My wife and I got on the subject of nutrition. While I'm not 100% carnivore, that does make up the majority of my meals. She is convinced that we all need fruits and vegetables to be healthy. I told her we can get everything we need from meat. She commented that I believe whatever I hear on you tube. So I asked her. "who do you think I listen to"? I don't know but they didn't go to college was her response. So I started to tell her about Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and others. At that point she just got mad and wanted to change the subject. People don't want to be challenged on long held beliefs.

You can get plenty of good things from fruit and veg... the question is whether those good things are outweighed by the bad things in fruit and veg. The jury is still out...

Ppl don't "think" eating carnivore is unhealthy. Firstly... most people (especially under 40s) don't think. Secondly ... they believe .... stuff like advertising by BIG FOOD, Pharma, Medicine, social media. They have lost the ability to think critically.

Yeah, and the plant-based narrarive helps with this process : so many ex-vegans talk about brain fog and how it clears up when they start eating high fat animal products. Many describe it as "coming back to life".

Yep. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day": everybody knows that, right? I heard it from doctors as well. Too bad it was an advertisement for Kellogg in the late 1800s that somehow has become generally accepted medical knowledge/advice.

    • @dawnelder9046

The slow brainwashing started in the 1800s. Adventist. Think Kellogg and Post. The American Academy of Nutrition is Adventist. The American Heart Association is a front for the food and drug industry.
I believe the lies for years and thought something was wrong with me.
Then my husband had 3 strokes and we found out he was diabetic. Only 180 pounds at the time. Fed him the Adventist influence diet they gave me at the hospital. Every 3 weeks both his blood work and he himself were worse. This went on for 8 months. 210 by then. So gaining weight.
It is when it hit me that the so called healthy diet advice that had failed me for decades was failing him.
That was about 14 years ago.

Worse...When you take a close look at the published literature - for longer than 50 years - you can see that 'they' have known what they have been recommending is false. Even worse than that, is that it has long been known that what is being recommended is actually detrimental to human health. You could forgive genuine error through lack of knowledge for example. But the evidence is that big-agra and big-pharma have teamed-up to create the perfect and self sustaining storm : poison you with the food then treat the symptoms of the poisoning with more poisons (meds) I stopped being angry a long time ago, but they've caused so much avoidable Ill health and misery.

This was a great interview. I especially liked the part (around the 15 minute mark ) where Zack mentioned to his doctor how he eats, (not stressing carnivore) just regular reccomendations.. and the doctor said, great, your blood work is perfect. My doctor, after losing 20lbs from previous visit, sat up straight in his chair and his glasses steamed up when I said I was doing (KETO at the time) and the conversation went down hill from there! The "20" lb. loss was quickly forgotten as the conversation shifted! I don't talk "eating style anymore" with him, have gone about 90% carnivore since then, lost more weight and now he questions my BEER drinking when I come in each time! I tell him I knocked 2 back in the parking lot before I came in because of the "white coat" syndrome I experience in his office! The converstion doesn't last long then! Thanks Doctor B.

This will sound ironic coming from an engineer who is all about data and numbers, but if I have less knee joint aches, can do more exercise reps, sleep even better than I used to, know other people have normal blood work, I don't personally see the need to also get tested to know for sure what carnivore is doing to me. That is the knock I get from my family at just two months in on this diet so far. I mean what are the odds that this is bad for me given the positives so far? Unlike a Va XX I'm quite certain this is safe and effective.

I was whole food vegan for 5 years was doing it perfect, Dr had no concerns, blood work was great. But I had to take many supplements, I had brain fog, mental difficulty concentrating, body pain, gained 40lbs, was depressed, had anxiety. I put all of it to my weight gain and tiredness of having three kids, and pain due to my weight. My husband was suffering bad with depression and anxiety that I had to dig deep into the ex vegan information and found this was actually all common side effects. We decided for our health we need to add meat back in and that first week our depression and anxiety is 1000 times better. My body pain is almost gone, I have energy to move. And just within 6 months.
JANUARY I started animal based (meat, fruit, honey, eggs, fish, cheese, dairy) I have loved it and have lost 7 lbs already without exercise I can focus very well, enjoy my meals and depression and anxiety is back to my pre vegan days. I am a firm believer we need meat and real foods in our diet ( I do still add some vegetables many fruit are classed as veg and incorporate potatos and rice as these don't bother me ) I cut all bread and wheat carbs
I talk alot about this and how it changed my kids behavior and brain use in just a few weeks on our pike homestead channel but if your vegan and making excuses for how you feel I highly push you should reflect on your diet

Dr Eckberg had a good vid on his ch comparing Walk VS Running. His conclusion is Walking is better because it doesnt increase cortisol. He is a former Decathlon Olympian. He recommends Keto but, has vids on carnviore. He just did a vid on "Eating 100 tablespoons of butter with eggs for 10 days" and shows his blood test before and after. his blood work stayed the same.

