Call me weird, but lately I've been obsessed with watching Tool reaction videos. I love watching people that enjoy them as much as I do.
Youre not weird. Ive been doing the same. This is my favorite song, maybe of all time. Love seeing how other people react to how good this song is.
I’m with ya guys. Since I guess July I’ve just been in a Tool reaction addiction
Same here, especially Pneuma reactions!
Yup, on that train right now
Same here. Wings for Marie is my fav to watch reactions for. Hits me in the feels every time. I think its because we get to watch people feel what we felt our first TOOL time.
As an almost 64 year old woman, I can honestly say I am more connected to this song than any other song I"ve ever experienced. Perfection. Connection. Love and beyond.
Well said. Always good to be that passionate about music!
I love this. I saw them in Raleigh NC last month and it was amazing to witness the variety of Tool fans. I'm 39 and there were lots of guys and gals there that were much older. What do you think of the other songs?
Venture over to 7empest off the same album. You're welcome. 😉😁
Love all the songs on this album. Saw them in January in Toronto for my 64th birthday. I was for sure one of a handful of seniors, and enjoyed it just as much, if not more than some of the youngens. They just speak to my soul. Ageless.
@@milvertonmom50 That's awesome. I'm 46 & went to the concert in Nov here in Pittsburgh. There were all ages. I'd say 16 up to 60's, all styles from collared young girls to button down shirt older grey haired men.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
When I listen to Tool,
My neighbirs do too.
😂 😂
She gets it
😁
My neighbours have yet to complain... then again, why would they?
Very good 👍🏼
Can we all just stop and admit that Tool are the best band to have ever graced this planet.
Ain't tool but meshuggah comes pretty close if you're into their style.
Kaya Kavaklıoğlu they’ve toured with em once before - Adams a big fan of the shuggah
Yes....yes we can
I saw Meshuggah open for Tool in Norfolk, Virginia many years ago. Is was the most insane show of all time.
@@schmeat7609 meshuggah? Wtf
His reactions are just so haunting. The best is he never stops the songs, no explaining, just feeling, apreciating, getting surprised, catching the vibes.....it is like he is expressing my feelings and it feels so fucking good, I feel so connected through that music with all of you, that feels like praying
Amazing comment haha
Well said. Peace & love
His early reactions in the car were so raw and real, my favourite reactor because he genuine
Yess! This isn't a reaction channel lol it's an experience 👽🖤
♾🙏♾
Her: *silently enjoying every odd beat, eyes closed*
Him: *freaks out in any given direction, falling off the chair*
Loving it! 😁👍
Exactly lol 👽
The whole album is a masterpiece. Can't wait till you listen to 7empest.
That song will blow their freakin brains out.
Dylan is not ready for 7empest
@@alexgram1276 He really isnt.
it took me a while to like it, the guitar sounds annoying at first for my taste
Yes he is! lol
This album, in my opinion, is THE best rock album of the last 25-30 years. I mean that seriously, and I’m no casual listener. I really enjoy studying music and really getting a feel for what the band is expressing, how it effects the bigger rock scene, the effect it has on loyal fans and new listeners. I’m telling you these guys are composers not just musicians. True artists in every sense of the word. Their music has a way working itself into your soul and grabbing a hold and changing your perspective on a lot of things. They have even changed the way I listen to music and what I listen too deeply in any genre. Just purely freaking incredible! Enjoy your journey into the Tool realm!
jason kouches 💯 couldn’t have said it better myself
This song is the PERFECT symbiosis of music and words. It’s HIPNOTIC!!!🤯 Untouchable masterpiece.
The Goat Child 💯
You will lose your shit when you hear Descending.....if you haven’t yet.😉👍🍺🥃
Best song on the album. And possibly my favorite from them all time.
David Bovey Phenomenal
Agreed I really think this is one of their best songs they have ever written it truly is a masterpiece I can't get enough of it or this album.
I might be inclined to agree with you!
Yup
It’s way up there.
I think this one and Invincible are 2 of the best they’ve ever made
"Eyes full of wonder"...and eyes full of tears. How envious I am of Adam, Danny, Justin and Maynard, to have been part of this pinnacle of creation.
