Without your video I would be still banging my head on the desk. Instructions in the box may have well taught me how to gut a squid. Thanks to your help, I'm up and running (with no squid entrails)
Thankyou for this, I got one yesterday and was rather lost on how to set it up, this has explained it so well. DayZ buttons here I come - have a sub :)
Nice vid - subbed for your excellent content. My Nexus arrives tomorrow, so will be referring to your guide! I agree with some of the comments - the screen bezels are a little on the “sturdy” side, but it will look cooler than that blank bit of desk in front of me right now...
Awesome, thank you for the sub! I think you will be happy with it. I personally fell that there are one or two minor software improvements that could be implemented but nothing the DEV team at Corsair can't handle I'm sure ;)
It does indeed, you can make your own gifs for the background or each of the tiled images / buttons if you wish. I have done a few myself.. it is a lot of fun watching Mario run across the top of your keyboard!!
@@WhiskyLima cool, I've had it now basically since two days after posting this question. At the time I had an order from both Corsair and Amazon and it shipped actually almost immediately from Corsair so I canceled the Amazon order.
How can I see what I am listening to on I tunes or any media player 🤔

I don't own any Corsair stuffs but plan to own all of them, so I don't have iCUE here to test for myself. Just one question: Since it's USB, does the iCUE software allows one system to connect to multiple Nexus(s) or it's limits to just one per system? Since I have like 3 monitors, each for specific purposes (gaming, cinema/streaming/Discord, editing), it would be nice to for each of them to have their own Nexus(s) with their own sets of shortcuts so I don't have to swipe through 200 pages all the time to find a single function. Is that possible? Because I'm having a hard time choosing between 3 of this or 3 HDMI Raspberry touch screen, they are the same price in my country.
Hi, silly question but can customize the main screen to navigate to all the other screen quicky. Also, I don't have any corsair's products but wanna use this like a touchscreen stream deck. thanks
That is a good question, but at the moment, you have to manually select the screen you want to use. You can either swipe left and right or you can select the screen you want in iCue. I'm sure Corsair are still working on the software so hopefully there will be changes in the future? Who knows. It will make a great little stream deck alternative though with shortcuts to applications and macros setup for each button.
@@WhiskyLima thanks for your fast reply. ill be keeping an eye on it as can't buy it yet on Amazon. At the moment I'm using Touch Portal with an old phone. However, I want a device that will boot and shutdown with the PC.
There are a lot of features I would like to see implemented on the Nexus but mostly just software changes and I am hopeful that they will make some changes to make it even more useful!
when I put an transparent button, the software insists to put an flat color as a backgroud for the image! the result is complete garbage. i can't get to make the background transparent.
Unfortunately this feature is currently not working in the latest version of iCue. The workaround is to make an image for the background of the button which correctly matches the background of the screen so that they blend together. It will take a little work in an image editor to get it right.
You should check to make sure you have the newest version of iCue and then check to see if there are any firmware updates for the Nexus. Go to the corsair website for the latest version and then in the settings, click on the Nexus and check for the firmware update. It might not have a FW update but it's worth checking.
Anybody else here experiences their Nexus unit getting half white screen. Sometimes on pc boot up it is fine, sometimes half of the display is white. Just got mine, i was wondering if there is a fix for it or should i have it replaced right away.
its an ASUS motherboard which you need to have iCue installed and the Armory Crate from ASUS then you have access to lighting options in iCue for the board
Yes mounting to your keyboard probably wouldn't be the best idea but the additional base that comes with it works perfectly well as a standalone device so you can put it anywhere you like. I've even seen people use adhesive tape to mount it to the monitor itself
@@WhiskyLima thats so stupid. I'm starting to regreting buying it. you can basically only have 6 macro buttons, could as well just use the macros on the keyboard. its impossible to map really useful information that could justify buying this gimmick.
Excuse me I want to ask about some issues. I just bought keyboard Corsair k-100 - would this nexus device work on it properly ? - From watching your video I realised that the nexus device can have me to record macros on it - I wanted to be sure how many macros I can record and use them. As a matter fact I find using macros is an essential issue for accessing on the different accounts and emails, by recording the passwords that help me to access to my accounts or so. I wanted to know how as many macros I can generally record and use them either on the keyboard Corsair K-100 and on the device nexus - wish if you can help me out ?
Basically you can record as many as you like but you can only display 6 icons on each screen so you would have to have multiple screens to hold more macros, again there doesn't seem to be a limit on the number of screen either. The only thing I would say is that it is super insecure using macros to save passwords so i wouldn't recommend that personally
@@WhiskyLima thanks! Sorry but just to add to that last part... can you add 2 or 3 profiles at the same time (each with it's own button) to be able to select on the touch screen?
No it's limited to what you can do in the iCue software so basically anything you can do in iCue you can use this for. It can be used to setup macros and keyboard shortcuts so if you can use a macro or keyboard shortcut to select a display output then this could work for you
In the video I have the K95 Platinum but have since upgraded to the K100 RGB. Both have mounting brackets out of the box to use those keyboards with the Nexus
Hi! The Nexus states that the mounts it comes with are compatible with the K95 Platinum, the K70 Mk II and the K70 Mk II Low profiles keyboards. The back of your keyboard does have a USB pass-through so you might be able to get it to fit but you would probably need to modify the shape of the bracket. If it were me I would choose the mount that most closely fits and make it fit with a Dremel. If it doesn't fit, it does come with a stand alone holder if you can't get it to fit.
Follow the steps from 5:40 in the video but select your iTunes executable file instead. You will need to find out where iTunes is stored first but it's usually somewhere like C:\Program Files\iTunes\itunes.exe
There is no direct information that it can take from games or other applications at the moment. I would love to see it do something like that too but for now, it's limited to what iCue can do within it's software
No it't limited to what you can use the iCue software for at the moment so it has no connection with any other software other than being able to create macros or open applications
The functionality is very limited unfortunately... like, you can't show the usage of all components.... Also, it doesn't seem very intuitive to place macros for gaming on a touchscreen that's away from both your hands. In the heat of battle, i'd rather reach for my G macro keys or mouse side buttons than lift up my arm and click a touchscreen that doesn't provide any feedback and wondering if i clicked it right.
Yes the bezel is a bit chunky, i imagine it was a buget decision. If this had a screen similar to a modern phone it would be tripple the price point. Would have been nice though
@@WhiskyLima At 100 euros it can't possibly be a budget decision. Don't Corsair own Elgato? Why didn't they take a page out of the StreamDeck book which is miles ahead in terms of price/quality?

No unfortunately it is limited to basically interfacing with iCue although it would be awesome if someone came up with a 3rd part plugin. I used to have a Logitech keyboard back in the day with something similar, was very cool to play with but it was an entirely different scope from this as this is more designed as an iCue companion
