This is a perfect example of the two types of Tool fans: the ones that just chill back, close their eyes and take in the music, and the ones that lose their shit lol
or the perfect example of two types of tool fans, the one that took a joint before or the one that drunk alcohol before...^^
I am both throughout different stages in a song 😂
Tell me im not the only one who gets totally emotional watching ppl love music and react to it this way.
Yep i do for sure :P
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I can’t even explain it properly but now that I’ve seen several reactions by various people of 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2), I can’t even listen to it anymore without crying. It never used to happen, but once you see ppl react to it and get emotional and really delve into the lyrics and their meaning, it opens up this emotional wound in me that I can’t control. It’s like even though I’ve been a huge fan from the start, the experience of listening to Tool 30 years later has improved because I’ve seen the way it affects ppl who are listening for the first time.
It's beautiful
It’s one of my favourite pastimes. As a musician, I love seeing the effect it has on people, it’s so much more raw than just words.
10000000% dude😊
who else has been here since the car days watching Dylan lose his shit to Gojira
Still waiting for embrace the world from the link alive
the old days
I was there, but then I was gone for a long time. Now I'm back
I loved the reactions on gojira. I wanna know he reacts on lamb of god- memento mori. More like gojira than tool. Both are awesome in their own way.
Yup
Favorite Tool song? The one I’m listening to when I’m asked lol
Same thing I always say!
Marry me
Yup
Lol, and the one your about to listen to next
Jambi is my favorite
"If you're a Tool fan, and you listen to a track and can put it on the back burner and come back to it, it's like a million times better."
That's why we love Tool reactions so much. We get to relive our first times vicariously through you. We're all just trying to get back to that place of pure bliss and excitement and awe that comes with a first listen.
Yes, exactly and these two are the best
I feel like with TOOL it gets better the more I listen to it. So the first time wasn’t the most enjoyable.
I'll say it again. Re-listen with your wife.
DISPOSITION, REFLECTION, TRIAD.
Spiral out brotha and sista 🤙🏽🤎
Parabola also bro.
YES
THIS x 100000000000
Man this whole album is a killer I can't skip any of its song. Fucking masterpiece.
It's about time she got to hear an epic Maynard scream. Always enjoy seeing how much fun the two of you have.
That breakdown after Maynard's long scream is my favorite Tool moment
she seems SO beatiful from the inside to the outside, I mean it because of her expressions and smiles
The crowd at all the Tool concerts I've been to have been super cool. Everyone talking with each other, everyone just rocking out to the music together and singing along. It's a very amazing experience. Hopefully we can all come together soon and experience that kind of thing again.
Indeed. Saw the mighty 4 a few months ago. I had a real nice conversation with the lady sitting next to me about how much we love this magnificent band. We go to concerts to experience live music and experience something otherworldly at a Tool performance. It's a beautiful thing. I hope we get to experience that again real soon.
Yes it's the best.
I went to a Tool concert in February by myself, but all the people around me it was like we all knew each other for years and went as a group. About 10 of us rocking out together, first time we all met. Bucket list moment ticked off right there.
I went to the one in Fresno,ca this year it was the best.
It was my 5th time seeing them and it keeps getting better. I like the ones at the arena better then a Festival, seen them at aftershock 2 times so when I went to an arena to see them it was just them and it sounded 100 times better . I was glad it was just them got to see them longer.
"The Grudge" is the song that always takes me directly to outer space. It's like a shaman chant, so hypnotic and powerful. I still remember it so vividly when I bought this album, putting the disc on the cd tray and literally having and out of body experience with this song, and that was only the beginning. Man, this band is just so out of this world!
HIGHLY agree.
And then Reflection kicked in :)
@@sicboi80 and then Ticks and Leeches destroyed the speakers
The best TOOL song is the one you’re just listening to. Fact!😁 That being said....The Grudge is just.....special....the groove, the scream, the outro....never gets old!🤘🤘🍻🍻🥃🥃🤗🤗
She looked like she was having her photo taken down Splash Mountain during the scream. Loved it. Subscribed.
Whenever someone asks me my favorite Tool song, 3rd Eye is my immediate reaction. But, in reality it's 100% mood driven.
This right here is the real answer. It’s mood driven.
