This is a classic game for Super Nintendo, released in 1995 for Game Boy, Mega Drive and Super Nintendo. The game tells the story of Pinocchio, the wooden puppet that is built by Geppetto and wanted to become a real child, but this should prove to the Blue Fairy who really deserves to be demonstrating honest, brave and selfless.
Inspired by the 1940's movie, the game was great. Both in history and in graphics and details of characters and stages, Soundtrack undergoes transformations in phases until the dramatic darker. The excellent gameplay with simple controls make the character Pinocchio game is perfectly entertaining. -

I was never really good at playing them, but I've always loved the art, animation, and creativity of these old games. Gosh I miss the old days lol.
This Disney game was pretty easy.
Man it was SO damn satisfying to FINALLY give the Coachman his just desserts. Especially since he escaped ANY kind of karma in the movie.
That's why I like the 1996 version.
I wonder, why is he called Coachman?? He doesn't have no fucking whistle or something..
And Monstro was just as terrifying as he is relentless. And that's why I love him now.
@@austinroundsgallery83 Coachman is the name of a person that drives a Carriage for passengers.
Thank God for that. Because I think a lot of 40's kids wanted a way to reach through the movie screens and do it themselves.
I always find it funny how they based the 2nd level with Jiminy Cricket swatting moths on a scene in the film that last about two seconds.
I do wonder if they wanted to use Jiminy for more levels, because it kind of feels like a waste to make only that minigame level with such a good sprite sheet.
@@frannavarro-efejota-5018 And the different moves! He can bounce away enemies. That would be fun to do in an actual level

Disney's Pinocchio (Video Game) - SNES Nintendo view 0:00
October 1995
Disney's Pinocchio is a platform puzzle adventure game from Virgin Interactive. It was released in 1996 for the Game Boy, Super NES, and Sega Genesis and is based on Walt Disney's animated feature film Pinocchio, originally released in 1940. A Sega 32X version of the game was under development, but was canceled due to the add-on's decline.
Pinocchio is a video game based on the film of the same name.
Plot
Help Pinocchio Become a Real Boy! Maneuver a rickety roller coaster over dangerous tracks on Pleasure Island. Jump from balloon to balloon in order to escape Lampwick and his friends. Rescue Geppetto from the Belly of Monstro the Whale. Brave rough seas in order to bring your friends home to safety.
Walt Disney Animated Studio with a play control get is based on Pinocchio view watching at the movie.
Get outta here buzzards!!!!!
The games from the 90's are pure joy.
I liked the level with him escaping from Pleasure Island.
The action looks cool, the music is nice and intense, and it's cool to see the Coachman get what's coming to him.
I also love how Lampwick got to give said Coachman a piece of his mind just beforehand.
Don’t you mean "The Coachman GOT what’s coming to him?"
@@BrandonKohout he said "to see" + infinitive form a verb.
That stage is definitely the highlight of the game.
@@Kanjilearner Lampwick is awesome
The dancing part pissed me off when I was a kid
So there was input during that part? How do you know which dance moves to do?
Alfred Tortelloni it was written in the instruction book for the game
I passed the memory dance level. It is difficult to remember, but I got the last dance move figured out. It's down + A.
I never got past Pleasure Island. That stupid rollercoaster always tripped me up.
The unique game where the first level is more hard than the last level.
Really? It might be confusing when you are new to the level but I think once you know your way around town then the exit should be easy to find right?
hell yea took me hours to figure that shit out lol
I just watched the movie and part of my childhood was unlocked, so good memories from that time when I didn't have to worry about nothing. Time we can't have back, that was so good
The animations are amazing for its time
Played this 26 years ago.... crazy to think about... a lot of fun back in the day as a kid.
Damn. Monstro is terrifying when you think about it. A giant that size with teeth that large with one sole purpose on its mind: eating you alive. And it was *angry* that you were resisting. Go back to the movie and see how angry that thing was. It would even hurl itself at rock just to get you.
It's especially freaky he's so big, he doesn't even fit on the TV screen in this game.
@@beauwalker9820 LOL good one! XD loving the comments here
I know I’m late, but that’s a good point about how big he is. Imagine standing next to a 4ft tall object.. only to find out that it’s somebody’s eye
This, together with the Lion King, the Jungle Book and Hercules one were brilliant Disney games! I miss my childhood. ❤️
Aladdin was a good one too
(6:41)
Honest John: I'll take that, thank you.
Loved that game as a child. It was one of the few that i could actually beat back then.
Wow, they did a pretty good job translating the movie into an SNES game!
+wileyk209zback No. Not exactly because in the movie, Pinocchio does not fight the Coachman and his henchman on the mountain at Pleasure Island. Do you remember Pinocchio fighting them cause I don't.
+L.S.A its in the uncut version.
I searched for some videos and even watched the movie. You're mistaken.
L.S.A They had to make the game more action-packed, because, yeah, it's a game, you have to do stuff. Besides that, it's as faithful to the movie as it can get
The Coachman had it coming anyways.
Pinocchio's walk cycle has "LIKE A BOSS" written all over it
Pinocchio's walking sprite is the best of the game.
