I actually have one with the factory 5.3 in it. Black 2wd crew cab. Made 325 to the tire on pump gas. Has a small cam in it with everything else all stock.
I also swapped a 4.8 SS2 into a regular cab short bed Colorado. I basically used everything that the black 2009 truck has from the factory so it was a perfect fit. Work in progress. Sounds nice with the cam.
Hi Matt.. it's Jack from Riverdale Speed. Don't forget to use the spring kit, pushrods and rocker arms I sent you for the stroker engine
Tell Archie, Jughead and the boys to keep up the good work.
@@drewsharpe7484 hi...we use top hat seals which have a built in spring seat
@@jackstarkjack7733 do you just have the ebay store or do you have a web site
@@matttaylor5306 hi Matt...for now we just have the eBay store
Here we go. I’ve been drooling over a LY6 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
Man 2 in one day wow Matt’s up early
I forgot there was a cold air intake in the bed. Effort to install is 0% haha
That's a great looking truck. Nice work!
Very nice looking and sounding truck, I think the lowered look is sweet on this one! Thank you Matt for another great one:)
This thing needs some TBSS long tubes, especially if you’re gonna spray it. They fit with minimal modification.
That is a great looking truck, I like seeing these vids they are great, unless I’m mistaken the whack shack for another car, I feel like I see it in action online a lot, certainly an angry beast, and looks very fast and very active and I assume a certain amount of mechanical woes just come with the territory when pushing the whack shack envelope. Your buddy does impressive work.
Man that’s a sharp looking Colorado!!
Sweet ride bro ly6 hell yeah great engines
great video, it helps alot with my build to understand some things I am seeing and what I might be able to do to help my build. Thanks a lot!
good stuff. Love these breakdown videos.
This is so awesome, my setup is ly6 t56 spooli 80
That is a clean build and I'm sure 350ish whp with a stick in a Colorado is probably a fun ass ride!
I dream of one day doing a ls in my Colorado. So much want!
That thing looks badass alright.
Transmission swap seems like a good option. Not a lot of info out there on it but cost for cost it’s barely more than a AR5 swap and you get a 6spd with better ratios
Isn't the adapter like a grand? AR5's are around $400. Dont get me wrong the CD9 is a better tranny but i think the cost is much greater.
Jeremy Dawkins ??? Ar5s require an adapter too.
I have this transmission and the LOJ adapter in my garage now waiting to go in. It’s not cheap, but no manual transmission for any LS is cheap. For the transmission, adapter, clutch, flywheel, yolk, and short shifter it cost me $2493. That’s for parts that are capable of handling big HP. All came from LOJ minus the trans. If it brakes I just need another $400 transmission. Clutch and flywheel were spendy but if you plan on making serious power any clutch setup will be expensive.
@@yotaismygame But it is not a grand.
@@yotaismygame Do you mean you have a CD09 or AR5?
Cool truck🤘
Project Binky has a safety turbo and this truck will have safety nitrous. Safety first kids.
I've never heard of the frontier trans in these.
What clutch is he using? Did they supply it with the trans adapter?
I'm potentially getting an ly6 for my 05. I've been wanting to swap for years now but wanted to get more knowledge on it before diving in
Now I'm looking for cd009 measurements to shifter to compare to this for fox body install
That nissan manual trans must have some serious guts in it
Fab bot makes a conversion that uses the stock colorado manual trans and the stock trans I believe held 900ish hp before it grenaded
I would like to see how that tune matches my colorado ly6 tfs sst camp with spring upgrade stock exhaust and injection
What GM or should I say GMC for the people who like to be really specific... They should've made that truck and stance with an LSA and bring back the Syclone. Guarantee they would've sold out.
carbuzz.com/news/2021-gmc-syclone-is-a-750-hp-muscle-car-slayer. They are bringing it back.
I have that air cleaner-gotta get some cold air
Thx again! Sep,ss2 at it again?
This is also nice....
Cause of that white colorado I’m now a owner of a 07tbss
I wonder how long he's had the flares on there... tommyfyeah just started building these lowered like that with flares. He's got a ls3 Colorado and he's putting one of the supercharged lt1 and trans out of a Camaro into the next one.
Now if only I could get my 2003 RCLB 2wd Silverado 2500 6L with a CAI, TR5s and open trueduals to run right for me...trans is on life support and the engine needs one of everything if I don't replace it. 308,000 miles and a/c still blows cold at least.
Dremel out the IAC port and it will fix the whistle.
@Mr. 6 liter obviously yes but they still whistle on a cold start even when they're properly set up.
What plugs did you change to?
Can I get a email back please about a e85 harness I got from you?
I just did this swap last week with a LS2, but it wont start. Something with the ecu is locking me out.
Terminator x won’t lock your gems 💎
Curious what rear end is in it? What size are his rims and tires? Thanks
17x8 wheels factory rear 3.42 I believe
Open diff? Is the tire a 245/50 or something.
Joseph Bouchard yeah I haven’t had a chance to swap the center section.. 255/45 rear tire
Ya want to put 255/45 on my Colorado. Looks good. Nice truck
What wheels are those?
I’d like to know too.
