Tawny Kitaen was the model in the video... She met Whitesnake singer David Coverdale on the music video 'Still of the night' in 1987... Kitaen and Coverdale became a couple and she appeared on the next video 'Is this love'... and then a 3rd video 'Here I go again'... Coverdale wrote the Whitesnake song "Kitten's got claws" about her in 1989. Coverdale and Kitaen got married for a few years but split bitterly in 1991... Before that Tawny Kitaen was the girlfriend of Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby... She appeared on the cover of Ratt's 1984 album 'Out of the cellar'... and appeared in the Ratt music video 'Back for more'... She became a Hollywood movie actress and was briefly involved w/ one O.J. Simpson... Unfortunately, the years after splitting from David Coverdale were not kind to her... She remarried but that ended in divorce after she attacked her husband and was arrested... She spoke fondly of her ex Robbin Crosby, who contracted AIDS and died in 2002 from an OD. Tawny Kitaen passed away in 2021. Before he formed Whitesnake in 1978, singer David Coverdale rose to fame in 1974 after he joined Deep Purple on vocals, replacing their classic singer Ian Gillan... and recorded 2 of their biggest albums - 'Burn'... and 'Stormbringer'... But after guitarist Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple in '75, the next album 'Come taste the band' w/ guitarist Tommy Bolin was a commercial disappointment and Deep Purple split up in 1976. Launching his solo career in 1977, David Coverdale named his new band Whitesnake (after his second solo album - a comical reference to his 'thang') and debuted in 1978 w/ the album 'Trouble'... Whitesnake became a hit in Europe, the Asia by the 80's... America embraced Whitesnake in 1987 as their self-titled album sold 8x platinum in the US w/ their trio of MTV hits starring model/actress Tawny Kitaen... Their next album 'Slip of the tongue'... produced the hits - 'Judgement day' ... "Now you're gone" ... 'Fool for your loving'... Sadly, Coverdale disbanded Whitesnake in 1991 after his divorce from Kitaen... He recorded 1 album as 'Coverdale.Page' w/ Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page in 1993... producing the songs - 'Shake my tree' ... 'Pride & joy' In 2002, David Coverdale finally reactivated Whitesnake w/ new members & kept the band going... However, Coverdale's recent health issues suggest that he might be retiring (if he hasn't already)
Tawny passed away in 2021. She was the daughter of renowned actress/model Raquel Welch. Raquel died in 2023. She was still an amazing looking woman in her eighties.
I was in the concert here in Costa Rica some years ago, and wow, I could see old and young couples singing with the band, it was amazing.... This is one of the best rock ballads in my opinion
"Here I Go Again", "Fool For Your Loving" and "Still of the Night" are pretty mandatory to check out if you haven't. Might like "Richie Sambora - Church Of Desire" also.. similar vibes. Off topic, although still 80's. "Survivor" has a song with same name. Is This Love. Also pretty good.
You crack me up Millie!😂😂😂 Yes, Whitesnake is not a one-hit wonder. Their biggest hit was "Here I Go Again". Other hits from this album were "Still of The Night" and "Give Me All Your Love". David Coverdale is the lead singer. He also was the lead singer for Deep Purple previously. Crack on!😎
I grew up in the 80s and absolutely love the music, it's pretty much all I can stand to listen to now as well. Our motto was "Sex, Drugs, and Rock n' Roll", and we had SO much fun! I attended many, many concerts throughout the "Decade of Decadence", beginning with my very first show which was Van Halen's "1980 Invasion Tour"...
Written by David Coverdale and John Sykes. Parts recorded in Little Mountain ⛰ Sound Studios in Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦. Engineered by Bob Rock. Great 👍 ballad. Suggested video 📹: Whitesnake performs The Deeper the Love 💘 Many of the 1980s metal music 🎶 videos 📹 had the late Tawny Kitean, the video vixen here.