Sean Fee my eyes have teared up to this tune almost every time I give it a listen. Words fail me tbh
I am always amazed at how four talented musicians can create such wonderful music. Tool make it sound so easy but are extremely complex to keep time with and play along to. I’d consider myself fortunate if I can create something, even if it is just partly on the same footing as their one song in my life. 🔥🤘
10:00 this riff is just legendary
The family that Tools together stays together.
Tim Hodges Lol, Nice
Yes bro!
The riff starting at 10:17 can't be loud enough !! I swear Justin must be playing that Bass with a sledgehammer . .
Agreed. Can't wait to hear it live.
Mike D Justin’s bass tone is phenomenal let alone his writing/playing
In a decade, few albums are produced where each track is legendary. This is that album. Awesome. I'm 61 and train at the gym with pneuma as the opening song on my playlist
He hears it.
She feels it.
Perfect to watch.
Thank you
Dylan "the mothafuckin reaction legend" Caldwell
agree ImI
The only way I can describe Tool is like that I have an itch in my soul and each note, each melody, the timing and everything in between scratches that itch.
McKay Haynie So that’s what it is. Explains why I’m so all over the place every time I listen to this band
Tool = Best Band Ever.
That’s an actual possibility. Considering their pretty much spotless discography....🤯
Tool>music industry
@@m0j0d84 most of the grunge bands of the '90s also did 7/4 almost as a feature. Especially Soundgarden but you can find it with Alice in Chains a lot too I think.
Literally heard this song for the first time yesterday...my mind is blown
The smile on her face says everything.
This was literally me when I heard this the first time.
Awkward Dawn Right on love it 🤘
Pink Floyd: ‘Hold my beer.’
Rush: ‘Fasten your seatbelts.’
Tool: ‘Get ready for takeoff.’
💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
I’m just going to be here and say this. This song made me cry the first time I heard it. Fucking immaculate. Scratches the itch in my brain. Great reaction bro keep em coming.
I was teary eyed when they played this song right in front of my eyes. That's them! Those are the guys who made this masterpiece of a song! Seeing this live is a visceral experience like no other! Now, I live vicariously through other people experiencing TOOL for the first time. I cannot survive any other way.
Is Pneuma the progressive rock Stairway to Heaven?
No, that's Echoes
Pneuma is Pneuma. Period.
Nec Ro and obviously you missed what he was meaning....🤦🏻♂️
Tool is just heaven I don't need a stairway they have put me straight in there.
Way beyond....
Back in '93, when i was 17, I bought Undertow, and was an instant Tool fan. Since then, Tool has served as the soundtrack of my life, playing throughout many of my experiences. After waiting so long for fresh tunes, the nostalgia was off the charts!! On my first listen I had uncontrollable fits of exhilarating crying. On my second listen, i had an LSD flashback, and tripped for hours. For my third listen, I plan on wearing a space helmet!! :-D
Zane LMFAO, I hear you man absolutely love it 🤘
Very similar situation. I enjoyed Undertow. Personally for me the release of Aenima blew me away still to this day my fav album. This new album though. OMFG!
I was 28 in ´92, nothing good on radio. Looking around the dial, i stumbled across university radio...everything changed!
Fan since 92 here! They are the fucking best band ever!
Invincible is my favorite on this album. To be honest, they’re all amazing.
First few listens of the album for whatever reason I couldn’t get into Invincible. It was probably my least favorite. It was a grower, but when it clicked it clicked hard for me. It’s up there as one of if not my favorite on the album now.
Invincible is strong lyrically, but is not quite up to some of the songs instrumentally and has limited dynamics in maynards vocals (dispassionate voice through most of the song, as well as the ponce de leon section being strangely cadenced ). It also gives a sense of build throughout without giving any satisfying peak, which i hate in progressive music.
joshua payne couldn’t disagree more about maynard’s vocals. The melodies he and the band makes are great in “invincible”. And the instrumentals are just like every tool song. Unreal.
