Thankyou for watching!
You can easily slice any meat very thinly by *almost* freezing it first. It firms it up enough so it stands up to the knife and as long as you have a good knife, you can almost shave it.
As a Canadian I appreciate the option for “Anita Chrisps”. I agree ordering Carnivore Crisps is expensive once you add up all the costs.
Yeah I did it once but never again, it's too easy to make them!
I live in Minnesota (USA) and carnivore crisps are too expensive for my budget. I'm so glad I have discovered you and your videos. I'm excited to try some of these recipes.
Found a big package of chicken skins at my favourite butcher shop and will make chicken chips with salt and pepper…so delicious!
Those people who eat skinless chicken don’t know what they’re missing out on😄
I made chicken skins for my young boys and they loved them! There were no leftovers, ha!
I absolutely LOVE chicken skins!
that's my reward for making my own boneless skinless chicken thighs!
I buy whole chickens. I separate the thighs and legs, skinless breasts, and wings. I leave the extra breast skin on the wings or cut it separate. The price of chicken is cheaper overall this way. I feel I get free wings, skin, and back. Roughly speaking.
i love chicken skin
You are amazing! I worked 12.5 hours today and something like this would have been wonderful to have on hand. You are such an inspiration. Such beautiful fur babies! Love seeing them! We will be here when you get moved! Hugs for you, Anita!
Thank you so much! I'm downsizing so I can cut back and probably even eliminate my having to work!
I love the idea of hot pot meat for the crisps! I need to try that! ❤️👍🏼
They work beautifully! And no additional ingredients from using deli meats!
I really enjoyed this video. I just bought 2 pkgs of cc here in the US and it cost me 27$. The Brisket is delicious. I hope to make these soon. I am not good at cooking meat yet so these videos are invaluable. And it's a plus you are so sweet to watch.
I know the prices are just too much. And thank you!
I ordered an air fryer. It is scheduled to come Sat (today is TU). I know it is going to be so helpful. I ordered one that has heat at the top & bottom, so no turning foods. I’m Carnivore now and loving it. I am going to make your recipes that fit into my Carnivore lifestyle.
I think the air fryer is one of the best tools for a carnivore, next to a sous vide wand!
Homemade Carnivore Crisps!!! That's genius! Thank you so much for sharing Anita.
Thank you!
Here in the states a rack of lamb is around 17+dollars, everything is so expensive! Everything looked delicious!😋
I know! That little one I made was $21 but because of the 2 for 1 sale it was around 10:50. Still, last year they were so much cheaper!
I tried your carnivore crisps. ABSOLUTELY 💯 loved them!!! Thank you so much for sharing such a quick, easy, and cost effective way to get some CRUNCH back into my life! I've lost 100lbs since March 2022. With the cold weather here I desperately needed some variety that I can do at home! Please keep sharing your wonderful recipes! ❤️
Wow congratulations on your 100lb loss! And so happy you like the chips!
I was just wanting to order the crisps. They are so delicious but can’t justify paying that much. Thanks for a great alternative!
I know, they are a simple item and taste great but now that I know how easy they are to make!
Great video!! Thanks so much for showing the meat crisps. I love the Carnivore Crisps but the price is a lot for most!!
Yeah it really is!
This was an amazing episode! Thanks for all the great recipes.
Thank you!
Lamb is sky high, was raised on lamb as my grandparents had a sheep farm, my husband and I raised sheep for 20 plus years until we retired, miss those days, lamb still my favorite meat
It's doubled in price around here, so crazy!
I will miss you Anita! Totally understand how busy you will be moving. Can't wait to see your new place. Congrats on the six pound loss! Weigh to go!! Your Anita Crisps look yummy.
Thank you so much!! I'll still be here, just not as much for a few weeks.
Wowzers Anita, I make my Crisps in our Air Fryer... love them and much less mess.
Good for you on the 6lbs... thanks again for sharing your journey, prayers up for your move 😊.