Third Eye will always be my favorite
That riff at 5:00 always gives me the goosebumps. I saw Tool live in 1994 with Primus at Caddy's in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was the second concert I had ever been to. One of the best nights of my life.
Impossible not to move your head when that shit hits! 😂🤘🏻
Bro same, I was just thinking about how many shivers came from that part too which is strange because it's so hard and groovy - yet super euphoric, fuck this band is amazing.
Same here with the goosebumps... one of few songs that gets me going :)
YESSSS! That SCREAM!😋 Tool Army Strong!!!
Lateralus album from start to finish is a pure masterpiece, every song gets you to a higher level and by the time you get to the end with Disposition-Reflection-Triad (you should look at these three songs as a one whole song, witch it is basicly) you will be enlightened.
While I absolutely LOVE TOOL... that's not how enlightenment works lol.
I've heard those 3 songs so many times I find myself skipping them all the time now.
Best album of the 21st century by far
Lateralus is by far their best record! The best work of all the members for sure. 💗🙌🏽💀
One of their most underrated tracks! The groove in this song falls into some JNCO sized pockets.
JNCO sized pant legs
True. Even though it's Tool it actually feels like it's music
Tbh I wish JNCO’s were still a thing. They looked goofy but got damn they were comfortable. Plus those pockets…each one was like a damn backpack.
Edit: stupid autocorrect
@@darenmiller2218 you could fit soooo many unopened CDs in there!
Please!!! She needs to hear 'Jambi'! I'm sure she will say that's her favorite song too 😂
Lateralus is an amazing album, the grudge is one of the greatest opening tracks. I wish I could've seen them play this song live unfortunately I missed their 2018 tour but was able to see them play last year 🤘😁
FI tour was the shit 🤘🤘🤘
Rubaida Allen, it was indeed!
I saw them open with this for this tour in 2001. They started with this. And did Eon Blue Apocalypse/The Patient.
This has to be their best song and I don't say that lightly. It has it all. Insane build up they're known for, some great mellow sections, a fantastic tribal type of drum beat, and to top it off, a killer drum solo to end it with.
It doesn't get better.
"The aura around it"- exactly! It's a collective consciousness of how their music MOVES you/crowd! As said before, "you can listen to music- but you can FEEL TOOL"
Whenever I listen to T⚙️🗜L full blast my neighbors do too! 🤘🏼
My number one favorite TOOL song right now is the one I'm listening to, which is the Salival version of Pushit. After that I'm gonna listen to The Patient which is another number one favorite lol
No zoom ins and no pausing every 5 seconds. I love this channel.
Every Tool song is a brand new song everytime you listen to it.
Your original reaction to this in the car is one of the best reactions on UA-cam without a doubt. Your sheer state of utterly stunned at the ending was so pure and perfect. I love that you love Tool now dude! Keep it up!
The Grudge is a song that you come back to over and over again just to get punched in the gut by the ending. It's so hard-hitting and epic. The production is fantastic, the layers are beautiful.
Oh, and don't forget to listen to Opeth - Harlequin Forest Live At The Royal Albert Hall. From one huge Tool fan to another, you'll be blown away!
You hit the nail on the head there's no way you can pick a favorite tool song cause there all my favorite
"There's more there's more" Yep, should have just kept going and done the whole album. Every part of a song sets you up for the next part. Every song sets you up for the next song. Hands down greatest album ever.
When I was about 13 I was looking through my dad’s large cd case and saw this black CD with a saw blade printed at the top. Didn’t even know who the artist was, just knew it kicked ass.
Wings for Marie/10,000 Days revisited for the wife's sake. She will absolutely love it 🤘
Oh hell yes.
That's not a bad choice at all. Then of course, they'd have to do The Pot just for the bridge("Weeping shades of indigo, shed without a reason" part) and false outro before the verse kicks back in
Always great to see people getting introduced to the kinds of music that have been so important to me. I feel envious of you in many ways!
I'm so with you! Tool fan for 27 years. Whenever I see people reacting so positively to music that means the world to me, it makes my heart smile.
I remember when I first started watching your reactions you were flying solo in the ride. Are you going to run the gauntlet again with the old lady? That would be sweet. You can never get to much Tool. Thanks for the reaction guys 🎸🤘🏻
The final of that song is like a spiritual awakening...is the beggining of all
I've watched all your TOOL reactions and you really make me happy, then I realized just now...
