There is another kind of molasses that has way more vitamins for your plant. I looked at vitamins in this and it is less than in the other brand. Wholesome sweeteners organic molasses. The Black Strap cost way more and as less vitamins. It has calcium potassium iron and magnesium. This brand has I will look... only iron and potassium I just looked and I know that guanto has a lot of the good vitamins also and man does it really smell bad. That s*** works no pun intended
Why does everything on your channel have to be "the truth about"... then you come back and make new video's saying your "the truth" video wasn't even correct.

I use unsulphered blackstrap molasses every year in a cocktail with vitamins and minerals etc. Don’t use too much of it at once though as you’ll get ants. The cheap stuff doesn’t say unsulphered ,so I have to buy the more expensive brand.
the type of carbohydrate you use depends on the types of microbes you want to target. what makes molasses good is that its a pretty even ratio of glucose, fructose and sucrose which covers a wide range of them. blackstrap molasses is more concentrated yet thinner than regular molasses. barley malt is also good because it has maltose but its low in other carbohydrates. it also contains gibberellin which is a growth hormone. coconut milk contains zeatin which produces bushier plants and denser buds. it also has vitamins, minerals and amino acids. i prefer great white to recharge because it has a much wider rage of mycorrhiza and bacteria but it is more expensive.
I've had fungus gnat issues sometimes when using molasses BUT I've noticed they only get bad when using molasses with Ocean Forest or coco. Gnats love coco smh. Anyways, I can't close my tent for long due to temperature issues but a 1/4 inch covering of decorative sand will kill gnat larvae in a few days.
I use a blend of fireweed honey and molasses in my compost teas. I’ve never had any pest issues using it 🤷♂️ my girls have taken to it very well, throughout veg and flower. If my girls are struggling a bit, I give them 1 tablespoon molasses with their watering. A bit more energy for their recovery plus using soil, it feeds the microbes as well. Tons of good info my dude

Fungi cannot feed on the sugars in molasses according to Elaine Ingham PhD. Weeds benefit from a bacteria heavy soil, and that is why medicinal plants thrive with molasses.

I use blackstrap during all stages of growth.. my theory is if micro and macro nutrients are good for a plant during flower it should be good for the entire life of the plant.. I do only use about a half strength at all times
Long time molasses user here! Can be used each watering, but no more than a "dime spot", when settled, per gallon. Too much molasses can cause slime build up on the roots! Not good! During the later half of flower, I've been switching to Honey. I've heard more Mangenese is required in flowering plants, in comparison with Magnesium(this was from "Build-A-Soil", where they have a special made batch made by/from "Bio-Ags" soluble Humic Acid w/trace minerals, yet with extra Mangenese), though I haven't noticed a difference myself. "Golden Barrel" non-Sulphered Blackstrap Molasses is a great deal by the gallon! From Amazon, I believe.👌💜🙏
The slime build up can be true but because they need to get fed and watered so often, it shouldn’t be a problem. At least it’s never been a problem for me. And yes I’ve been telling people for a long time that you need magnesium during flower which is why I also give them Epsom salt. Golden barrel is pretty good but I prefer Plantation. But as far as the magnesium, it’s good but you also need the phosphorus. You don’t need one over the other, it works best when you have them both pretty evenly distributed. At least that’s what’s been working out for me.
I use it the entire grow usually but more so in flower. I don't feed nutes though I only top dress so it helps keep the soil going. 100% put blackstrap in your compost tea
Molasses has all sorts of "good stuff" in molasses & its so good I tried it and never stopped for the last 4-5 yrs, Its especially good when plants are older, My leaves do not drop off/yellow & I end up with lots of good big buds & more leaf for making eatables/tinctures. Molasses does not attract bugs either.
Using black strap unsulphered molasses with a mix of sohum and happy frog. And pH correct water. Nothing else. And my crop is amazing in week 6 of flower now and it's my best harvest ever.
I got busted with a crop in 2009 and I was using epsom salt and black strap molasses. With a 50/50 mix of ocean forest and happy frog with cocoa fiber. It’s nice to see that it’s still being used today
Well I learned something new today, I didn't know that not only can you use unsulphured blackstrap molasses to make rum and it makes it very good rum.. and it can be used for my plants, that's awesome
I agree that BSM will produce better results. It is rich in many types of sugars, plus many vitamins and minerals. But don't think your plants can absorb large carbohydrate molecules through their root membranes. The molasses is to feed your aerobic bacteria and beneficial fungi living in the soil - which break down the complex carbohydrates into much smaller molecules, such as nitrates, phosphates, etc. that are easily absorbed through the root membranes. Love your videos!
Thanks for advice. I've heard this before. I flush but use molasses during flowering. Last harvest was oh so good😋🤗. Less than 30 days away from next harvest. 4 Papayas

I do mostly the same for them as photos just less of it and know you were saying during flower but just want to double check with the Scene. They are 4 weeks old and one is heavy into preflower now, should I feed it now or wait another week or so? And would you do it for only a couple weeks, only once or what I don't want to mess them up! Love the show, you always have the best content, Quick question, in your opinion could using the molasses early in veg start promoting and building the microbes in the soil so by the time you flower you already have a good base? Just a thought, may do more harm than good.....
Feeding the microbes in the soil is beneficial to your plant throughout it's life process. So yes feed throughout your veg period as well with the molasses.