There was more to it than just the cortisol thing. During an easy walk you are utilizing fat for energy very efficiently, while if you run intensely your body requires quick energy supply from glucose in much less efficient way even via gluconeogenesis from muscles. It is not possible to grow muscles in that way. That was really very good educational video.

Why the heck this happens whenever I think of something "uncommon" or if something doesn't add up then I came upon a conclusion, it just happens that uncommon thing is actually real? This started when I was in highschool back then, I was like no, our tongue doesn't work like that! Then 10 years later I was right! Also, I was also right about eating fish eggs, it made my brain respond faster when I was growing up. I also had a classmate back then, his lunch and dinner was always: meat based. I myself even had trouble with my vision back then even when I was told to eat carrots, but my pediatrician recommended me to eat more eggs, specifically duck eggs.(this was in grade school)

I've now seen and read about so many people who have done amazing on this diet, probably a hundred so far. They also look absolutely amazing and very healthy. And then some people in the comments go "but, but, but... veggies and fruit" or some argument about life expectancy on every single video/post. I've literally never seen anyone do THIS good on any diet. Vegans don't have these results and definitely not on this scale.
Sorry guys but the results speak for themselves. How big of a case study do you need to question "science" from 50 years ago which is known to be influenced by the food and healthcare/pharmaceutical industry for the wrong reasons?

Pastured eggs are a little better than non-pastured, but they are still from chickens which are fed grains. Chickens will eat plants like clover, but the clover doesn't grow for half of the year. Even when they have fresh clover they still need protein from bugs, which they will get from dung flies, but again, seasonally. A non-grain egg can only come from chickens who are full time free range, and have enough forage diversity from plants and bugs to sustain egg development. We free range our chickens, but still have to feed them grains, especially in the winter. In the spring and summer there is plenty of forage, but we only back off of the feed rather than stopping altogether. The reason is to get more eggs from fewer chickens.
Eggs do store long term if not washed and are stored at the right temperature. We tried it for six months and found the eggs to be just fine. If you truly free range and don't feed grains, you have to save your eggs for the winter. That can be a lot of eggs. I don't know how the big producers "pasture" their chickens in the winter.

Opinions are fine when it comes to politics or religion, but nutrition advice as well as medical advice should be purely research based - not opinion. And? If u know u are gonna cheat on carbs, hsve ACV on empty stomach and also steamed pack choy ( almost zero antinutrients, and helps reduce spike of insuline)
Also, whenever you do cheat, it’s important you exercise full body the next two days and keep your fat intake low and then gradually re-introduce it.

Berberine ? Mhhh… Have to look into it, never heard it before, sounds like a Dr Berg, kind of thing LOL
I’d rather do ACV as it’s tried and tested … and wld stick to that rather than do like some of my “keto” friends ( so they think “keto” ! ) that just can’t let go certain dryly carbs or vegetables, or even daily wine, and try to make up for this by doing things that I think are detrimental to our body/system, such as hacking the ketones production with MCT oil, or similar stuff like that.
I mean, I would use this method sporadically, only bought MCT oil once and found it way too expensive to buy it regularly., just because I felt that it’s something you shouldn’t use as a remedy, but not as a daily hack, can’t be too good for the body to confuse inputs in such a manner
This is also in view of the fact that recently I sort of was forced due to tighter financial situation to slightly decrease the level of quality of food from fresh seafood or fully grassfed “Farmers market to partially grass fed and best-possible-quality available from supermarkets ( wild caught frozen fish ) and same for eggs.
Lucky for me I didn’t notice any differences at all so far, but who knows what could happen internally or in the long term, so I’d rather not mess about with things too much.
I’m also lucky I can play tennis at high-level every day so that surely helps towards things.
Sorry for going on and on and on and on about things, but sometimes it’s needed. I haven’t commented on UA-cam for a long time … kind of left out commenting on purpose tbh, does my head in!

I've had no problems with pork belly and sugar free bacon and some dairy and I've completely reversed Rheumatoid arthritis got off biologic medication and my inflammation markers are now lower than they were on the meds! Yes, butter is dairy and that gets confusing when carnivores say "no dairy" but eat loads of butter! I avoid Milk and dairy foods with lactose and milk proteins but good quality cheese is OK for me as the enzymes that turn it into cheese eat the lactose, and butter is made from cream so already has very minimal, if any lactose and whey protein. With any uncertainty I'd say, try it and see, if you're not getting results, cut it out.