Wade Matthews Yep, we’re going in order of the album
joshua payne the peak is at the end when it gets fast again lol
Ive been listening to the album in my car every day for over a month now and love it more each time it starts over.
rx7dude2006 🤘
Me too man half hour to work half hour back. Then I try and watch some reactions to hear it again for the first time, vicariously, (wink wink..nah sorry bout that) through others' ears. Such a masterful album from the lads
Me too, I just can't stop listening to this album!
Every day........period. Masterpiece 🤘🦍
I've had Undertow in my jeep for 7 yrs.....I understand.
11:18 you weren't expecting that last one hahaha best song off the album which isn't easy.
Dusan Mandic Lol, i didn’t expect a lot on this crazy ride
This is game over dude! This is game f***ing over!😁✌️When I see your reactions It's like I'm listening to these songs myself through your ears! That's because you listen to these metal songs the way they are supposed to be listened to. This is pure emotion man, it' like you have saved the ability to recall what it feels like being a child, being pneuma! Eyes full of wonder! 😁We all look forward to your genuine reaction to another masterpiece called 7empest✌️
Denis Zhirkov GAME OVER INDEED!!! That’s Exactly how I feel and why I love experiencing phenomenal music like this it makes me feel like a kid again. It’s like a ride Not knowing where it’s going and just hanging on. And man I’ll never forget this one. Absolutely Phenomenal ✌️😁😎
Well said!
@@dmusiclife5727 Sounds like mushrooms lol
Joseph Goggiel No, sounds like Tool
@@dmusiclife5727 Wasn't meant as a negative comment..I love Tool :0
Your wife said it all with just one word . 'Namaste'!!! Thats the mic drop right there for this absolute euphoric masterpiece.
Relationship goals
FINALLY! Invincible next!!!!!!
Resident Krockhead best song!
@@dookwan78 Every song on the album is the best song on the album.
Yep, going in order of the album
Man With Two Eyes This ☝🏻. Pneuma for me is the most unique and special, but the whole album is top level
@@dmusiclife5727 Listen to Litanie contre la Peur before Invincible
And Legion Inoculant before Descending
I was at Aftershock in Sacramento, October 2019, when they performed Pneuma live for the first time. They closed the show with it. It was a religious experience.
Everytime i watch a reaction to this song, the people are having spiritual awakenings. Its so powerful and beautiful
Damn man, you’re lucky your wife enjoys this with you, or accepts the joy it brings you! I heard this first time, alone, by a fire near the ocean, I cried that night and many more now and have since been writing about life so someday my two beautiful daughters will read it and possibly understand why their dad is the way he is, this is so powerful, beautiful and well TOOL! Keep rocking!
FoolishMortal Thats for sure man no question. Luckily my son is a spiting imagine of me so he just has to look in the mirror to understand his crazy dad lol. Thanks for the feedback man really appreciate it 🤘
I’m a septuagenarian and honestly, all you younguns 😉, TOOL music is my zen. I plan many days making my listening experience an event in a comfy position for the old bones and a great headset. Back in the day of experiencing tranquility tanks, I wish there was Tool music back then.
It’s my NIRVANA. 😎✌️
And it just gets better with each listen too. This song alone is worth the 13 year wait to me
DieselBudgie I hear that. Literally “pardon the pun”
I remember when I first heard the song at midnight. Jumped straight to it as the first was the single already released before the album. When I heard this, I was already smiling to much and happy. Once that heavy riff hit I couldn't stop laughing in so much joy! I was so happy to finally hear more Tool and I legit teared up a bit. Years of happiness. And that breakdown around 9:00 wow.
There’s nothing like hearing it for the first time. You’re right, it’s that unpredictability where you don’t where it’s going. It’s great that we will always have songs like this to listen as many times as we want, but there’s a sadness in not being able to hear it for the first time again. The album is so good!
I was at work the day it came out. I skipped Fear Inoculum(listened to it a hundred times by then), and started Pneuma. At that first break down, I sat down. Dropped jaw, eyes full of wonder ;)
Unbelievable man Tool takes the life outta the earth best band in the Universe...hands bow down
To think I was alive for Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Tool.