Growing just became legal here in New York City. I'm so hyped about horticulture. I ordered some seeds from ILGM and I'm currently growing under the vivosun vs 1000. And it's ok but I purchase a marshydro ts3000. My tent is 4×4 so I figured let me get the right light for that space. Again, all this I learned watching the 420 scene. Good lookin out and I'll be sure to send a donation to the channel. Ohhh... I remember seeing an episode where you said you were getting married. If you did congrats homie...stay blessed
Bro bro bro this just hit me like a ton 9f bricks. Knowing what is in your soil is so important 10000% also I use Molasses threwout my hole grow in veg and in flower along with everything else .like in my soil I have dry kelp dry worm castings and dry bat guano along with my normal feeding with my general hydroponics liquid feeding them in soil coco Loco from fox farm.also I put about 25% pearlligh I think I spelled that rite lol .ok so with this I feel like it does a good job and I've been doing this for around 2 years now and it's been great for me and this is what works for me I can't speak for everyone here.but fir me it works 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Do a segment on Honey bro. I've used honey before and it worked out pretty good.
I actually did a segment on honey, well now I don't even know but I think I did. Look through the videos, I know I talked a lot about it because people were giving me crap about honey that would attract pests even though I didn't have issues with pests.
My 2 plants started flowering at the same time, also they are different strains. I dont know when it will be done, but im thinking its close now, . I think its time to let them fade and stop the feedings. Those are still the ones i started in 1 gallon pots and transplanted. They both have 13 huge colas about the size of a 12 inch foot, the main one is bigger and im amazed. I never grown plants that stack like this. Maybe im getting better at growing. I think its because they are autos.
I also really like super cropping to getting explosive yield results too.
Dude got videos for everything 😅 right on brah I appreciate ur help I learned about 7 things from the channel 🙏🏽💯
haha your recent videos have been perfectly complementing my first time growing. the 50/50 strawberry field on bottom/OF mix is turning out awesome with my 4 week old autos. thanks for your videos dude
Me too, first grow, 50/50 sf/of and blackstrap molasses with recharge and ff trio at 1/2 strength, no issues yet! 6 plants looking great
@@DavidRaleyLLC Awesome! I’ve got recharge, about to get molasses. no other nutes here besides cal mag and silica. wondering if I’ll need anything extra for flowering or if the SF will be enough
Absolutely, glad my videos helped you out.
@@420scene do you recommend any extra nutes or boosters for an auto in flower with this method? or wait to see how the plant handles it.. so many damn “bUd BoOsTeRs” and snake oil I wasn’t sure if you had a recommendation besides a tea
Thankyou,Bro! awesome as always!!
Another great video. Thanks. Big fan of molasses. I personally use it for finishing. Molasses NPK is about 1-0-6. After watching this video I'm going to try it throughout. Got me curious. Thanks again bro. Rock on
The first few years when I started, I never used molasses and then I started hearing that more people were using it and then I started using it and had great results. Yeah I actually didn’t know that was the NPK. Thanks man. Glad you enjoy the videos.
As far as Mr. Grow s comment on honey I think you're pretty safe unless your growing on an ant hill. Lol
GRETTINGS FROM PUERTO RICO! AND ABOUT THE MOLASSES..A MUST!! HERE ON THE ISLAND WE MAKE OUR OWN CUZ WE GOT SUGARCANE FIELDS IN THE AREA..😎
Your my favorite UA-camr imma join your patreon
Thank you for this video 🔥💯really really helped
Glad it helped man.
Glad to have another channel for grow info. 👍
Def.
We want to hear you rock the Gibson.
You can actually listen to my music on SoundCloud. I have it in the description of my newer videos. And I have a pretty sweet lead guitar part in one of my songs. If you dig the pop punk or punk rock scene you’ll enjoy it.
East coast Virginia 😊
Great job on information and laughter 😃
Can't hide behind those classic shades!
*We know who you are!*
Love your videos very informative and not dragged out like some other channels
I try to make it more entertaining and fun. So anyway, are you really a nerd in da hood?
@@420scene yea comic book guy from the hood not to many of us 😂😂😂
Great way to pick up the fumble 💪
And ran it for a TD.
I actually dislike weed but molasses is bad ass!! I’m drinking it in a glass of water daily. Hope u guys consider helping u thrive too💚
Molasses is good, i have never used it myself, i like Sucanat Crystals, they are also really good.
I'm using a blue fertilizer and all my plant's are 12 feet tall and a lot of long white hair's
How often do you feed molasses? Once a week? Every feed?
Once every two weeks or so.
