Love the site! Will be doing my 54 Chevy Sedan Delivery soon with LS3, 6 speed manual. A tip for future stuff is I love Southern Urethanes Inc. paints. Try the black epoxy primer, a great surface prep that can be used as a final finish. Mimics GM satin black perfectly and if you allow it to induce for a few hours ( up to 8) it will enhance the UV protection. Two sprayable gallons @ $200 to your doorstep. I highly recommend all their products. Hope to use your upper spring hat mod to my Heidts front to eliminate the silly alignment slots. Using Viking hybrid coilovers on mine.
