Beautiful. I have downloaded both the crochet and knit versions. This is a lovely pattern that looks more intricate than it really is. I look forward to making this. ❤️😊
I adore this pattern so much!!! My dogs woke me up at 5:30 a.m. Fridays are the only reason to get up that early. I've been wearing the Peacock shawl outside and I wrap the ends around my back and I was thinking of a crochet pattern to make that I could wrap easier than the Peacock. Then you show what I was thinking, minus the fringe. LOVE the fringe!!! I would love to use the Paprika fingering yarn for this pattern, would it work? I would love to see some Outlander inspired shawls as well. Have a beautiful day!
Thanks, Gina! I'm so glad you love it! Paprika would certainly work for this pattern. I also love the idea of Outlander inspired shawls! Have a fabulous day!
Another lovely shawl pattern, Chandi. I love that this uses a sportweight yarn. I think I would use the sugarblush colorway...but all colors are beautiful!
I love this border 😍😍😍 but i cant understand how the written description of the second row of the border doesn’t match what you are actually crotcheting on the video 🤔 i cant figure out which way is correct, the video or the written pattern, on the pictures of the ready shawl it fits what you are doing here on video which is 5 double crotchets in a row but in the written pattern there is 2 crotchets then chain and then 3 crotchets again
I love love this shawl. I’m not a beginner. But still consider myself a novice. Have a hard time following written pattern but I decided to try anyway. I quickly stumbled. Where is row 5?
Thank you for the free pattern. Please post a video of doing the first six rows so that we get the hang of it. My count is completely off and no matter how many times I do it over row 4 just doesn’t come out right. As always, thank you for the lovely pattern.

@@ExpressionFiberArts I can crochet well but I’m rather dense when it comes to reading patterns. I follow along on videos and make notes trying to learn but sometimes my brain cannot comprehend. I apologize.

Hi Deb, thank you for your question. I'm happy to help. Have you downloaded the written instructions of the pattern yet? All the details can be found there. Here is the link: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/pemberley.html The design starts off with a ch 8 in color A and then you work an increase row. Have a nice day and enjoy working your Pemberley Shawl. 💕

Of course it depends on size. However if you laid all 3 crochet shawls out and they were the same length and width, the rectangle shawl would use the most yarn. Hope that helps a little. 😊

Hello, Can the pattern size be adjusted for a 7 year old girl?
Sure, you would just decrease the number of rows you crochet and end it before the pattern ends.
@@ExpressionFiberArts Thank you, My granddaughter is receiving her First Holy Communion in May. Our family tradition is to crochet a shawl for the event...will try a small sample this weekend to see how it works out...Any helpful hints?
How do you do the first part of the shawl
Hi Deb, thank you for your question. I'm happy to help. Have you downloaded the written instructions of the pattern yet? All the details can be found there. Here is the link: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/pemberley.html

Can you make this shawl with a size 1 yarn instead?
You sure can! 💕
Perfect,So excited to get started! I love your patterns and videos. Keep up the great work!💖
I have a question for you...how do you color change without cutting if you are doing 2 rows one color and 1 row different?
It's more challenging. You'd need 2 balls of each since the side you're pulling the yarn up will alternate. It's a lot easier to do 2 rows of each. :)
