    • @terrileist
      @terrileist  Рік тому +3

      Well…..I am not 100% sure lol. I was thinking my maintenance calories were 2200, but now that I’ve thought about it they are more like 2000-2100. Soooooo I may have over shot them. But, I’ll see how it goes lol.
      But that’s how I got it. Also, when I was carnivore for 2 years I ate about 2 pounds of 80/20 beef every day and that equaled about 2200 calories. I stalled for 6 months while eating that so it was kinda like maintenance but I was 100lbs more then.
      So I’m not reallybsurenifbthisbwillnworknoyt so well lol. If not I can try for 2000 next time 🤪

    That made me very hungry!😮 Got extremely tempted to eat FREE Glazed Donuts and Honey Crullers🥴 at a new store opening last Tuesday! Same day was the 30th day of a Fast I had been on. Was at the store 2.5 hours and could not stop thinking about the Donuts. I decided not to stuff myself with them and and make myself sick! Bought 90 Ibs of Pork loin at Costco afterwards. Went home and spent hours cutting/packaging them in to steak sized pieces and then threw all of them in the freezer. Started breaking my Fast the next day with Bone broth that tastes awful.😬 Lost a lot of weight in a month and wearing smaller shirts and pants now so very pleased with that....!😎

    Great meal prep Terri. With everything being so expensive I'd be interested in knowing the cost of the meat you purchased for this carnivore challenge and then your regular grocery haul with all the veggies. Everyone tells me they could never afford the carnivore way of eating bc of the expense but I'm guessing there wouldn't be that much difference. You're just the person who can figure that out!

      I’ll be honest if I went back to carnivore I’d buy 73% ground beef and pork. I agree that it would be either the same or a little less than keto. I purposefully freeze veggies so they don’t go to waste, I refuse to let them go to waste.
      Next time I do a carnivore reset I’ll buy just the right amount of meat and we can know, thank you for the idea!

    Hello Terri! 😀A week ago i started the carnivore diet. A total beginner!I am eating 3 to 4 eggs per day and 500 g of airfryed chicken breasts per day and a coffee with butter. I really can' t eat beef... Occasionally i ate also some apples.
    I would like to ask you for advise. Do you think it's ok? Do i maybe eat too less fat? Its a huge change for me, as i have been a vegetarian for my entire life. But my health is declining with my Hashimoto. I feel so much better. I am just worried, I am doing something wrong. I am really happy to find your youtube channel! Thank you so much, Terri for your sharing! You are wonderful! Hope to keep in touch. God bless you! 🙂❤️👍🤗🙏✝️

      If you are unable to eat beef, are you able to eat lamb or pork? I think chicken is ok, but you are right, it doesn’t sound like enough fat.
      I would honestly recommend you join the Facebook group ‘zeroing in on health’. They are strict, but they have been carnivore for 15-20 years and have so many people and so much knowledge. I would hate to tell you something that would hurt your health since I’m not full on carnivore anymore.

    Did you lise most of the weight on carnivore then switch to ketovore for maintenance? Do you have blood work showing any change in cholesterol leels over the time you were on carnivore? My LDL and triglycerides are high and my dr is saying to stay away from animal fats. Bloodwork was from before i started carnivore about a month ago.

    Are you switching things up Keto one week and carnivore the next?

    • @terrileist
      @terrileist  Рік тому +1

      No, I was planning on just doing 1 week carnivore as an experiment. However….I have a tendency to over do things and had too much meat. Depending on how things go, I’ll do 1 week for sure, but have enough for another week, if I wanted to do a second I could. Or just have some carnivore days here and there, I honestly haven’t thought it through yet. I’m more of a fly by the seat of my pants kinda gal as long as the portions are right I can kinda mix things up maybe