Thank you so much! 💗
How is an air fryer less mess?? I'm so scared of how to keep it clean inside, I don't use it :-/
I wondered about that too...I just wipe it clean after every use with a warm, slightly soapy dishcloth. That way it doesn't build up and it only takes a couple of minutes 😊
@@PinkLady54 it's less splatter as it's enclosed... I have thr Ninja plus so it's a bit bigger and I love it... I while mine out at the end, and I cook mine at 355°~375° it depends on the humidity here... I also add a small amount of water to the base to keep the smoke down, much like cooking bacon 🥓 😋 hope this helps
@@amsohn1 Thank You Grams! I have been using it a lil lately & getting more comfortable but those all sound like great tips.
I appreciate You sharing. When I get the hang of it, I will need to buy one that's bigger too ;-)
Hope You are having a wonderful summer!!
Awesome! Thanks!
It's the middle of the night here and I'm binge watching your videos
Thank you for so many great recipes and tips
Glad you like them! And be sure to get some sleep!💗😊
@@KetogenicWoman lol...thank you ...I'll try tonight x
Thank you!
Good luck with the move. We'll miss you.
Thank you, I won't be completely gone, just a little quieter than usual!
So awesome 🤩
Thanks for the recipe for the Anita Crisps :) No way could afford the Carnivore Crisps!
I love your recipe videos! Thank you! I can't wait to try all these new recipes 😋
In Pennsylvania and surrounds we can buy sliced (chipped) cheesesteak meat in all supermarkets at a reasonable price which makes it easy to make beef crisps.
Nice!
Anita thank you so much I have lost over 130 pounds doing mostly carnivore with a little keto veggies. And I'm so excited about Anita crisps. Thank you so much your amazing
Congratulations on that weight loss! You must feel like a different person!
@KetogenicWoman Yes, I do have a lot more energy because I'm burning my fat instead of the junk I used to eat. My head is clearer, too. And your recipes are helping me so much. Thank you 💕
Love the meal prep videos! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Always amazing.
Thanks again! 💗
Välkommen tillbaka❤️
Well done! Very helpful. Observation (side note): Seems like there are a LOT of accountants in Canada!
What a yummy bunch of meats! I’ve never heard of beef rib fingers? I live in Texas, closest thing is thin sliced Korean beef ribs. I’m so glad you made your own crisps! I’ve been dehydrating cold cuts in Ninji foodie, but never thought to do thin meats! I love anything lamb!! Sams had pretty reasonable prices. Good luck with your move! We are military and have moved 15 or more times can’t remember lol.. ❤️
I really don't like moving but the time has come! Hope you can find those boneless beef fingers, they are soooo good!
Thanks for the crisp recipe! I made salami crisps (salami chips) the same way and I want to make these crisps as well, they look so yummy! I also make cheese crisps (in the microwave): cut out some parchment paper the same size as the microwave turning table, put about 1 Tbsp grated cheese (about 1 in apart, mine fits 7 mounds of cheese) and microwave on high for 3 min. They come out nice and brown and crunchy and delish.
yum, I do love both salami and cheese crisps!
I used to make pepperoni crisps, but I'm allergic to two things commonly found in retail sausage of every kind. Lots of flavor.
Drooling out here. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy!
With your encouragement I used my air fryer to make a rack of lamb... YUM YUM
yay! Congrats!
My goodness, everything looks delicious! I was looking for a way to do the crisps without an air fryer so I'm excited to try this. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I'll be making my own crisps.
Thank you Anita! Great video!
You are so welcome!
I love your videos!!!!! Thank you!!
Thank you!
Love love love these recipes! Makes me want to by an instant pot. Hehe I wanna make them all. Thank you so much!
It's always so much fun watching you in the kitchen!
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching!
I knew you're were also an Accountant based on analysis on costs. I too am an Accountant and I also love Carnivore Crisp. I still order from them and I keep their packaging and put my own mix in it like chicken skin and bacon. I sometimes add Pork King Good to my mix. Great Movie snack. I'm so glad you introduced this method to me. It's a push for me because I've been wanting to make other meats as well. Thanks. Love your videos ❤️
Great movie snack! I should have kept those bags, don't know why I didn't think of it!
what is Pork King Good??