In the 80s, everything was more direct, passionate, and uncensored. I was lucky to live through that decade, and even though I was a child, I enjoyed it by learning from the adults. Those were incredibly creative years (music, cinema...), and the relationship in the music video is not toxic at all, it's human. In those years, elegance and doing things well were valued. Now, vulgarity and other crap like that are valued. It's my opinion, but I think it's completely normal that hot girls appeared in 80s music videos... What kind of girl do you want to put next to a man like David Coverdale? :D The thing is, now, as I said, we are all hypocrites, and with so much sexual diversity, people are lost (in translation) 🤪
Still of the Night is great. You could go to some of their older stuff for more bangin' music w/ Love Ain't No Stranger, Slow An' Easy, & Slide It In. Why did 80s videos have so many sexy women? it's like why not have sexy women in their videos? (Sex sells).
THREE SONGS THAT KIND OF GO TOGETHER WITH THIS LOVE STORY.... "IS THIS LOVE" , "HERE I GO AGAIN" AND "STILL OF THE NIGHT" ALL BANGERS... THEY HAVE MANY MORE. THEY WERE HUGE, SOME MIGHT SAY LEGENDARY. SINGER DAVID COVERDALE HAD ONE OF THE BEST HARD ROCK VOICES/ SOULFUL/ RANGE/EDGY/BLUESY ... DEF NOT A ONE HIT WONDER! FUN FACT ... STEVE VAI PLAYED ON A RECORD LATE 80'S !!!!
You gave the worst reaction to such a great Fantastic Song of the 80’s. Sorry that it’s not to your standards, but this is how it was and stop complaining or don’t do anymore reactions. Please respect this Era of great Music !!
Old Whitesnake was much better than Hair Whitesnake. Their Donington set from 1983 was just before the band broke up and Coverdale was convinced to go all pretty boy with the image. You might like that.
Of course most 80's music video had to have a sexy woman.... What "made" the 80's was fast cool cars, sexy beautiful women, great cool long hair, and great music. I used to dream on being and looking as cool as David here, great long hair, long black coat with rolled up sleeves, playing my guitar in the spotlight... Definitely Pop/Rock artiste where my role models...
The way that girl reacted is a mere example of what society, and especially young people have been brainwashed. They get shocked by just seeing a woman showing her sexy legs or boobs, so what? It's like many men of the 80s showing skin. But, back then we didn't look at that because we paid more attention to other relevant details such as music, lyrics, or talent.
Millie you have the look of a beautiful 80s woman, you need to react to Whitesnake song love ain't no stranger, it has a better story. react to the video...P/S can you still react to the band Armored Saint?...
Love Whitesnake, but I still think one of the sexiest music videos from the 80s has got to be Chris Isaac's Wicked Game, if you haven't seen it, I'm sure you'll hide you eyes 🤣
You were talking about pretending to be a sexy 80s girl in the shower, then you get shy about them being intimate 🤣🤣 Not sure what was toxic about their relationship though. As for more Whitesnake. Still of the night, Here I go again 87, Now you're gone, Fool for your loving and my personal fave Deeper the love.
80´Hard rock Whitesnake are great, but 70´s more bluesy Whitesnake are another level, and i think you would enjoy more. Songs like "Take me with you", "Trouble", "Long way from home", "Walking in the shadow of the blues", "Help me thro the day", "Love hunter", "Ready an willing", "Blindman", "Ain´t gonna cry no more", "Don´t break my heart again", "Peace lovin man", "Hole in the sky", "Only my soul". Or more modern stuff like: "All or nothing", "Slide it in", "Standing in the shadow", "Looking for love", "Children of the night", "Wings of the storm", "Judgement day", "Sailing ships", "Don´t fade away", "Too many tears", etc, etc ......all better songs than the same 2 that most people usually recommend ....
80s songs had a sexy woman because in those days songs were about love and good times… today it’s all about being a prick and treating women like shit… 🤷🏻♂️
This is not a one-hit band. It's a band with a million hits. 🙂
The 80's was an amazing decade.

