and singer can't play the flute!
All fits, not only the drumming, that is fantastic of course. The piano, the guitar, and the voice is very, very good. The bass i will apreciated in better way when i listen it in my equipment whith big baffles. Now i am listening in my computer with little headphones. Thanks for the interpretation.
Probably the most technically accurate drumming of any Genesis covers I have heard, I think even Phil didn't quite manage this level of consistency from the early Genesis years to later in his career (Though Chester got close). I feel inspired to get back on the drums again. Whole band are great, but as a drummer can appreciate the craftsmanship of drumming. Bravo.!

This is world class. Every instrument was played to perfection, what a tight group of exquisit musicians. The vocals are insane. PS: I will marry that drummer.
We wish too... The multi-track recording stopped shortly after the beginning of this show (software bug). All we had was the raw console output, and a good sound engineer to make the best out of it.

can I find a version of this that just focuses on the drummer the whole time? I could listen to her playing all day, it has all the subtlety and texture that Phil put into it. the whole group is fantastic, no doubt, but she is just such a badass and nails these drum parts.

great performance! my only suggestion is to get that pedalboard Rutherford uses. it is an important that is the Genesis sound, especially in this particular song
What is amazing to me about this performance is this - it is both underlyingly, and on surface, very minimalistic. Though, the output magnifies this to a degree of which can reach beyond the original band's performance.
All are great, Camille and Fred are stand outs. Boussacre sounds great at Collins, but PG is tricky. Even Hackett's singer Sylvan can't nail it. IMHO one has to approach Gabriel as an old blues singer that just happens to be the singer in a prog band. Richie Havens on the Steve Hackett song 'How Can I' somehow goes to a place that's Gabriel-esque. But wow guys! What a fantastic job!

Despite the overall sound being more “salon” than “arena” - this is wonderful playing of a wonderful piece. A level of accomplishment to which all “tribute bands” should aspire.

I'm English & we have produced a few reasonable Rock bands over the years but Genesis......Genesis were VERY special! Great cover BTW!