can I use unsulfured black molasses along with with GAIA 4-4-4?
Yes. I do.
earned a new subscriber, good shit brother
Thanks for subbing up broski!
I've got my auto grows in 15 gal containers outside and I only water and or feed once a week/.
Grandma's is def good, usually easy to find, too. 👍👍
Everything is easy to find since Amazon is here. haha.
I was taught to use it but it also can be bad for the soil it rots and can attract pests
I feed banana ffj with molesas with banana peels and bloom amendments, will all the sugers mess the plant up or is the bulking of suger in the flower stage a good thing for bud development, taste and smell.
Thanks again for sharing the knowledge bro! I picked up some Grandma's molasses today and I'm curious when you would recommend feeding auto's with it? I do mostly the same for them as photos just less of it and know you were saying during flower but just want to double check with the Scene. They are 4 weeks old and one is heavy into preflower now, should I feed it now or wait another week or so? And would you do it for only a couple weeks, only once or what I don't want to mess them up! I clipped my first indoor photo and it's hanging for dry now, looks beautiful thanks for all the input. Yall have a good night!!
Before the baby buds start stacking is when I hit them and I use it for a couple weeks in autos and a longer for photos.
Just got a case of 4 gallons with shipping 55 grandma’s Unsulfured I’m going to hit them up I should be getting it in a few days best price on the net nine dollars each I think it was like 15 bucks shipping
Have you ever tried using Loran oils for bud tast and smell ?
Love the show, you always have the best content, Quick question, in your opinion could using the molasses early in veg start promoting and building the microbes in the soil so by the time you flower you already have a good base? Just a thought, may do more harm than good.....
Feeding the microbes in the soil is beneficial to your plant throughout it's life process. So yes feed throughout your veg period as well with the molasses.
I'm growing outdoor waffle cone and raspberry punch my problem is just the inner leaves on the intersection of the plant are starting to lose their color and I want to know can I feed my vegetating marijuana some molasses cuz my guts telling me they need some magnesium and cal all I've been feeding them is grow more 20/20/20 and Verde has a full year spray and in the water
What up my dude i just wanted to no i want to follow you dry amendments for the soil when doing giagreen while i make my soil with that when done can i just drop the autoflower seed in the soil my dirt is promix hp
Do you put molasses first? Then armor si and cal mag and my base nutrients. In which order should the molasses be used?
I used Blackstrap Molasses right after doing a little pruning and, i could definitely tell a difference the next day. Its like the olant forgor what i did. 😅😂
I agree with everything you just said about blackstrap molasses today was the first time I have ever in my life heard anything bad about blackstrap molasses it was at 4:20 magazine site they're trying to say how it destroyed the flavor well not the one person tried to say the flavor of your buds I couldn't believe that so I had to come in reassure myself I'm not the only one that thinks find sulfurated black strap molasses is The cat's meow.. thank you 🫵😎 I gave you 🫵😇that big fat thumbs up and subscribed😎👍
Don't you have vinasse in the US? It's molasses where the sugar was extracted and reduced to 1-10% or so and it's commonly used as a base for organic fertilizers like Biobizz
I so appreciate you and your channel. ❤️💪🏼🌱
Yes the molasses works great my buds started to come out and used it the next day I saw thay loved it thanks for the tip .gm96
Heck yeah man and I think they contribute to the trichome production.
O man also I do use honey .and the honey I do use it organic honey.not sure if that matters but that's what I use .
Used molasses a few times but switched to organic sucanat. Soo much better.
Why
Thanks for the really good info.
How often do you add it to your plants? I’ve heard every couple weeks? Or is it something you add more or less frequently? Thanks in advance!
Every other watering
I'm lazy and like products that combine multiple things lol. I'm sure it's been spoken on before. But I'm curious your thoughts on Recharge? You think it has enough molasses in it to carry out the beneficial effects?
Following
@@Budzeez Who, me?
That's understandable. It's like the all in one compost tea. I love Recharge, I talk about it LOTS in my grow videos.
@@420scene been there Brodie , was following the recharge question. I still use it in veg but wondered about using it in flower
Thanks for the tips..when mixing yiur tea wirh the blackstrap...when does the water get ph'd? After the BAN gets added, or before? Thanks doggie
How many times per week ru feeding molasses in flower?

Happy 420 from South Louisiana

Have you ever thought about adding Manuka honey?