Why in the world I'm not subscribed ???? We'll I am now...
My 7 yr old daughter heard me listening to Right in Two and now obsessively requests it every time we get into the car. Is it their best song? Like the quote you stated:"The last Tool song you heard is their best song". So again, love to see you both react to Right in Two.
Mmm yeah right in two has such an epic buildup I love it so much.
My little one fell in love with Tool with Pushit. And I took her with me to see them for the first time ever after being a massive fan for 20+ years and it was the single greatest night of my life. My baby got to hear her song too lol she was elated to say the least.
This might be my favorite Tool song for the following two reasons: 1. This is basically my first impression of the band because it's track 1 from Lateralus, and 2. I remember an issue of Modern Drummer magazine featured a transcription of the whole outro drum solo, and I ate that shit up. I can't help but full-tilt air drum along to it anytime I hear it now.
This is the F'N shit. Dude, I love your reactions. So intense. This is how Tool should be experienced. Lord have mercy that outro indeed. Hearing the Grudge live nearly 20 years ago is something I will never, ever forget 🤯🤯🤯
Super jelly right now. The Grudge is one I've wanted to hear live and missed out each time I've seen them.
@@TheOriginalHairyDave
It's crazy good live. I got to hear it 3X in 2001 and 2002. I wish they would do some of the masterpieces from Lateralus live now. That album is pure gold.
@@rubaidaallen2764 I lucked out with Parabol/Parabola just before everything got cancelled - still absolutely amazing!
@@TheOriginalHairyDave
Oh my god yes. I nearly cried when I heard the intro. So happy we got to see Tool live before this Covid shit hit. Everything is so topsy turvy now. I've had to postpone a trip to Europe, all concerts were either cancelled or postponed. I had tickets to see Tool a second time. So heartbroken they cancelled the tour.
Ok who remembers beevis and butthead, sober? I was fortunate enough to see them in 1993 in Norfolk at a small venue called the Boat House. Held about 2500 people. I was 19 in the navy and they changed my life. Thanks beevis and butthead and believe it or not MTV. Back when they played music
You have to do reaction to Rosetta Stoned
Killer watching them both to Maynards 36 count scream!!
"I want some more" says his wife--
Ha! We TOOL☆BLOODS know that feeling! Love these folks!!
My 1st Tool concert, Verizon Wireless Irvine meadows opened with THE GRUDGE what a way to start the show, absolutely fucking awesome
I still say you should watch the video of John Kew playing The Grudge on the drums. He's the ONLY youtuber who can cover a Tool song properly, the ending will blow your mind to actually see the craziness
For me, the greatest piece of music ever. The Grudge is my favourite song of all time
Forty Six & 2 was the song that made TOOL click for me- definitely recommend you two check it out!
Nothing like Tool and will never be again. What amazing times we exist in, eh?
This is the type of crazy awesome music that would get warriors psyched up to go into battle!!! Fucking amazing!!
No way! I just checked an hour ago hoping you posted a new tool reaction and now you post it! Fucking right dude! Cant wait to watch!
This song slaps you in the face 4-5 times when you least expect it. excellent
Growllll growllll growllll. Get me every time
Your definitely not alone dude...i love watching people react to awesome music
yassss so true ... A live Tool recording is great but being there live OMG they are even better
This is one of the best metal albums ever. Greatness.
Saw TOOL in concert and this song was amazing live,
being in a band.. that is the ultimate goal… to get everyone connected is the best feeling.. and for me it’s specific shows that i played.. but for TOOL it’s every night. amazing
25 second scream never gets old.
Staying with this album, Parabol/Parabola is a must!!!
"I am too, connected to you"...
Love your reaction Dude.
Keep rocking to Tool.
Love from India
Tool Army in da house
Love to India :)
More people need this in there lives
We definitely understand, we love you two
I'm so happy to see you come back to this after the car days and experience this with your girl. It puts the icing on the cake! Keep well and keep doing what you're doing.
Great reaction! You should try ticks and leeches again. The drumming and maynard's vocals are nuts on that one!
You know it's serious when you push the cans in.
You two are the best when it comes to tool reactions… I feel, we feel. And that is rare
One of the greatest workout songs out there- I can get the dam elliptical to levitate listening to this!!