@@jillf24 Ground pork rind crumbs!
I just love you Anita! Thanks for the video!
You are so welcome! 💗
THANK YOU! This Carnivore loves your food ideas and recipes!
So glad! Thanks for watching!
I love that it can be done in 30 minutes❤
Wonderful video. Thank you so much. Good luck with your move!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the inspiration on the “Anita Crisps “ can’t wait to try them .
Hope you enjoy!
That was a great crisps and cost comparison, Anita! There’s so much we can do ourselves if we put our minds to it. We got a Teddi / Pippi double feature! ❤️🐾🐾❤️ They are so precious! Best wishes with your packing and move! I work with relocating executives so I understand moving challenges. It will be a whole new adventure for you with a lot less real estate to have to keep up, right?! 👏🏼❤️📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦
Yes! I am looking forward to a smaller house, smaller yard but I want a bigger kitchen, lol!
Love your videos! I am also doing BBBE. Appreciate your ideas and recipes are great!
Thanks so much 😊
Ty for sharing and God bless 🙌 🙏
You are so welcome!
Wow Anita, all that great meat! Makes me hungry, and will try these recipes!
Great idea to make your own meat crisp!
Wowset! That's a huge difference
It sure is!
Good luck with your move can’t wait to see what you get
Me neither!
Thank you. Very helpful. Take care getting settled in. See you soon😊🌺
You are so welcome
All the best on your move!
Thank you!
Thanks for the recipes. Cant wait to try the crisps. I hope your move goes well. 💪🏻
Thank you, me too!
thanks. It looks so good. Thank you. I'm going to share this video with my "Carnivore Diet recipes" Facebook group.
Thanks for sharing!! I really appreciate that! 💗
Oh definitely easy to make your own crisps! I was gifted some carnivore crisps, but realized quickly how expensive they were once I ordered some myself, with exchange and customs cost it added up. Great BBBE prep 🥩
So good! Do you guys have a meat slicer? I thought you might since you hunt. If not there's a couple Asian markets in Red Deer.
@@KetogenicWoman yes we do! I’ll try some Elk crisps soon!
I do the same technique but use my dehydrator instead of the oven. Super delicious. I also buy the sliced beef at Costco.
What temp are you setting dehydrator? Thanks for your input.
@@VeldaE12, I set it at 165° F for 24 - 26 hours. I like them super crispy. I also salt heavy with Redmonds. They come out like a chip!
I haven't seen sliced beef at Canadian costco, that would be nice!
Hi! The Anita crisps look lovely. My husband and I invested in a modest meat slicer and I have a roast in the freezer I can take out, and try slicing a few very thin ones to dry as you did. Thanks!
ooo, I have been thinking of getting a meat slicer! The cost of the already thin sliced beef is getting too much!
Oh! Will miss you.
Thank you Anita for three great ideas‼️Stay safe & well❣️😷 I must of missed the video of you moving. May you have a smooth transition ❣️
I have not moved yet, still packing! The sign will go up next week probably and then things will happen fast I think.
Congratulations on a new move! Will definitely miss you for the time your away. Hoping all the packing and moving goes smoothly!! Can’t wait to see the new kitchen! 😊
Thank you so much!! I'm hoping and praying for a more modern kitchen!
Yes!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💛 I’m BBB&E your so awesome 👏🏻 💛👍🏻
yay, the more the merrier!
All these recipes look wonderful! I want to do BBBE and am working on stocking up my freezer and fridge. I think your recipes will help with variety. Thank you!
It definitely helps me to have things prepared and on hand when I open that fridge!
Thanks for sharing your videos. Don’t worry we’ll still be here for you after your move😊
I appreciate that! 💗
Good luck in your move, excited to see your new kitchen. Will miss seeing you for a few days though. I really look forward to seeing what ideas you have next. 😉
Thank you! I'll popping in here and there so you all don't forget me! 😃
Have really enjoyed your videos. Wish I had found you sooner. Thank you..