Everything was bigger and better in the 80s...wish I could go back.
I wish I could do the 80's as an adult instead of a kid....but it was a great time for kids.
We could easily go back, just get rid of the blue rinse brigade and become aspirational again. That and get the boobs back on the lager cans.
Still of the night ….. is a must to play
That's not a toxic relationship, it is supposed to be passion.
I was a young teen when this came out …and I’ve loved it for almost 40 years now …just puts me into that warm nostalgia✨
It's 80s passion girl !! ;o)
I was in the concert here in Costa Rica some years ago, and wow, I could see old and young couples singing with the band, it was amazing....
This is one of the best rock ballads in my opinion
This album was gigantic!!! It came out in 1987 and ruled MTV and the radio. There isn't a bad song on it either.
THE BIGGER THE BETTER IN THE 1980S..😃🤘🏼🔥🔥💥💥💥
Toxic, lol. Oh Please! LOL. You weren't there, I was and it was great!
Tawney passed away like 2 years ago. Woman in the video married the singer of WHITESNAKE.
“So many 80s music videos had sexy girls” yep, it was great. 🤪
a real banger is "Still of the Night". definitely a must.

I too saw the Van Halen 1880 Invasion Tour. 😂 I was pressed against the stage directly in front of Eddie.
Still of the Night has to be your next Whitesnake reaction!!! This was a fun one!!!
80's was that Ballad/Party era. It was fun. Grunge changed things in the 90's and don't get me started on modern music.
Such a fire song 🔥
Written by David Coverdale and John Sykes. Parts recorded in Little Mountain ⛰ Sound Studios in Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦. Engineered by Bob Rock.
Great 👍 ballad. Suggested video 📹: Whitesnake performs The Deeper the Love 💘

Whitesnake has a lot of great songs. Fool for your Loving is a nice one
2:03 R.I.P./D.E.P. Tawny Kitaen, she passed away in 2021 and I still can't believe she's dead.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's the 70's and 80's girl... the sexy age, wonderful music, wonderful football (soccer) and a wonderful Formula One races!
David Coverdale was also amember of Deep Purple before he started Whitesnake you can hear his voice and guiltar riiffs also in Deep Purple
the sexy woman was the wife of the singer Coverdale

Whitesnake - Still of the night
The girl in the video, Tawny Kitaen, was a major sex symbol and was famous for her role in the Tom Hanks movie, "Bachelor Party".
Have a look at The Still of the Night
😆🤣@2:22 there you go, now you getn' that 80's vibe going!!😆..
We've missed you
the bassist is Rudy sarzo
Amazing!
Speccies on, heddies on, avocados on, let's crack on! The highlights of this video: 2:22 and 3:12. And yet, so shy. How cute is that! 😎
You definitely pulled off the '80's sexy chick' vibe Millie! I think the pink blanket top with avocados swung it - pure Hollywood!
Creep!
3:46 John Sykes on guitar

Book me a Time Machine to the 80s

Millie you are easily an 80’s Lady
you've heard this singer before. You reacted to Deep Purple "Burn" and at that time Coverdale was their lead vocalist
You gave the worst reaction to such a great Fantastic Song of the 80’s. Sorry that it’s not to your standards, but this is how it was and stop complaining or don’t do anymore reactions. Please respect this Era of great Music !!
I was there and the hair bands sucked.
❤❤💪🏼

Beautiful romantic song, gorgeous Millie. If it's cold where you are, come and visit me in Sicily... here it's 28 degrees centigrade
Millie, do you Take song requests from useri?
You will like Starship - Wild Again.
Fool for you loving with Steve Vai. You won't regret it
It was easy to find such a real woman back then. You really have to look it up these days. I'm glad I was young at a time when women were still women.
Millie you have the look of a beautiful 80s woman, you need to react to Whitesnake song love ain't no stranger, it has a better story. react to the video...P/S can you still react to the band Armored Saint?...
MILLIE YOU COULD HAVE BEEN IN A VIDEO AS PRETTY AS YOU ARE
Excellent reaction
Here i go again next
You need little one the Cult 😊😊
Love Whitesnake, but I still think one of the sexiest music videos from the 80s has got to be Chris Isaac's Wicked Game, if you haven't seen it, I'm sure you'll hide you eyes 🤣
Hello there hey there hey Hello hi hello hey hello hey there
Millie as a bassist yoy would enjoy some red hot chili peppers. Flea is in the to 3 bassist in rhe world.
You Qualify...No need to pretend in the shower!
Shhhhhhh and listen first
懐かしい。
You were talking about pretending to be a sexy 80s girl in the shower, then you get shy about them being intimate 🤣🤣
Not sure what was toxic about their relationship though.
As for more Whitesnake. Still of the night, Here I go again 87, Now you're gone, Fool for your loving and my personal fave Deeper the love.
Bom dia linda PAZ e bem do BRASIL PRÁ VOCÊS Beijos
Coverdale should have never kicked John Sykes out . Nothing after this album was on the same level .
I thought there was no talking during guitar solo
Try Girls Girls Girls by Motley Crue. They are very clean and wholesome rock band from the 80.
1987

Your not used to American style. 😊
What's wrong about having a sexy woman on a video? That wokeisim idiology sucks. In the 80's we were way free than now
You need to enjoy the music not talk over it
Had to turn you off. You talk too much!
YOUR VOICE IS 3 TIMES HIGHER THEN YOUR VIDEO