You're always labeling your vids that you revisit "with a passenger"
... Dude you have to do Passenger by Deftones with Maynard. Please bro. Love your videos. And your shirts are always the tits man.
Yes! Might be a weird couple-moment but still funny to watch 😉
Disposition / Reflection / Triad 🤘
"There's more. There's more. Yes?" Girl, we feel you on that. Been listening to this song since it came out and it doesn't matter that it's like a full length album in one song ... we all want it to keep going.
This 8s the most connected to a TOOL song I've ever seen you guys....I fucking love it!
I fortunately got to see Tool twice in concert in the last year and would have seen them again in June. Depressing to think how long we’ll have to wait to see them come round again. They’re not getting any younger. 😂
Please revisit "the heaviest matter of the universe" by you know who , i still watch this video of yours , in your car and it still gives me goosebumps !!!!
This is is the best "love video"....Erica and you are meant. You have your eyes closed, but loving you and the experience
Your Girl and Your man.....good vibes. Keep Tool....best
Damn, that shirt!!! It's cool!!!!
The TOOL effect at their live shows.. Definitely makes us connected and feel alive and one unit. This is what the country needs right now, but in a political sense. But wtf would that be? Would it be a meteor as Maynard put it a while back?
In order for it to happen with politics we need to get the corruption out, at least make lobbying illegal again. So yeah, it would have to be a meteor at this point.
@@TheSilael Agreed.
This is why I’ve seen them 9 times and 3 times we caught them in one city and followed them the next day to their next location to see them again. Not many bands would do half of the set different from one night to the next. Also, “The Grudge” has my vote for all time greatest concert opening songs ever!
Please do a reaction to Jimmy.....most underrated TOOL song IMO.
Your tool vids always make me smile haha
I had "heard" this song in passing when I was younger, but when I really HEARD it for the first time, I made a decision that I had to master it on drums. And I'll admit, I probably never came close, but I felt like I did. This song pulls you in.
Love how you can see the moment she becomes completely taken in by this masterpiece. 4:22
Hey guys! Hello From Russia!!! I would like to say that I really love how you FEEL the music. Because most reactions on metal music based on "oh i'm the dude who's not listening metal but WOW HE IS USED SCREAM/BLASTBEAT/OTHER METAL STAFF!!11!1111". But you are really know HOW metal works and when you hear really NICE metal shiet you are really go insane like me and this is focking incredible. I really love yours channel and I'm happy that this emotions happens not only for me and there are other guys who can share with this. Good luck. My "like" button will be always with you :)
Well I’ve been sharing your madness of the love of Tool and they are just totally enjoying your reactions.
I am so grateful that I have ears to hear
Tool is for ones who enjoy it, and enjoys it a lot
Yeah !!! That’s a reaction!!! Love it!!!
This video gives me eons of life
Love your Tool vids. Wish you had one every day lol. Loved your chat after the song. At a Tool concert, everyone there knows they're walking into a kind of teleportation of the mind, a soul touching spiritual journey of sorts that takes control of everyone there for the length of the show. It's hard to explain, but it is real. Cheers!
When they release an album I listen to it solid for like six months or so because there is so much to take in! And live are nothing short of outstanding! 😎
It always tickles me how the music physically moves you.
7:40 She loves it! She’s got it, from now on if you’ve heard it before, suppress your ques. I can understand the celebration for hearing it again. You pick up something different every first 1,000 listens. But 3-8 listens are tremendous
Arms open wide was appropriate at the crescendos.
The best Tool song is the one your listening to. My wife and I saw them live and she looked me square in the eye and "I get it now".
Oops... she said..."I get it noe"
Now...holy F. See what Tool does to me...GD
Best music best wife best reaction + a little whiskey
By the way, I love the way the two of you experience the music. The way it was meant to be.
Yes!!! More Tool!!! Love the channel man, love seeing the passion you two have for music. When can we get a recap on when you guys saw Tool live? What your thoughts were on there live show and how they sounded and all. Keep it up the reactions and keep on rocking 🤘🏻
Ive heard this song a thousand times and I still pretend to do the scream every time. Great primal therapy
My first time hearing Grudge.........and I'm out in space too!
Right In Two.
You'll loose you your mind.
RIP Danny’s drum kit.