I didn't knew this game is just 40 minutes. Felt like 2 hours or more when I played this.
I never ended it… i played on my dads snes
Same here
It depends how slow you play
9:38 i remember catching cockroaches in Pinocchio for SNES like this. 20:50 this rollercoaster level was really hard. 29:18 the ship inside the belly of the whale was like the titanic, especially when i was a little boy. 35:54 getting from the raft onto the island as the white whale was chasing you was a harrowing, traumatic experience for a youngster, but it was worth it to win the game
This is really the film coming to life in a game! Like you're playing the movie
Ah, memories. I used to love watching my big brother play this when I was little.
Let’s all be like Pinocchio and skip our way out of danger like a boss.
23:33 me: that’s what you get for selling the poor boys in donkey forms, coachman!
I only played the Genesis version, but there's something really different in the last level : when you reach the end, you can see Geppetto in the water. Of course, you must help him, but I remember you have the choice : on the left, there's a cavern where you can go. If you do it, screen fades to black and you can hear Monstro's growl... and you must do the level again. A kind of bad ending.
Moreover, in the Genesis version, just go on the right isn't enough to save Geppetto : you MUST JUMP in the water to rescue him. Screen fades to black when you touch him.
To me, this is a huge difference because this is the ultimate proof of courage.
I rather save Geppetto instead. I have to do it according to the movie.
@@toreywhite9917same here
tfw the first thing that happens to you on Pleasure Island is getting dynamite thrown at you
LOL like in BOOM! XD
21:23 I have always thought this is so similar to that Lion King's stage. Amazing game, bring the best memories.
That's because this game is made by the same company that made the lion king video game, that is virgin games
@@simonestranieri8294 Nice. Good to know that, Simone. Thanks!
@@phvotto you're welcome😉👍
For those wondering how to do the leg kick on Level 3, you gotta hold down and then press A.
So satisfying to finally beat the game. The dancing portion was torture
those magical game music really bring me fantasy memory
I remember playing this. This and Mickey Mania were sooooo similar.
absolutely, when i saw Mickey Mania my first thought was "this is a reskinned Pinocchio". They probably share the same engine and asset set. Glad to see i'm not the only one who saw it :D
Ooooh gosh! I looooved this game as little kid! Thank you!
Minha infância, zerei já esse game
this game took my sister and me months to beat its such a pain in the ass!
I had played this game three times I really love it and the game'music is very nice
I didn't know there was a Pinnochio game! It looks pretty good. :)
yea it's not bad
I Know ITS been 9 years, But yeah, IT can hold onto Mario
Missed opportunity to have a boss fight level with Stromboli. It’d also be satisfying to see Pinocchio getting back at Stromboli for almost imprisoning him and separating him from his father.
I hope the reboot gives the Coachman some form of pain.
It doesn't. Thankfully Stromboli gets arrested.
28:05 Wait, what? I've played this game a dozen times as a kid and never noticed that.
wtf I played it many times and it has never shown this
I like how the geese beated up that random kid with the bricks
This game scared me when i was a child.
Why? Oh yes, maybe it's because of the shadow creatures or monstro the whale
The game looks very good, but what surprised me was the appearance of Gideon in the level of escaping from Monstro underwater
As a kid i found this game to be quite easy but somehow that memory mini game i couldn't find a way to beat this and never got past it.
28:04 GIDDY?! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING DOWN HERE?!
Was that an Easter egg? I don't think I've seen that before.
This game is so fucking underrated :/
Everything is underrated
KJ Setser Fan and if everything is underrated, nothing is
+Devin Casebeer Exactly. Therefore, this game is not underrated.
Seriously, eff this game.
Looks kinda shitty to me honestly except for the animation that looks good but Disney sends the sprites to the developers
I never played this video game as a kid. But watching this video and the part where Pinocchio is escaping Pleasure Island, the Coachman and his henchmen. It scared me how the henchmen just appear out of the shadows.
Here’s something that should’ve happened in the original movie, the boys go free and the coachman dies
i could NEVER beat the last part! the hit box was soooo f**ked up it couldnt figure out if i ducked or made the jumps !
I respect the character of Pinocchio like a brother.
35:27 That is the part where that annoying seagull messed me up and have to do it all over again on the checkpoint.
I played the Hell out of this game when I was young. I had it for Gameboy and despite not being in color the animation was a little smoother... or perhaps I'm misremembering it since it's been like 20 years.
saw this on amazon (well on the cover of the nintendo magazin to be exact) and could not believe that it was real
28:05, what is Gideon even doing underwater?
If only this happened in the film. 23:31
The Coachman finally got what should've been done a long time ago
Absolutely.
although the film doesn't show it, Pinocchio would obviously tell Geppetto/ the police about what happened on Pleasure Island.
In fact there was a deleted scene where '' the Coachman hires Honest John and Gideon one last time to bring Pinocchio back to him so that "the law doesn't learn of their business"''.
Whether they managed to apprehend the Coachman is debatable, as I'm not sure if he is human or a demon.