Well it's never too late to find someone! 😍
Congrats for a successful egg fast. Wishing for a smooth transition to your new home
Thanks so much. Moves can be stressful, just hoping for as little as possible to go wrong!
Great video!! I love that you are giving us options to save money and make good food!! When you are in the process of moving, I will definitely miss your daily videos!! Love ya hon!! ❤💙💜
awww thank you! I'll pop in a couple times a week I'm sure!
@@KetogenicWoman yeah, but I like the dailies! But, I will love whenever you do pop in! ❤ 💙 💜
Good luck with the move. I’ll look forward to any videos you are able to put out. I’m starting BBBE on Sunday. Prepping on Saturday. I’ll be sure to check in on the FB group for suggestions, inspiration and support! 😊
Yes, there's been lots of good posts already of food ideas!
Good luck with the move!
Thank you!
I just found the thin sliced ribeye at Walmart yesterday! I'm make crisps today!
oh lucky! Have fun!
Genius! I will hit the Asian market for some thin sliced meats ❤️ I’ve been wanting to try the carnivore crisps, but i am too cheap!
best of luck with the move! I hope you’re able to sell quickly. The market here in Austin is HOT. Houses are selling high and fast. Will miss seeing you often, but that will just give me more time to cook(and clean up).
I have never seen beef fingers here, but I said the said about picanha until I saw it at Costco a few months ago. When I make beef cheek I get the thickest and most delicious jello. It’s super fatty, so I try to only have it a few times a year.
The market is hot here too. Great for selling but then I have to buy also. nerve wracking! The beef fingers might also be called boneless ribs maybe.
Nice I just started BBBE Monday,
Yay, good luck!
Congrats Anita
Thank you!
Thank you! I’m interested in all these recipes! Can’t wait to try those Anita Crisps b/c I just can’t justify the insane price of the other meat crisps.🤪
Yeah, way too expensive for me!
Congratulations on your New Move!!! So enjoyed this video on the crisps and your rib fingers and lamb!!! We will be here when you get settled in!!!! Have a safe move! Hi Pippy (not sure I have met you before💖) and Teddy!!!
Pippi only comes out of her doggie bed once in awhile when something interests her. She's a senior and happy to just watch.
I am praying for a place with a fabulous light-filled kitchen for you! May the timing for the vacating/moving in work like clockwork, too! 😘 ~Steph
Thanks so much! 😊 I hope that comes true!
Super excited to go see if I can find some hotpot meat in my grocery store. Those crisps really look good. And the "fingers" are some of my favorite types of beef. Great for adding collagen to my meals.
Good luck with moving. It is hard if you have been living in one place for a while to pare down if you are downsizing and getting everything packed and then unpacked. But looking forward to your videos as they come out.
I love the collagen too! I've already donated lots of items, there were things I had not used in years!
Best of luck with your move!!!
Thank you!
Hooray!!! You're moving!
Yes, I'm excited!
As a carnivore ..I love love this mix up 😋
I'm really enjoying all the meat this week and shopping in my freezer!
Anita Crisps lol. You have great food ideas. Thanks.
😊 thank you! 💗
Thanks for giving alternative cooking methods. I live in an apartment and don't have room/money to store/buy a lot of the gadgets I see in many carnivore and keto videos.
You are so welcome!
Wow, the money saving. Were the rib fingers from Save on Foods? I don't have an instant pot, but I have several pressure cookers of different sizes, and I love them. Hope your move goes smoothly. I too am a Canadian, from the BC interior.
Rib fingers were from Real Canadian superstore and the price has gone up substantially in the several months since this was filmed ! Be sure to watch my recent budget beef meal prep videos! And hello from Langley BC! 🍁😍
Thanks so much for this video! Can’t wait to make the crisps! I’ve never seen the rib fingers in the US… do you think they’re the same as our country ribs? (From the shoulder, not the loin)
Maybe they are, they are very thick and meaty but come out so tender in the crockpot or instant pot.