I can die now!
I think this is basically how all of us felt after 13 years of waiting and finally hearing this. The reaction is basically identical to mine.
That said, I still react this way to old Tool songs too :D
justinman114 🌀🌀🌀
Haha At 10:01 your wife lost it. Your reactions with the wife are gold, Dylan. Love the Jinjer shirt btw! 🤘
Sal Carollo That she did man lol. Thanks Sal🤘
I lose it at that part every time and I've heard it sooo many times already. Pure radiant genius.
Once she asked about Adam Jones, I just thought to myself I hope you’re ready and knew her reaction would be memorable.
We all loose it 10:01. Epic.
pneuma is an incredible band
Yea buddy, (pauses Netflix binge) and nice! Little Caldwell isn’t camera shy anymore 😁✌️👊
CYBER DEMON lol, nah he crashed the party luckily it was towards the end. 🤘
Dylan Caldwell hey, it’s progress 😁 prepare yourself for the “Ok so when are you doing the next song on the album” comments. Peace bro good stuff as always
Slick Boy D you fucking NAILED IT, I’m on the end of season two just started a couple days ago 🔥🔥🔥 😁
I can relate to the story about almost driving car off the road listening to this....I nearly fuckin crashed at the drop after the big break 😂
I've only just discovered Tool properly through my late uncle (passed away in January 2020) and I inherited his music collection, last conversation we had was about this album. I like to think my new found love for Tool was my real inheritance from him. RIP Phil x
Is that your wife, mate? She's a beauty!
You guys are going to flip out on 7empest. Adam goes even more nuts than usual.
You might want to save it for the grand finale.
Mouse Shadow That she is I’m a lucky man no question. We’re going in order of the album and I hear that’s one incredible ride
Or save it for the swan song and epilogue.
All I can say is this album is amazing!!! 65 years young and still Tool blows me away!!! Peace ✌️
Does other peoples reaction ever make you cry? Damn onions
The best reaction to one of the best songs ever created.
He doesnt need to say something his own expresion says EVERYTHING HE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR 13 YEARS
We loves mrs. Caldwell!!🤗😘🌹
How do you compose a guitar riff like this fking amazing Adam!!! You can tell they grew up in the 80’s had inspirations like Zeppelin
Brother I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this video. Can't wait to watch this one!!! Had to comment before I listen, never done anything like that before.
Love this song, love this reaction. Now that is how music should be experienced.Great job folks❤️
paul palumbo 🤘
Not knowing Tool very well I went and saw them last week and I can say it's the best concert I've ever seen. At 55 I've seen quite a few shows. HOOKED
I saw them play it live in Raleigh NC last night and l can honestly say I was moved by it.I am a 42 year metal head and had the fucking chills watching it live. The entire show was amazing but Pneuma was special. I have seen TOOL 4 times but they are waaayyy better now than ever! I just can’t say enough good things about this band this song and the entire new album.Long live the mighty TOOL 🤘🤘🤘
Dylan, I’ve been watching your stuff for a while and enjoy your reactions with your beautiful bride. But this one was the best so far. Both of you were in the pocket enjoying each other and this masterpiece of a song. I loved it!
scrptar129 That we were man and it was outstanding. Thanks man
I wish I could listen to this song for the first time again. "Rollercoaster" is the best way to describe that experience. What an absolutely wonderful masterpiece.
Mike Oley 💯
The more I listen to this album it just gets better. I can't believe so many people dont like it. That does not compute.
The whole album is absolutely amazing
Pneuma is killer🤘
Phenomenal 🤘
One of the few channels that I actually enjoy their reactions. Love how Dylan just go nuts, lol
No no 🤘
I can’t wait to see your face with Invincible, you will totally love it!!! React to it soon please. Love your reactions guys keep them coming!!
Carlos Martinez Danny Carey uses some form of sorcery on Invincible.
Nothing can beat Tool, well almost nothing…I fraking love you two. Thank you
I love that y'all soak in the entire sound without being distracted by lyrics and videos.. best way to experience new Tool songs for the first time.