Personally I like to think that the Coachman, whilst on his boat with all his minions, was swallowed up by the blue whale whilst trying to make a getaway from the police.
If the Coachman does another stunt like that again, he will be executed - via either decapitation or evisceration.
*THIS. IS. SPARTAAA!!!*
I love it Pinocchio i miss her.... My old memory nintendo...... My past game..... I'm playing 12 old past year....... 😢😢😢😢 i miss her...
I have this game.
Are my eyes tricking me or did you just say Pinocchio is a girl?
Muy buen juego de la infancia, ojalá saquen una versión remasterisada para el Nintendo Switch 🤥
lol the way geppetto jumps when you are being chase by the whale xD
lol i know right?
17:40 a roller coaster scene in pinocchio video game wasn't in the movie.
28:05 Where the devil did HE come from?!?!?!?!
36:32 NOOOOO!!!!!! I gotta SAVE him!!!!!!!
Looks like Mickey's Wild Adventure
I'm currently getting obsessed with Pinocchio in general so if it is Pinocchio i like it.
I don't care if the game is good or bad, it's Pinocchio, i must play it
Yeah i played this at my emulator
Sweet sweet ps2 memoriez ♡♡♡♡
Creo que nunca vi este juego en snes asta ahora por este medio
In the stage 5 SNES Pinocchio, Coachman out of the arena by spinning kick Pinocchio.
LOL XD
Man…. I would of loved to play this game as a kid! I’m in the process of buying the system so I can play all the ones I did and didn’t play as a kid!!!
otro de mi infancia :-)
1995 in The Game? Wow.
I remember being mad about that last part, when you crash the raft at the shore. I ran to the sand, instead of going for gepetto. Then the game makes you play the whole level again lol
It was one of my fav games 😢
Hi I love this. I've never played this game but it sounds great fun. Also Pinocchio is my fave Disney film!
I remember this game was hella hard, I was like 5 or 6 when I first played this
This game is based on Walt Disney’s 2nd animated classic of the same name.
Come to think about it how do you finish the roller coaster level? Do you just need to wait for Lampwick to spit? 21:32 Those things are apparently smoke demons. They look like apes here. 23:10 How did he get here so quickly? I'm glad this game lets you kill the coachman. It always bothered me that the bad guy wins in Pinocchio. Only the 1996 version lets him lose.
From Disney, I loved MICKEYS´S WILD ADVENTURES, from de psx.
It was my first console game.
@World of Longplays LOL! WOW! This is interesting to see on 28:04-28:07! I didn't know Giddeon could be seen swimming on the level where Monstro The Whale chases Pinnochio! That's a total Easter Egg!
Now outta curiosity, can Honest John Worthington Foulfellow be seen swimming in the same level as well? How did Giddeon end up in the ocean? :D
Hmmm. Very good question.
Really good music clarity in this one, sprites have some nice animation to them.
15:12 the Botton for this kick move
15:35 Ah yes, this step of the dance... When I was a child and had this game, I also happened to be super poor. So my joystick's downwards directional wasn't exactly the best (it'd fail a lot when pressed). And there was no mention in the game about how Pinocchio was supposed to do this step. Cue me being stuck with this for days by a combination of having no idea what I was supposed to be pressing - which I believe, was down + some other button - and the fact that when I did try that combination, my joystick just decided to fail me.
The puppet show is the farthest I have ever gotten on this game, I could never get past it
Pinoccho's ow voice sooooo cute😍😍😍
THE MEMORIES!
Love all things classic Disney and cubex55 helps me sleep at night. Lol this channel is amazing. Keep it up please
I used to play this game!!!
What was the idea of the clam counter and the log counters in the two levels prior to the last one?
Ah. I Remember This. That Was Inside Monstro's Belly From Previous Kingdom Hearts Series.
Old movie of 1940 i love disney games and movies 👍🏻💘💜
looks really great
The music is surprisingly good
What's the name of bgm around 4:00?? I really want to knowTT
Snes Pinocchio music
Good old days for games
For a while, I was thinking whether it was Nancy Cartwright who voiced Pinocchio in this game.
For one thing, the original voice actor's voice would've aged too much to cover it, considering this game was released years after the film's release.
+Johnno9989 Some of the would have been long dead by then.
Most of them definitely was, except Dickie who didn't die until last year
First time I see this game and animations remembered me a lot to Mickie Mania.
Wow, I'm surprised Capcom wasn't involved in this one since they typically were involved in the development of the Disney games.
Erm.. you seriously havent seen any of the games from the Psygnosis / Traveler's Tales era of Disney games?
@@zach7551 No, in fact I didn't even know Psygnosis was involved in those. I knew they were involved in the first wave of Wipeout games but I didn't know about that actually :/
Wahtsapp audio message is ripped from this game? Is the same

I liked the part when monstro dies crashing into the rocks when he tried to grab pinocchio and his father.
I remember the game grumps or someone playing this and they couldn't figure out how to get past stage 1, kek
The Toontastic Toon, world 🗺 of longplays can hep them.
It's cool how the music darkens the plot
Pretty much dark tone music for an SNES, makes the game more eerier...
