A PSX port of one of my favorite games when I was a kid. This is a pretty fun game to play, and it's cool that Disney actually made this. This game isn't just a regular platformer, it also has the 3D style which somewhat reminds me of Temple Run or any of the overhead run game, and it also has the Shmup style stage as well.
The cutscenes are edited out due to the fact that we're aware of the copyright claim.

That time i got no money to rent the ps1 to finish any adventure game,,and also dont have memory card,,lol,,only rent for 1 or 2 hours to play other games such as Nascar and Smack down...ahh i really miss those days

I remember playing this back in the day, when I was like 5 o 6 years old. I remember playing it in my first ever computer, a Penitum I as far as I remember... the nostalgia is immense when talking, watching or playing this game. One of the very few accurate recommendations of YT.
You've practically described my exact experience with this game except that I was about 7 or 8. Also, it took me good 2 weeks to beat it as I sucked so much.

In Greek mythology, Hercules was approached by two anthropomorphic personifications before his adventures - Pleasure and Virtue - who offered him either an easy, pleasant, and unspecial life or a severe and perilous but glorious one. Hercules chose the latter, of course.

28:00 - 45:00 The best, most fully-realised level by far. This is the game's centrepiece. If it had a couple more areas of this standard the game would be a platforming classic imo.
Disney had some underrated games, this being one of them.
In Romania it was overrated, everyone had this game and tarzan and Mk4....those were overrated

I played this game when I was like 10 years old. It was really difficult, there were no tutorials or anything. It took me forever to figure that you can run up and down on those early levels and that you'd have to ride that last centaur to kill it.

I didn't start having problems until the episode where you had to ride on Pegasus in Mount Olympus to free all the gods. That was the only tough level because the Titans kept killing me

This and Aladdin were my first games on my PC. Somehow even the old prince of Persia was also there in that PC. I'm hit with the sudden realisation that my Dad used to play games too. But he never really talks about them.

Great pick. Playing this game as a kid with my sister are some of my fondest memories I have. Such a fun game to play and best of all you get to listen to Danny Devito say random crap.
Same, I played this when I was a kid as well, although I played the PC version instead. This one doesn't really have any difference in term of gameplay, but the graphics, especially the brightness, is definitely something worth noticing.

Nostalgic. How could such simple things bring so much meaning and joy? Among others, I used to play the demo of this game over and over after school bc i liked it. I now realize that part of the reason I persisted is bc i figured perhaps there was a way to bypass the game so that i could move on to the next levels (e.g. like a secret alternative path to the next level)... damn 🥺
This is so fun to see, I completely forgot I even had this game and I would put so many hours into it. UA-cam is such a beautiful thing bringing back classic games you wouldn’t have the easiest access too.

If I had my old PS1 back... I have too many games I really enjoy playing in a console and recently I found a copy of this one in a box of childhood stuff in a market. Looks that cool.
Just use an emulator and buy an xbox one controller and voila you're good to go. and the games are all free to download via google. Just search psx roms and you can play your old favourite game on your PC

Thank you so much for posting this. It brought to my mind so many childhood memories from the PS1 days. It was so fun to run around smashing rocks, using thunders and be a hero all around. Now that I notice, I don’t think I’ve ever gone past “The Centaur’s Forest”, I probably gave up on it. Back then I didn’t use to be as persevering and determined as I am now when it came to gaming. By coincidence you also uploaded it on my birthday :P

When I was a kid until here I couldn't proceed, because I didn't figure out how to defeat the Centaur.The old good days where nothing like nepotism & snobbery ever existed.
I used to play this game on my old windows 98, Pentium 2 with my brother,we had to swap every stage or every time we lose a life. Dam so many good times. Miss those great days.