Go for 7EMPEST as a next reaction, 16 minutes of insanity where ADAM JONES plays the GREATEST guitar riffs in his whole CAREER. the finest art to ever hear from a guitar player
Hichem Belhaj
No no, you have to eat your dinner before desert like every good kid
This might be my favorite off the album, but it’s tough, they’re all so good
RevahsMada Yeah man this was phenomenal 🔥
@@dmusiclife5727 Exactly right
One of the greatest songs this band has ever put out
Love watching people experience these songs new for the first time.
Tool has this incredibly broad appeal because of the mastery of their craft and the depth of their lyrics.
Literally the best album I've ever heard!!! I find something new every time I listen! Went to Denver show no going to Nashville show! Bucket list is fulfilled!!!
Yeah, everyone breaks out into those smiles at 2:02 when they hear that bass line. :)
Wonderful, isn't it?
Watching those smiles makes me want to believe humanity is not lost yet.
this is the most sincere reaction ive seen on youtube
Bryan Duhart I think we did a good job representing every single side effect that comes when listening to Tool
So when one really listens to a TOOL song and embraces it, it is so stimulating that a person will hold thier breath until the end, then once the beautiful sound we have been graced with comes to an end.....we take a deep breath and can only utter the words "Oh My God" then we know we have been given a great gift... that gift is called TOOL!!!
THE GREATEST BAND TO EVER GRACE THE HUMAN SPIRIT.
One of the BEST bands ever created! Done
Kelli Frumento 💯🤯🌀🔥
Descending next please!!!!, nice video as well. Seeing TOOL at Little Caesars Arena in November 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Me too! Cant fucking wait!!!!
Nice!! I went all-in, signed up for ToolArmy and got VIP tix to Halloween in Milwaukee! Enjoy the show fellow Army members ✌️
I literally dont like little ceasars arena at all...but I'll go there for Tool😁
U didn't get to see them did you cause of covid?
I love your energy and reactions man. Truly fun to see and to watch another Tool fan being born. Been there since the early days. Keep it up.
heartmusic82 Thanks man!
The greatest band of all time...period!!! Only the lucky ones get it!
It’s amazing how close studio and live sound. This bands talent is , is just wow.
Can´t wait to see your reaction to Culling Voices… I know you guys will love it… ;)
Unfortunately, I wasn't ready for it. I first listened to it on my way to work. Which is only about a 7-8 minute drive. And where I work, once I pull into the parking lot, my boss is probably already walking towards the front door to give me orders. So I didn't experience it in its full glory the first listen. But On my way home, I blasted this again, and didn't get out of my car until it was over. It was like the whole band just raped my ears.
PLEASE, do not leave out the MASTERFULLY INSANE skill of Justin Chancellor. He is Amazeballs.
That’s how you must listen to Music, CLOSED EYES, just feel and enjoy the trip🤘🏾
Bro, I was about to ask you when u was gonna jump into these new songs! Glad to see y'all
You’re a blessed man, and I know you know it! Which makes you all the more deserving of it. Keep on!
Ash Shabudin 💯 that’s for sure thanks man
The drum cam of Danny of Pneuma is absolutely insane and beautiful.
I love how Danny uses HIS drum kit as an INSTRUMENT, instead of a rolling backdrop.
i can't take this album, most fun ever.........legendary
I knew this would blow your mind, so glad you're both finally enjoying this masterpiece of an album.
MJKisLegend 🤯
I don’t know why I get so much joy from watching ppl react to this song. But…exactly!
The WHOLE album is simply amazing.
I love everything the drums the gutter bass and of course the master Maynard
Youre reactions with your wife truly give me joy!! So authentic and truly special!!
Stephen Grimsrud Thanks Stephen
I think it's awesome your wife sees how much you love Tool through and through and she's happy seeing you happy. Positive vibes my man.
Childlike, genuine.. vulnerable.. open mind.. open heart.. This is how to listen to great music that moves the soul.. Let yourself go.. be in the moment.. let your emotions go for a ride... "swing on the spiral"..I'd love to see them live with people like yourselves... Great review.. !!