Sorry. I wasn't paying enough attention. I was busy watching the wind whipping through there from your tree in the window. I have to re-watch now. Nice!
lol, we've had some crazy weather here lately!
Great video Anita. It's so much better to make our own carnivore crisps! Yours looked great. I love doing lamb ribs in the air fryer too. They're super tasty even with just salt on. I hope your move goes well. I am very excited for you.
Thank you so much!
i need to get back on track. ive got to get cooking ahead of time so things are available when im craving chips and what nots. and the easy meat cooking methods make so much sense. like you, im a bit older now. grins. i just have to wrap my head around meat centered meals more. and go from there. and get some hard boiled eggs ready in the fridge too! your videos make everything so simple, Anita. from one Canadian to another... thank you.
You can do it! A bowl of eggs in the fridge is such a life saver when I'm snacky, one egg is quite filling to tide me over! With doing ketovore (meat centered keto) I have way less inflammation so I feel like it's the right thing to do!
@@KetogenicWoman i was very fortunate in that i took Dr. Eric Westman's AYLA master class on Keto last year. i know how to eat now. for me it's all about finding a way to conquer the cravings. i take an anti-depressant that causes hunger/weight gain. it's really only a problem late at night and i'm a night hawk. i'll figure it out... hopefully sooner than later. eggs and those crisps will help!
great video as usual, thank you Anita. Here in Australia we are paying A$ 25 to 30 for a rack of lamb
Oh wow! That's not nice at all!
Congrats on the weight loss, I really like the idea of the Anita crisp and the beef in the instanta pot make want to make that this weekend. Not the biggest lamb fan but its ok.
If you used the air fryer instead of the oven would they be more crunchy
They might be but I can only make a tiny amount in there. They are pretty crunchy enough for me but a dehydrator might be nice some day!
Try Little Fork farm north of Kamloops, grass finished, they partner with other farms and deliver. They have a website.
Thank you! 💗
Found some shaved beef at Trader Joe’s and made my own Anita Chips. All I can say is delicious!
Oh wonderful!
Best of luck with your move.
Thank you so much!
Hi Anita! Just found your channel, and I’m not sure if anyone mentioned this already but there is a product in Canada that uses zero sugar in their beef jerky called McSweeney’s , I have found it at Walmart and Food Basics thus far .
Yes, you are right! I have recently found the zero sugar one at a local grocery store. It's very clearly marked!
Kinda makes me want to go back to BBBE. LOL I hope I can find some thinly sliced meat, I don't have a slicer either. I have a rack of lamb in my freezer too, sometime soon will try the air fryer method.
Hope you enjoy! All this is good on Keto too!
thanks for the video. i can see the weight loss in your face. i have to make those recipes, especially the crisps.
They are so good to snack on and now that I can make them cheaply I can have more than 1 piece lol!
@@KetogenicWoman that's the REAL healthfood snack
Congratulations on your weight lose!!! I'll try the eggs fast!!
Love all the content! About the Carnivore Crisps calcs, though, was the beef you bought grass-fed? Because that would be significantly more expensive than the Asian grocery stores. I suspect it would still even be cheaper than buying the American Carnivore Crisps! Making anything yourself usually is, right?
PS - love the accounting calculator. Takes me back to my finance days, figuring out future and present values! 😁
It's almost impossible to find grass fed beef here in Canada, very rare! It would still be cheaper. Also, I now have a meat slicer so if I ever do find a grass fed roast that would be the way to go!
I'm looking forward to trying my hand at some of the meat crisps. This gives me an excuse to buy meat slicer. 😁
They are nice and crunchy! Try them out from a butcher or get hot pot meat at the Asian grocery first to see if you like them!
I have a meat slicer and will give this a try. One tip freeze the meat to get nice thin slices & less mess! Even if you are slicing by hand it makes a world of difference. I do this for pork and chicken cutlets - usually by hand because I'm too lazy to clean the slicer - and it comes out great.
@@bbrown8353 Thanks for the tip! 😊
@@bbrown8353 Great tip, thanks!
